Wow.. very interesting. Im from South Shields and live in the area Catherine was born and grew up my nana was born in the same year as Catherine 1906 and ended up in the same work house at the same time as Catherine.. thank you for uploading! :)

Catherine Cookson "s early books are masterpieces. the huge amount of research she must have done beggars belief . she was a wonderful woman.
