- Enjoy our full show from the All Good Music Festival 7/12/08 from Marvin's Mountaintop in Masontown, WV.
Enjoy our free stream and we just ask for any of those that are willing and can afford to do so, please consider supporting our ‘Help On The Way’ initiative for our hard-working and deadicated crew.
It’s only getting more and more challenging for our extended family, our crew, to get by as this pandemic strings us all along into uncertainty. Any donation would be greatly appreciated at: Paypal.me/darks... or bit.ly/DSO-Help...
I worked “security” at All Good that year, my first shift was checking cars for drugs hahahaha. I was tripping while doing it (just following everyone else’s lead, I had just graduated high school) and letting everyone go and telling them “alright you’re all good!!!”
I worked 8am- 8pm every day, so I got to catch this set :)
My favorite from the 08’ fest was Brazilian Girls.
I was there. This show literally changed my life
Looking back, I think this night/show changed the trajectory and course of my incarnation more than any other, especially for someone like me, too young to have seen Jerry in this incarnation. This was the night I got on the bus, and in the intervening years since, I’ve heard from many folks that I was not the only one with that story from this night. Many of us youngins were blessed to partake of that great, ancient ritual on this night: a true rite of passage occurred.
Whoever was kinda center in the back passing out massive DMT rips to everyone who wanted to partake ..... Thank you . WOW BLAST OFF ME AND TB were enjoying the ride and oh man what a ride DSO gave us that night . Props to whoever you are and again this show will always be in my top 10 best performances I've ever seen live ...
The best Dead cover band ever
Man, I remember this night, DSO sounded oh so good back then. I know it would be unfair to Jeff but I would love to see John K back in DSO!
You never know!
Yeah, grateful to Jeff for stepping up, but would give anything for John to be back. They were the best Dead act around back then. They are still the only ones that truly scratched that itch for me.
Me too. They were so much better then.
Sage and Spirits tomorrow night in Denver. Ohhhhhhhh yeah.
This vid just blew me away. I never comment on stuff.
Saw them at allgood the year before. Used to go see them in Asheville every feb and sept (I think), back around 2005-2007. Some of the best times
wow yeah…..jk brought a lot of power and presence to this band compared to now. i had no idea.
Hey! Bob & Phil did not just ask John to play in Further by accident! Think about it!
@@dougpotosky4102 True, but on the other hand, Donna did not just ask Jeff to play in the Zen Tricksters by accident either.
Well, they are all older now but yeah I preferred John in DSO. Funny, I spent 20 years wishing the dead played like the old days eg 71-77. Now I feel that way about DSO. Really happy for the 8 years or so i got with dark star though!
This was such a fun night on the mountain top! Thank you for the memories here! Wow!
During the Scarlet/Fire jam, there were moments when the piano player sounded very un-Keith! Keith was great but this guy is great too, in a different way.
Badassery from start to finish
He sounds just like Bobby.
Hey DSO was Dan Healy still doing sound here???
🔥 On The Mountain is🔥
Dso was better with John k.
I don't think I've ever heard a Bertha like that ..
LOVE IT- BUT NOT THE BARE WALK DANCING LOL, GOT SLIPPERS OR SOMETHING? LOL.
💖💖💖💖💖
☮️💚🤗🎼🎶🎵🎵🎶🎵🎶😍
I get that j.k had the chance to play with phil and Bobby, so he left dso, but that was a mistake in my opinion. That only lasted a year or two and where is he now? Meanwhile, dso is still going strong
Furthur was 5 years wasn't it?
@@deadreckoning6288 idk exactly how many years, but it wasnt much. At most 4 or 5
Hes with jgb
Those were the years. John was fabulous.
@@guyinoregon1 I miss Furthur so much. They achieved lift off damn near every night. John K knows how to drive the bus. And the tempos were blistering with furthur. It really was the last great hurrah.
44:35 Mission in the Rain
Where did that come from?Take out Black Peter,Ship of Fools or China doll?
I think its great
And this band not only pulls it out but with mastery and grace
