You can just open the side wall of the bedroom so you can see what she/he trying to show you or everytime she/he try to bring you inside

I had ferrets that did this, when the mother had a litter of babies she insisted on dragging my hand to come see! 😂 now I'd love ferrets again but it would be cruel if I'm working 12 hours a day
Oh yes, I agree, it's much better for pets to have you around... although that said ferrets do sleep 18 hours a day, so as long as they have a safe space while you're gone they're one of the better pets for busy people 🥰🐾
@@FerretTubeTV I learned while watching a channel called Casual Geographic that ferrets can fall into such a deep sleep that they actually look dead. Just one of the few things I know of ferrets

Its horrifying the first few times, and then it just becomes kind of funny. I once had a ferret that would do this out of a hammock, which led to then sleeping while a third of their body is hanging off a hammock.

I like to imagine that due to the difference in size, they don't register us as full beings, but they rather think about us as hand beings with some attached rest of the thing. We're mainly hands, the rest is almost irrelevant.
I think you're right.. also, they are not natural engineers 🤣
Sorta like how humans interact with the Elder Gods. We're only seeing the physical flesh, the hand, and not registering within our mind that there's so much more than just the hand to be seen.

Yup.. she also stashes every soft toy that enters the enclosure :) But I do still feel special 😂

@@whenimmanicimgodly4228 Ferrets only smell if you don't keep them clean and don't clean up their messes. Our blind ferret never smelled because we gave him bathes regularly and kept his cage and balls clean.
The little bugger hated socks though, blind as a bat and it would always know when you had socks on and would attack them.
@@whenimmanicimgodly4228 Some pet stores sell shampoos, sprays and powders specifically for making musky friends less intense smelling. I would Google a care guide to see what a healthy bathing frequency is (some animals can develop issues if bathed too often) and then just maintain the toys, cage and play area, anything that would hold their scent or get peed on.

Yes, ferrets are known to do that.. it's possible Scruffles thinks my fingers are babies? It always makes me giggle 😂
@@FerretTubeTV I dunno but I doubt it. I suggest resisting the urge to giggle and make gentle ouches. I know with dogs and toddlers that this only encourages the behavior. They see your emotive response as verification that they’re doing good.
How about a firm “no”? Or even dipping your fingers in salt and lemon juice. Do ferets respect authority?
I know when dogs bark for no reason, they can be distracted by lemon mixed with water sprayed from a spray bottle in the air. They have simpler brims and will forget they were barking for a while.
There is another video where a female ferret did this to its owner to show her her new babies. Was really heart warming.
I remember seeing that video. It's so sweet that they trust their human so much 🥰
@drakeil Nah, they actually do it because they mistake human fingers for ferret babies. So they want to bring them back to the nest

@@paint4326 It's possible it could sometimes be the case, but quite often all kinds of different species of pets will bring people they trust over specifically to meet their babies who don't look like human fingers. Cats, dogs, goats, chickens, deer, cattle, horses... So it's not a stretch to think that it's quite likely the same case for some ferrets too.
They also bring over other animals in the group as well, if they highly trust them. Especially with social animals, it's important to get their "family" to bond with each other, so the babies learn who they can trust, & so the other family members can watch them & keep them safe whenever the mother needs to go elsewhere.
(Heck, sometimes overly-friendly cats & dogs will lead people they just met to their babies! Like they're just so proud of them that they want to show them off! 😄 Or maybe it's because they consider everyone a friend.)

@@doz7496I had cats, ferrets and a small Pomeranian. The dogs and ferrets get on.The cats are annoyed by the dog and they won't sleep in certain places as the ferrets occasionally come and attack them from behind.
@@doz7496 I saw a video once of a ferret that helped raise a kitten, so they were always like mother and child. 😁

My ferret (Mishka) would also do this when it was nap time. He would pull me to his bed and had me pet him till he fell asleep.

@@FerretTubeTV I think I've imprinted on the ferrets at my college: we let them run around the Small Furry room for half an hour one day and one of them disappeared. He'd snuffled into my carryall and fallen asleep. They really don't let go once they have you lol

i love that ferrets have no concept of big thing does not fit in small space. my bestie has three ferrets and they constantly try to pull large objects into tiny holes and its so silly
haha, that's exactly it! I've seen Scruffles try and force a too-big toy through that bedroom tunnel for an hour, over and over she pulls and pulls until it rolls off the high ledge, then she runs back down and starts again! We call it the 'Dragonball Run' czcams.com/video/uacaKWMRwcg/video.html 😂😂

I've had ferrets in the past. They are wonderful pets if you're willing to do the husbandry and interact with them. Such smart, amazing creatures.

@@none_o_ur_bidnis I’ve seen videos of ferrets mistaking human fingers for their young. Ferrets are little pink things when they’re born and I think maybe this ferret has a strong maternal/paternal instinct and might be mistaking the finger for a baby. Just my perception though.
@@mayhemK59 my ferret seemed to know exactly what a hand was, and at first knew where to bite. Right in the webbing between the thumb and pointer, but as far up as possible in the meatier part.

I find it adorable how he puts your finger behind her canines so you don't get punctured. It shows he's not trying to hurt you! My dog does the same when I'm playing with her and she's biting my hand. She always gets my finger behind her canines it still hurts some but nothing like it would if they were puncturing my skin lol

I had a ferret who did that but then again ferrets have 3 moods: it's mine, chill floof noodle and super-duper-hyper-psycho fluffy war noodle
haha those three modes are perfect :) And yeah, she has me wrapped around HER finger for sure :)

I love war noodle. Stitch loved hide n go seek. The moment he would see me arrive to 2nd floor, we would do his dance and then zoomed across the floor like a little horse. Hard happy gallops.
What I find the funniest is a group of ferrets is called a business

I had an albino ferret as a pet. My son just had to have one. So we bought him one and she turned out to love me and hate my son. She was the sweetest and smartest animal I have ever had. Cried my eyes out for weeks after she passed.

@@MissChoksondik90 can't remember the lifespan. But I think their similar to dogs with Pavo an Distemper if I remember right. Hopefully someone else can answer as I'd like to get another one as I miss my mate Ferrus. He escaped after a housemat didn't latch his hutches lid correctly.
My father called the attachment as being “takes to”. The family is supposed to ignore the pet until the the animal takes to the owner. The owner has to spend all the time and feed and play. Everything.

awww.. thank you! Though if you want ferrets as pets you need to get at least two 😂 They live in bonded pairs or groups and will be MUCH happier with a companion
