As an athlete, I get my calcium from plants and nuts . I dont need to torture an innocent animal for my taste buds. 100 percent vegan and I love it.

Lord Krishna said that drink milk if something is left after the calf is fed completely with it's mother's milk because that milk is meant for that calf only not for us...we should consume if something is left otherwise it's not our right to do so ... He never suggested exploitation or slavery therefore he used to free the calves (so that they can drink milk of it's cow mother) that gopis used to tie with a rope. It's your perception that you don't try to understand the acts of God n messages that he tried to give to the mankind.
The point is principally the milk is not yours. And no mother produces extra milk. Its only for disfigured calves that it produces IgA rich milk.
Also if your mom had your sibling after you, would you be okay with some stranger man or any animal coming and sucking milk from her because your sibling has been fed for the day?

We indians drink cow milk and yes we use diary products but not by exploiting the animals. In ancient times, we treated cows like our family member. Every house has a cow, we protect the cows from big animals and feed/take care of her and treat cows like our mothers. In exchange we get milk after her calf had his potion. Then we make many food articles with milk like curd, paneer, dahi and mithai etc. In india we worship cows and other animals because they give us a lot and feed us morally. So we don't exploit not in a single way. But today's industrialists exploit these animals and we don't know about this. This is sad and depressing 😥 . But in a traditional indian way, cow nurture us.

He said its sinful to consume anything else than what's offered I.e. plant food. Have coconut milk and cream, soy curd, cashew cheese, almond milk for sweets for taste, why sexually exploit cow, goat, buffalo for pregnancy just to have milk.

A mother's mammary glands produce milk which is sufficient for its baby but in dairy farms cows produce more milk than the calf needs because she is given the type of food and injected with hormones like oxytocin which makes them produce more milk ,so, why don't we leave animals in their natural surroundings ,build sanctuary for them and let them live freely like we live

Yeah firstly we should never compare ourselves with God we should only chase their instructions not copy their deeds. Secondly, when Lord Krishna drank milk and other milk products that time, the mother cow was not being exploited like today. There were lot of cows and all are worshiped and cared like their own family members and they were neither given by artificial insemination nor any hormonal injections. And they were not being cut for beef at all also their calfs were first fed by their own mother's milk than human used to take cow's milk that was extra. Even Lord Krishna cared their cows by his own going to jungles and fed them. Mother cow loved Lord Shree Krishna like her own baby. Please don't compare that time with today that is only cruelty for Cows and buffaloes.

Hi Aravind , when you take these things to children , who are usually not a disciplined group when it comes to eating , what sort of a counter you have where kids can risk being malnourished.? As an adult vegan, I take supplements B12 , and very conscious about calcium at 40 so am disciplined to incorporate all varieties to stay healthy. This will not happen with kids . Long term effects of soy milk arent proven either. So giving soy milk to kids may not be a great idea... It will serve you better to talk to parental groups about this rather than kids since all they will do is stop eating but will not be in a position to do enough research to substitute the nutritional value. Please consider this objectively. I think you should take this to college level and above ...school kids are too young and malnourishment even in affordable families are a big problem. In my opinion if all of us above 25 stop taking milk and milk products , and stop eating meat a WHOLE LOT of CRUELTY can be stopped . Don’t cows enjoy the process of getting milked? I’ve actually googled it and found out that cows like the process of extracting milk from them. I don’t see any harm that we are causing to them. Of course using steroids and other chemicals or using machines to torture them and forcefully extracting milk is definitely wrong. But how about natural extraction of milk? Correct me if I am wrong.
There’s nothing natural about today’s dairy industry :)
