Just to share with u.. in Singapore we have a strictly 1 min to turnout to the scene as quickly as possible to access the situation. We have mainly the Fire engine aka Pump Ladder. We got the Red rhino aka LFAV also know as Light Fire Attack Vehicle. Is indeed a pickup truck customize and modify. Then we have the fire bike which u saw in the video..
Rapid response bike always last becoz due to the gear that they have to wear before riding the bike. Just imagine if the rider never gear up and reach there just the uniform with things burning. How will the public think??
In my country we have some EMS bikes but they are very rare. I think its because not many paramedics know how to ride bikes here and theres not really any courses for emergency bikes.
@@josef5319 When we introduced motorcycle paramedics in my part of Australia those staff completed the police motorcycle course. Probably the big difference is that our police, fire and ambulance services are all state government owned.

Hi Robert....we do have firefighters on motorcycles,if I'm correct ( should have googled this) in the NORTH WEST of the UK,I was watching a documentary rolling out these machines which due to their size only attend small incidents on the fireground, basically it's a cost cutting exercise or "AUSTERITY" to be precise and to be honest with you what I saw wasn't really impressive nor functional ,the only plus point would be the ability to get to an incident quickly do a quick reconnaissance and then call in the regular pumps and extra manpower if required, please check it out ...in case I'm wrong thank you
Graham Maguire they showed in a video from Singapore. They get there quicker to assess the situation, and try to contain the fire or start life saving first aid. It looked really beneficial for all.👍😁😎
@@robertdawson9114 Hi Robert that makes perfect sense as we know both police and paramedic motor cyclists really open the throttle up and cut through traffic like a hot knife in butter!!!!,only downside being they are highly vulnerable even with two's and blues on, but hey they are professional bike riders and both carry a lot of equipment especially the paramedic motor cyclists,I'll shall have to do some research to satisfy my curiosity and pass via CZcams a post to you!!!!,got a feeling it's going to be quite interesting reading, many thanks for your post it was far better than a large majority of replies to which I receive!!!, so until then I wish you a pleasant evening and weekend and " STAY SAFE",Best wishes and kind regards and thanks again I enjoyed reading your reply 😊 Graham in Lincoln ( UK)
@glenn peterson That would what we call the LF(AV) which stands for Light Fire Attack Vehicle, and is locally known as the 'Red Rhino'. The are stationed mostly at satellite posts which we call fire posts for quicker response in areas under a station's boundary but is still quite far. These vehicles can respond to calls such as Fire Decams (fire/smoke alarm activation), small fires, support in bigger fires, rescue incidents, etc. It is basically a smaller and compact version of the PL (fire engine basically) that can navigate through traffic jams and small alleyways. It would provide quicker response due to its size. Certain stations have what we call an 'E' unit, which means there are trained Emergency Medical Technicians onboard. That being said, the unit is able to respond to high priority calls such as Cardiac Arrests. But these units have been stripped as of now due to the current situation. Hope this helped. Stay safe!
They hv to prepare their items and bearings before they leave. sometimes the firefighters are faster than the bikers for various reasons but the firebikers always reach the place faster
Firdauzsg It's the newest gen PL, some changes are the shutters and the front painted black colour, automated ladder system, different water jet on top as well. :)

Nicholas Tan EMT stands for Emergency Medical Technician, basically they are trained to handle life-threatening medical emergencies and is a level lower than paramedics, they can also respond in ambulances if required. That Dennis Sabre is our most legendary Pump Ladder.. in operation wise it can last very long for 2days. It is the most useful pump for long operation.
Note - While the "equipment" looks great .. it is far more important that there aren't mindless officers (or other ranks) trying to coerce their colleagues into wells/water pumps - aka - "kolam".
Excuse me, malaysian side fire department called BOMBA. They also come to SCDF to learn drills becoz we got more advance technology equipment and tools that they never use before.. and in Singapore this is SCDF = Singapore Civil Defence Force.
