    Respect. You’re the first DJ that I’ve seen do a tutorial about music organization that makes sense. I already have a near perfect method to organize my Serato crates. It’s taken me eighteen years of occasional revisions, but I’m 90% happy with it. But, I’m constantly searching for new ideas, methods, and techniques. I’ve been using Mixed in Key and Platinum Notes for fifteen years now. I won’t put anything into my Serato without initially running it through said software. However, I’ve never heard of Lexicon DJ? I’m going to have to look into it. Solid video. Continued success with your channel.

      @@officialJonDivine and do you have a strategy for certain combos of songs which go very well? How do you put them together somehow?

    • @officialJonDivine
      @officialJonDivine  Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@Potzakv20 I always begin with the purpose of the songs - is it used to start a dance floor? Slow it down? Hype it up? etc.
      I then go by the popularity of the track, giving or starting with something that typically everyone knows.
      After I have that song I typically go after the energy and danceability ratings that match the keys of the first song. From there, you'll start seeing that putting together a set list is pretty easy. Hope this helps!

    Does either software scan & put the scale/key into the filename, or make crates for each scale/key ?

    Question, what’s the difference between using the smart crates feature on Lexicon vs the smart crates feature on Serato?

    • @360kal
      @360kal Před rokem

      same they both auto populate the list but lexicon gives you more options to formula your smart list

    So let say you pay for the software for a few months get all set with organization . Whats next do you cancel it or you kind of have another monthly fee thing forever? I am a kind if a part time mobile small time dj that has 10-15 gigs a year just to keep me busy and it gets kind if expensive with all other subscription. What would you recommend? I do find this software very cool and useful but can not seems to pool the trigger 😊.

      I believe that once you use it, you’ll find that it’ll be hard to not use it often. It’s such a powerful tool. However, you can do crate organization with your DJ software

    How do these programs work with online dj pools like Beatsource?

    • @officialJonDivine
      @officialJonDivine  Před rokem +1

      If you’re referring to streaming options, lexicon CURRENTLY doesn’t have a legit streaming pool organization option.
      However, if you download your individual tracks from beatsource, you can follow the same steps in my videos
