you can always run a wire for a ground to make sure it's secure. also shake all the connections. over time corrosion builds up even the most minimal. keep it up
9:22 Unless you stick your fingers under the anode cap on the tube, there's nothing on the chassis that will shock you when it's powered off. As for the interference, defintely install another screw in the other location. If that doesn't work, take an alligator clip, clip one end to the frame, and clip the other end to to the vertical IC heat sink and see if that solves the issue.

If it’s truly a ground issue try to scratch the metal a little to get fresh ground connection. Cab old might be dust and grimes built up by the ground. Use a wire brush if you have one.

I used to only have 1Ups but I bought a few real machines and ended up building the "Shed-Cade" in my backyard so I'm buying more and more real cabs. They vary in price. I usually buy them cheap but they need work to get them nice again. I got Hydro Thunder for $450 but the monitor needed work. I got Rush the Rock for only $400 but the monitor was dead when I got it. Killer Instinct 1 was the most expensive, I paid $1300 for it but that was still a really good price and it was fully working. KI2 was only $800 but did need some work too. If you search long enough you'll find a good deal or two.
It was recapped and had a new flyback installed. I'm going to pull it out this weekend, go buy another screw (hopefully) to fully anchor the chassis down. If that doesn't work, someone gave me a few other tips to try. I'm determined to fix it haha.

I opened the door one day and found tons of baby black widows all around my trailer. I assume I picked one up while working and they hatched in there. I almost walked right into them but just happened to notice one. I'm always careful in there now.
I looked to see if Teespring made them, since they make literally everything else (want a KAG shower curtain?! Haha) but they don’t! I don’t think I’ll be making and mailing my own stuff anytime soon but if get a few extra in the future I’ll post about them.

I was too when I started but it’s 100% just getting some learning, experience, and confidence. When I changed my first cab back from an lcd to a CRT, it looked so much better with a tube, it really changes the visual experience with a CRT and they’re completely worth it. Games of that era were made for that crt resolution and just look right. You can even go the route of repurposing consumer TV’s if you’re on a budget too.
I was terrified of them. But got over most of my fear of them. The more you learn about them the easier it gets. But fixing them or worrying they’ll fail isn’t the most fun. Its worth keeping them though. Much better than LCDs.

The only bugs I’ve really seen in there was a roach, which is only the second one I’ve ever seen on my property in 13 years lol. A few small spiders but nothing worth showing. Run the wire up the sign then across the window seal. I’m sure you’ll need a extension corn or splice it yourself and extend it.
