    Debbie
The garden is looking good. Lots better than ours this year. But our hay season neglect doesn’t seem to help ours. 🤔. I’ve never heard of master gardener so I may look at a SW Missouri group for garden help. We are new to gardening so we have to take all the help we can get.
Thanks a ton for the lesson….

The Master Gardening program can be helpful to learn more techniques and understand what makes plants do what they do. It is mostly information about understanding the foundation of plants, planting, conservation, etc.

I hope you did not pay anything to become a master gardener. Anyone can try ripping the gardening profession apart piece by piece to learn as much as possible about gardening.
The internet is considered to be like a library, so if I wanted to learn about gardening then I would do 2 things, and I already did both.
    1. Experiment
    2. Research
I had many failed attempts to grow from seed, and just to let you know growing from seed can be done any day of the year, and the climate does not really matter, for someone who truly learned about gardening!!!
A cold climate should be easier to grow than a hot climate, and yes it is possible to grow in a cold, or hot climate. I believe a warm climate is the best climate, for growing!
You talk about wind, and I do not think wind is a big problem. I already saw what kind of problems people are having with their gardens, and I tried to help 1 family to solve a gardening problem they had on youtube.
"Winds dry out a lot of things" is a statement you made!
Heat evaporates water. In other words heat faster removes the moisture that is in the soil plants, or trees, or herbs use to grow, so it is heat that dries out things, and high amounts of wind maybe can damage a garden.
No offence, but I think if you paid to become a master gardener then you should ask, for a full refund!
Anyways what I decided to do after I conducted my research was to stop growing, and I have a good reason, for stopping.

I'm not sure what sort of response you expect here, but this is your response...You do you. You are not me. I am not you.
