    Another solid interview, John!
In 1979, I saw the PMG (Pat, Lyle Mays, Jaco and 2 others) with Joni Mitchell on lead vocals at Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI. It rained so hard water was hitting the back of our knees gushing down that hill! After 4 songs my girlfriend and sister, the biggest Mitchell fan in the world, decided we should leave so the 3 of us departed. Four legends, never saw Jaco again. But, just saw Patrick this October in Milwaukee.

Love your work, John. You have a wonderful easygoing manner with your guests, know the material well and how to balance questions in interviews to make your guests feel at ease in discussing their work, and are very informative without ever sounding pretentious or condescending. It also helps that you still have a healthy dose of boyish curiosity and enthusiasm about musicians and their art and know how to get the most out of whatever thoughts, anecdotes, musical tips, life experiences and history they care to share. Bravo on a job well done with Trevor Rabin! If you ever find yourself in the States in the Washington, D.C. area, I would love to interview you at one of my alumni chapter events. I moved here from Montréal and always appreciate whenever I can connect with others who are accomplished professionals in their fields and have a similar perspective. Thanks for all you do, John. I always look forward to notifications from your channel(s) and watching your content. Best wishes for continued success in all you do, my friend.

I remember being in Jacos presence in 1986. He was doing a trio. He was pretty drunk but amazing as Always. In a small club in Columbus, Ohio

I just have to add that one of the bassists that Jaco loved was Rocco Prestia from Tower of Power. Yes, Jaco is one of the greatest, but I also go back to who inspired the greats. Great interview. Love Trevor's writing and playing, and obviously I love Yes.

I believe Steve Howe is the best all-around guitarist in rock, so it took me awhile to accept Trevor. But accept him I do. He's a hot player and a fine songwriter.
Yes, Jaco was in a league of his own playin' that 6-string fretless wonder! Insanity the way he died.
    Peace

One word Jaco. He was what Hendrix was to guitar. Jaco brought the electric bass to the forefront.

The problem is, nobody can name one song that Jaco plays on. Nobody can name any song Jaco wrote or any song that Jaco made famous. Nobody can say what exactly made Jaco a great bass player, nobody. Ok, now you try? SMH

John Entwistle has been voted number 1, or 2nd best bass player in EVERY fan based, or professional, or musician based poll, the last 55 years and the only bass player to be voted, Bass Player Of The Millenium. FACT.

Look up, "Bassist Of The Millenium" Only bass player one has ever been crowned by other bass players. See who pops up. That's right, John Entwistle.

The one and only best Bassest is Getty Lee!! There's no one that can play the bass as fast as Getty.
