I understand why Kerr DNP Tatum the first time around. But being down as much as 14 points in the 3rd quarter against Serbia in yesterdays game, Kerr should of put Tatum in. His set rotation was no longer working. Kerr needed to change the pace and give the opponent a new look. He needed to put Tatum in.

I already said this in a different thread. Watch the games again. Tatum is just clueless in Kerr's system. Kerr's system requires a different level of IQ. That's why White and Holiday always gets minutes because they get it. Watch how Tatum move around, he is completely clueless. Tatum would only get minutes if it's a blowout. There is no reset, if you lose one game, it's over. So why would Kerr risk it. It has nothing to do about Tatum's accomplishments. KD is MVP but he is coming off the bench, was he crying?

@@Nallareqrol The first time he had no playtime was a 26pt blowout vs Serbia. Kerr's system.....the players have already said he isn't using any design plays and they are just talk playing most of time. The system people reference is about the rotation of players.
I think Kerr and the other coaches don’t trust Tatum. If they did, they would play him. This isn’t a Steve Kerr solo decision. He’s just the guy taking the bullets.

Kerr has to have something personal against JT. It’s the only thing that makes sense. How do you sit one of the top 10 players in the league in the Olympics when your team is struggling? It’s the only explanation that makes sense! JT is guilty by association for defending JB!

NBA is the WWE, OLYMPIC BASKETBALL is like Olympic wrestling, It's the real game rules. Defense matters. Jayson Tatum Is one of the best NBA players on this team. He is not one of the best Basketball Players on this team. He is slow defensively in Real Rule Basketball, can't cover the back screens, and can't guard European Post Players. Offensively he settles for Jumpers, and does not know how to post up at his height. He does not dominate the boards, or block shots. He is not involved if he is not scoring. And he is not physical enough, BUT!!!!! He is perfect for NBA ruled Basketball.

And 2019 Jayson Tatum Led the World team, and they came in 7th Place. He is not good at traditional Basketball ruled games. @@DMKFACTOR It's not personal. Please watch the games, Tatum just don't know how Kerr's system works. It's not about Tatum's accomplishments, it's about how you understand Kerr's system. That's why Jrue and Derrick White always gets minutes because they understand their role. This is a team game, not one on one. This is what Lebron said in one of the podcasts about doubling and this star cries why he got doubled.

He could be fantastic. As a kid I saw Russell, outlast Wilt game seven. Celtics fans, could recognize, as excellent as Tatum, and Brown are, Holiday and White separate them from other contenders. No one would have thought those two would contribute to the Olympics so much!
Tatum is a grown man, he should understand that this game is not about the title. They are teammates in international game, this is not all about boston celtics that won in the last NBA season. This is about winning a gold medal and being a true world champion. It is not all about him, all of his teammates is also an MVP champs. Hoping to fixed his attitude, go ask Tyrese how to be jolly and excited when cheering the Team.
All of his teammates are NOT nba champs. Also, YOU are saying he has a bad attitude. JT has went on record to say that he is willing to do what is needed for the team to secure a gold. Also, there were 4-5 guys who were playing HORRIBLY yesterday, Kerr chose to be stubborn instead in adjusting.
He is saying that word but still acting like a baby. I hope they stop this issue about Tatum being bench because Tyrese is mostly no minutes or just have a little minutes but still happy and cheering for the team.
The Boston Celtics is a better team than this Olympics team. Bank on it. The best team in the world is the NBA's greatest franchise - THE Boston Celtics.
