Stane Straus is Managing Director of PBN Ltd. He travels extensively overseas and maintains relationships with central banks and banknote printers around the world, working on coin and banknote-related projects. He has advised central banks on banknote printing and on conversion to polymer notes.
Stane used to work at Note Printing Australia in Craigieburn, Australia and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. He is a co-author of several award-winning publications (awarded by the IACA and the IBNS) on polymer banknotes, has appeared on several news networks, including CNN and BBC, and is currently authoring a new book on polymer banknotes. He is also a Director-At-Large of the International Bank Note Society (IBNS). Stane also curates The Polymer Collection, the world's most advanced museum-quality archive of polymer banknotes and related material. Stane is based in Slovenia.
