This was definitely a peculiar operation, and our second attempt at a SCP-5000 operation! Last one was great but wasn’t the best for a video. This one however was a bit too goofy not to share. I like to imagine that in the SCP-5000 script, Ignis defected from the Foundation because "Being crazy and deranged was their number one goal." They don't need SCPs NOR the Foundation to do what they like to do, so they became their own Chaos Corp.
The foundation is killing humanity because it would be a mercy, because of the entity in the noosphere which created pain and scp 2718, and scp 682 hates huamnity beacuse of the entity

SCP-5000 The scariest thing it wasnt just the foundation losing it but something that takes away their pain, and all emotions. One part of the 5000 story is theres a lineup of a MTF and the leader stabs the 1st guy, no reaction. Stabs the 2nd, no reaction. The third cries out in pain and is shot and killed immediatly.
It isn't their emotions being taken away, but pain and death, they LEARNED something and it broke them.
If I remember correctly, they did it on purpose and it was sent to most personnel as some sort of cognitohazard.

It's implied to be empathy.
Yes, emotions, pain and caring for other humans is implied to not be natural for humans, but instead is caused by some horrifying thing infecting humanity with unknown goals, which were apparently terrible enough that the foundation unanimously decided that humanity's extinction was a mercy compared to whatever this thing was planning to do to humanity.

SCP-5000-2 "The Country problem" on the day of humanity's extinction a militia call the "goofy mountain boys" managed to hold off the foundation and other groups for multiple days and nights after taping into their coms the operator listening went into a stage of insanity that the foundation never has known after the phrase "Dale Earnhardt Jr. Has survived this cataclysmic event" the seconds later hearing of his demise
this is the most terrifying version of ignis to exist

Eldritch god requires pain and makes it so when you die, you don't actually "die" you simply inhabit your own corpse and feel EVERYTHING multiplied by 1000000x, Foundation figured it out and it BROKE them so they figured out a way to "free" themselves but they couldn't do it to everyone so they said "fuck it, we'll kill it by killing humanity"

@Hisnitch scp 5000 is a super suit designed to keep the wearer alive durinf and past the end of everything
It was super op but after using the time travel ability the suit broke down before the apocolypse
Sadly the person it tried to save died long before it traveled to before the apocolypse
@Hisnitch It is a suit that was supposed to keep its wearer alive by essentially making it so that nothing can perceive it directly, IE you can't look at it or hear it or smell it, et cetera. Total exclusion suit.
It wouldn't be that impressive of a piece of kit compared to all the other world ending and absolutely overpowered technology that the foundation has, except it has Data files on board that show that the council found something during one of their testing regimes - Something about the collective unconscious - and whatever they found was so terrifying that they unanimously voted to wipe out humanity because of it, And proceed to essentially apocalypse the planet with the various s c p s they had access to
I can say this with 100% confidence that these video are the highlight of my week. Thank you for them!
i wish there was more stories set in scp 5000 it the perfect setting to the give the OTHER supernatural factions a chance to shine from GOC to Horizin Iniative to Church of broken god and Serpents hand heck Marshal carter and dark could even shine in such a setting.
I know, so many people HATE the GOC and yet there are also a bunch of stories that just outright make you go "wait, are the SCP worse than the GOC?"
For those who haven't read it (do it) SCP-5000 is a suit of armor that is damaged and has several files on it and was found in SCP-579, the main story is in these files in which the Foundation discovers an entity and somehow we power it and to stop it the Foundation decided killing humanity was the best course of action. To do so they release multiple anomalies and weaponize them. Of course the other organizations like the GOC and The Serpants Hand try to stop the Foundation to no avail. Our main character, a foundation staff member was lucky enough to reach the suit of armor with the ability to exclude itself from reality rendering the user basically invisible before the mtf team that entered his site killed everyone, during his travel to another site to find answers he acquires SCP-55 which he doesn't remember getting and somehow knows he has to reach the other site to reset the universe. When he does reach it he jumps down SCP-579 where the story ends and presumably how the suit and his dead body were found.
Theory to the ending, scp-579 or The Entity, told him WHY it was happening.
Killing humanity wasn't the solution, it was mercy. They only did it after finding out what it's plans for humanity was, and decided that humanity dying was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than what that thing had planned.

Never thought I’d see an SCP-5000 op, but now that I think about it it fits really well when you consider the events of that story that don’t directly involve the SCP object itself. The antimemetics have always been my favorite so it’s nice to see them get some recognition!

Doctor [REDACTED] succeeded in recovering another entry from the SCP-5000 system. This entry has been added to the SCP-5000 archive. The following is an excerpt of the restored text:
"Diary entry 0001 - 6.1.
Recently I witnessed some damn strange events. Although the concept of "strange" in these terrible times is rather vague.
While walking towards Zone - 19, I came across a detachment of "civilian militia". Several dozen men in poorly fortified civilian vehicles crammed with guns, booze and explosives. And all this "guard" decided to give battle to the escaped Anomalies. I don't know what drives them - desperation, courage, stupidity or memetic influence.
They did not notice me, of course, thanks to the properties of the suit, so I decided to watch them from afar. And let me tell you, it was a spectacle!
As soon as the guys approached the town, which was nearby, things immediately went south for them. I think they ran into some kind of anomaly that does some kind of crap with gravity and space. I saw a couple of multi-ton jeeps just fly into the air, as if they were made of paper! A few more spontaneously exploded. But the men seem to be only entertained by this. I was finally convinced that they were under some kind of memetic influence.
As soon as these "soldiers of misfortune" reached the city, they were attacked, I think, by SCP-610. At least I think these things were 610. These vile creatures would clearly fit the description. There were some things that exploded when they ran up to people, and huge monsters, like skinned gorillas on steroids. But, surprisingly, the militias did not cope badly with them, since they had firepower like a small army.
It seems to me that I saw a bunch of infected SCP-008. Well, these guys were dealt with quickly, fortunately, I think they have seen a lot of films about the zombie apocalypse.
Everything went to hell when the Foundation came. The MTF has arrived in town. God knows what number of this MTF, I'm watching all this from afar through the scope of the rifle, which I picked up along the way, so I see only figurines in the form of the Foundtation. So I’ll tell you, no matter how many militias had weapons, and no matter how much their brains were broken by memetics, they could do little against trained MTF operatives. Yes, they managed to kill some of them, but the Foundation came with armored vehicles, helicopters and heavy weapons.
The last thing I saw, how the remnants of the militia moved towards the local airport. I won't risk going after them, there are too many madmen from the Foundation, and I wouldn't really want to get hit by a random bullet either.
Well, what can I say, it was at least some entertainment. Although the fact that this is starting to amuse me is scary."
