Absolutely brilliant opening concert track with Joni in the band in the zone. Saw Jaco with Weather Report several times but I think the bass playing on this track is some of his best work ever. Love this song!
Phillip Hardy I've read many articles about Jaco as well as his biography and learned that Joni had a way of telling him what to play without actually doing so this not offending him. She gave him the position of music director in all her productions. I think Jaco felt he had complete musical and spiritual freedom in this group.

But, when Jaco has said that he's the "greatest bass player in the world," that's really hard to argue with. There are other great bass players, but he is absolutely in a class all his own. Pure genius.
