I grew up watching my mom paint stunning portraits... unfortunately, her skills aren't something I inherited nor was ever able to learn. Despite lacking in talent, I have inexplicably held on to the desire to create art my entire life. After many preposterous attempts with a variety of paints/brushes, I gave up and instead focused on other ways of creative expression. I happened upon Donna's videos by accident last week and couldn't believe how simple she makes it look and how truly pretty her paintings are! I knew it had to be too good to be true; just knew I'd make a mess of it...but couldn't resist giving it a go. After rummaging around my craft cabinets for my long-forgotten painting stash, I realized the brush set i had bought long ago happened to be the FolkArt Premium brand and took it as a good sign! Lol I'm shocked, and very pleased to announce that at 34 years old I have (thanks to Donna!) FINALLY been able to paint something presentable! Lifelong goal accomplished! And I have spent (entirely too much time) every single day for the last week painting and painting some more- I can't get enough! And am having so much fun! So thank you Donna, I'm eternally grateful. You certainly changed my life and have given me a gift that has brought me much joy and relaxation. God bless you.

I was a member of the painting chapter(Coast to the Cascades) when I was younger,( I joined in 2003) and I'm 80 now so I can't go anymore, but we had a few certified one stroke painters in our chapter. I liked the ease of making each flower very much. I will be painting with Donna in each class.
Hey Donna I was a certified instructor years ago. I had a stroke in 2012 which has effected my ability to paint. But watching your video is inspiring me to challenge myself. Thank you for you inspiration

I accidentally stumbled upon this video and am soo happy I did. I love how easy Donna makes this for beginners with the kit. I also love that you have practice sheets! :) I'm hoping to surprise my 22yr. old daughter for her birthday in July. Such an inspiration!!!

I painted a great deal as a teen and wasn't too bad at it but, I only occasionally painted as I raised my children but never furthered my skills. Now that I am 65, mostly homebound and alone quite a bit, I'd love to start up again and I LOVE Donna's technics!

I have been following Donna Dewberry almost since day one. I love her easy style that even I have been able to do. I have been away from it for a while but want to get back into it. These painted items make wonderful gifts. So glad she's got a series I can follow on line. I'm on ss now and really can't afford the lessons I paid for in the past. This is a blessing! Thank you!
I love the fact that you paint on different surfaces. I sell my work in a small shop in a resort like area. People only have so much wall space but they love useful or unique items.

I also learned my first painting strokes from you, I would watch you on t.v. And practice over and over! Once I started to paint, I painted on everything...also bought plain white candles and painted your art on them! Have your original books, tapes..so on. Thanks Donna for all you taught me!

Okay, I am convinced. I have been so frustrated trying to use watercolor, acrylics and recently colored pencils. I am ready to throw in the towel and give up. I have watched many demos of the one stroke method but without instructions, the assumption being that all it.takes is to pick up a brush. Not. You have made things so much clearer and I am ready to give this painting thing another chance. I will buy the kit if not too expensive. I am a 79 year old beginner on a limited budget. I hope to have another past time to fill my days. Thanks so much.
