To be fair, Negate attack does more than just negate and attack. By the name you'd think it just stops an attack and that's all, when in reality it also ends the battle phase and stops all future attacks for the turn.

I just realized this...Rex and Weevil still think they can beat Yugi because they're some of the only ones in the series who still think this is a normal trading card game that's determined by luck and pre-game strategy instead of magic and plot armor. Even when they join the cult, they're only doing it for the vast array of cards that they'll acquire, not the mystical power of the Seal of Orichalcos. They just think Yugi and his friends got lucky with all their heart of the cards bullshit and they want a rematch because they think they have a good chance of winning based on the events of their matches before the final hour plot convenience. It actually makes complete sense when you think about it.
Its just too bad their comic relief characters at this point.

-Steal souls
-Create flashbacks from memories
-Summon monsters and make them real
-Control Rats and other creatures
-Increase the strength of individual cards
-Function as a morality scale to determine evilness or whatever
-Destroy objects around it
-Apparently always has the ability to be in the first hand of any given card game
-Allow you to cheat at card games, apparently
-Trap people and objects

The first duel with Rafael, there wasn't even anything at stake until Atem activated the Seal of Orichalcos. Atem couldn't stand the thought of losing and risked his soul for a chance at victory.

For some reason I actually like the idea of dueling on motorcycles. I think it's just because I love the idea of the absurdity of a cardgame being that impactful to the world.

Loved how the seal at one point negated magic and trap cards but they end up using magic/trap cards in the same episode before anything was done to the seal. They also kept calling the tidal wave a "hurricane."
Rafel's story is really freaking dark- I remember seeing the Japanese version for the first time right in the episode where he digs up a freaking skull - man Japanese version really didn't hold back any punches O.O
Because Japanese respect Anime as an art form and don't treat it like pure cartoon trash for kids.

Except it didn't mattered since it's not mentioned in the following arcs and the way it's done is extremely forced. Plus it was actually hardly explored, leaving it completely half-assed.

It bugs me, but I always assumed that the artist just thought that if it was a thin layer of hair you would be able to see what's below it.

Its not that they don't know how to use layers, the eyebrow thing is DELIBERATE. I know because I'm an artist and I do that on PURPOSE. It is an artistic choice. It is not wrong simply because you don't like it, a lot of people do like it, including myself.
i really like this filler because i was tired of Yami being a good guy who will never betray his friends. seeing him finally snap made him more real and human-like

Card of Demise lets you draw UNTIL you have 5 cards so depending on how many cards your holding would change how many cards you draw

Except he didn't even do that really.
Let's think about it. The Pharaoh duelled Raphael because they'd kidnapped the Professor and used him to lure the Pharaoh into a duel, but released him long before the Pharaoh even showed up, and they even told him as much. So there was no hostage at stake for the outcome of the duel. He cites that he cannot afford to lose his soul until he recovers his memories, but this makes no sense as at that stage in the duel, *there was literally no consequence for losing.* The Professor was released before the duel had even started, and the Seal hadn't been activated yet and so no one's soul would have been lost. The Pharaoh would still have been in a position to recover his memories regardless of whether he won or lost at that stage. He could have ended his turn without using the Seal, Raphael would have attacked for game, and life would go on.
My biggest gripe with Season 4 is this moment. The Pharaoh was not duelling to save the Professor, he wasn't duelling to keep his soul...there was no reason he couldn't have just accepted defeat then and there.

Why I dislike it is because they didn't used the "I am the King of Duels. I *don't want to lose!"* theme.
The abridged version did it, but in a comedy way. If the real version had just do it correctly and put a value on the Pharaoh understanding that winning isn't everything.

That's a hair away from being a good character moment for Atem considering that the whole thing about him is that he's unbeatable. He's willing to try and cause Kaiba to commit suicide at Duelist Kingdom rather than just take a loss. But, like you said, he just uses the card for no real reason.

Card of Demise's anime effect states that you draw until you have 5 cards in your hand, but 4kids just decided to confuse us a bit.
Also its funny how in the english dub Kaiba is told by the voice of Dark Magician Girl to free Critias, and rudely said "Anything to shut you up", but in the japanese version, nobody tells him and he does it all on his own. Thanks 4kids for making Kaiba an unnecessary asshole in a scene where it wasn't needed.

I actually love this arc. The stakes are high, Dartz is neat and his henchmen (specially Rafael) got interesting background, the outcome of the duels are often surprising (unlike in the other seasons) and seeing Yugi and Kaiba teaming up was fun.
I prefer the redhead, he's powerful and more than a little handsome

I have the highest IQ. When you use it, you send it to the graveyard, and then you draw a card from the top of your deck and add it to your hand. Furthermore, you draw a second card from the top of your deck and add that to your hand as well.

Great stuff. At the end though, I find it funny and unbelievable that people think you're to harsh or reaching for negatives. If I did these kinds of videos they'd go on for ages cause frankly I think, if anything, you're not critical enough. Two points you missed that I felt needed being brought up: 1) Dartz tried to take over Kaiba's company..... why? Wait, Dartz owns a corporation..... why??? 2) (And this was a BIG missed opportunity, I think) In one of the flashbacks, when they show Timaeus's eye getting slashed, 4kids did NOT edit out either the attack itself, OR the following spurt of blood! wtf, 4kids?!
in my original script i mentioned how kaiba is the owner of the company and has final say if he sells it or not but removed it incase it was wrong due to legal buisness mumbo jumbo
True, though upon my more recent re-watching of Season 4, a point that kept bothering me from the beginning was "Why did Dartz try to take over Kaiba's company?". Like... seriously, what would he have to gain from it? It's never mentioned, and there are only a few very brief instances where it's brought up again, just for Kaiba to say that he's mad at Dartz for trying to take his company. I mean, was the whole point of that just to pull Kaiba into the plot?
i guess to get kaiba baited into fighting him so he can steal his soul other than that i got nothing
i believe that was the plan. It was why Kaiba went back to Duelist Kingdom. As Doma was using pegasus's company as a front to buy out Kaiba Corp. Basically Dartz wanted to bait Seto with a repeat of Season 1.

This season was my first Yugioh experience and I really liked it alot and it got me to love Yugioh. Especially when they summoned the seal of orichalcos it got me scared for the characters going up against it because that card seemed unbeatable. When Yami turned bad because activating the seal was awesome!!

I don't actually think that the cards in the show are made out of paper. The way they use it and the fact that they work with complex holographic devices suggests that they're probably out of some sort of paper-metal hybrid.
That would make sense considering how effective they are as projectiles as well.
And also the fact V in ZeXal appearntly created RUM Argent Chaos Force with "science" and stuff. So they probably have some sort of chip or something effectively making them data chips inside cardboard.

And who could forget my favorite dumb moment from season 4, as pointed out by Little Kuriboh:
The duel between Yugi and Raphael is painfully forced because there were no stakes before activating the seal. Meaning the Pharaoh just used the seal and gambled his soul away for shits and giggles.
U could make the argument that Yugi needed to get Rebecca's grandfather from Raphael, but seeing as the seal steals the losers soul, its not like a lifeless doll could provide said information.
