    Please do Autumn Strong from Kiev. Ikanaide and Autumn Strong are the exact melody but one in Japanese and one in Mandarin and I believe different lyrics, both incredible. Autumn Strong while in a live concert is still very intimate because he sits on a stool and just sings until standing at the end. Honestly, Dimash could make the phone book being performed flow beautifully.

    This song and performance is a whole experience - to fully appreciate the beauty of it, you need to watch this video without the long pauses in between. With all Dimash performances, the emotion he builds in a song is tantamount, especially so with this one. Thank you for your Dimash reactions!

    I can't see that anyone has explained the circumstances of this performance. As you can see it was 2021, pandemic time and some parts of the world were still locked down. Dimash had to go through a month's quarantine after entering China to appear in Shine Super Brothers so he couldn't leave the country without going through another month of quarantine so this performance was filmed in his studio in Beijing and livestremed to Japan for the Tokyo Jazz Festival.
    About 2 weeks prior to this he had also done an interview for a tv show about the original performer of this song Koji Tamaki so we had a suspicion that this would be the song he'd perform.
    The composer of the song Goro Matsuii said that he had heard this covered by numerous foreign artists but no one had sung it as beautifully as Dimash.
    Dimash only ever does what the song requires, he doesn't want people to focus on his range, he says that's just one of his tools so he has many beautiful songs where he doesn't go outside of a 2 octave range. He'll focus purely on the dynamics and the emotions that the song needs.

Started small years ago with talented friends and family and has grown exponentially. Now in the corporate community, he's considered a force to be reckoned with and to hear my Dad, he's known it all along. Ha!
      We grew up in Kazakhstan and my sister and several friends went to uni with him. For years he's called him rock n roll boy to tease us having seen him on state tv, I guess we were all 15, 16 singing with a guitarist and drummer. Kidding, everyone there knows who he is and his family"a abundant talent. They are as well known for their years of charity work as they are for their talent but extremely quiet about it and the public loves to "catch them in the act", film them secretly and post it.

    It's a pleasure to see you enjoying the music and artistry of Dimash.😊 Words can be difficult to find when you're on the spot as reactors are, having little to no idea what you are in for makes it challenging in many cases.
    You're doing a nice job of it , thanks!
    I'd like to suggest you see the MV of Be With Me. He sings in English but does a man's man segment in rap in his Kazakh language. This MV is a joyride! Also, Battle of Memories, the movie theme to a Jackie Chan production in black and white...very interesting. However, many Dears like very much a live performance in China in which he is wearing a bright pink suit, yes, that's right, with a black hat. 😂 Sorry, I can't help laughing a little but it's a really great performance.

    Bonsoir. Dans une de ses interview, Dimash a expliqué que le principal dans une chanson qu'il choisit, ce n'est pas dans quelle langue, mais ce qu'il veut transmettre. Il lui faut comprendre chacune des paroles pour qu'il la mémorise afin de 'interpréter et lui rendre toute sa consistance. Il n'a pas besoin de parler la langue, juste comprendre ce qu'il chante pour mieux la transmettre. Mais il parle couramment le kazakh et le russe, puis de mieux en mieux l'anglais et le mandarin. J'aimerais pouvoir en dire autant! Amicalement de France

    The "energy" that Dimash is using, is completely appropriate for the song. I know what the song is about, but you should not have to know what the song means, to know that only metal music calls for bombastic loudness all the time. If you are truly interested in expanding your horizons in music, you are going to have to start adjusting your attitude towards music in general.

    👉 Dimash sang Ikanaide (live and for the first time in Japanese) on the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021(in his studio). Because of the pandemic, the annual Tokyo Jazz Festival took place online again. Filmmakers verify that the videos have not been edited and manipulated, so the singer sings live.
    In 2020 Dimash also participated in the famous annual Tokyo Online Festival with 2 songs:
    * S.O.S. - czcams.com/video/WdKYDoqKLP8/video.html
    * Samaltau - czcams.com/video/cEyLyKW-gWY/video.html
    The original song Ikanaide was composed in 1989 by Koji Tamaki (*1958) singer and songwriter, the lyrics come from one of his lyricists Goro Matsui.
    In the same year, the song was used as the theme song for a Chinese-Japanese television series Farewell, Lixianglan, about the Japanese woman Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920 - † 2014) a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling.
    Koji Tamaki sent a wonderful message to Dimash, thanking him, and praising him for singing his song in Japanese.
    Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to Koji Tamaki. He wrote many wonderful melodies - you should check it out:
    Koji Tamaki 2021, Ikanaide - czcams.com/video/OpgnM2MccCQ/video.html
    Dimash's Japan Fan Club asked the famous Japanese author of lyrics of 'Ikanaide' Goro Matsui about his emotions at Dimash performance. It's one of his favorite songs:
    "… I heard Dimash singing "Ikanaide" by accident. The first thing that impressed me was his crystal clear tone and expressive voice. I heard other Asian artists perform the song many times, but despite their magnificent vocal skills, none seemed to capture the true meaning of the original lyrics. In the chorus of the song, the line "Ah, Ikanaide" is repeated several times. And although these are the same words, each line has a different meaning. And it seems to me that Dimash felt it. "
    In 1993, Jacky Cheung (*1961, singer and actor in Hongkong) adapted the song into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn: czcams.com/video/dtM2EsgHD3M/video.html
    The Chinese (Autuumn Strong) and Japanese (Ikanaide/ Please, Don’t Go) versions have completely different lyrics and meanings… and of course Dimash sings both very differently:
    - The Chinese version shows the image of leaves dancing in the autumn wind as a metaphor for the passage of time, a farewell and change...sad but inevitable and irrevocable
    - The Japanese version does not want to accept the loss of a loved one, is full of pain, begs, suffers... heartbreaking.
    I'm totally mesmerized by how sensitively Dimash differentiates and conveys to the listener the feelings of sadness and loneliness in the Chinese version and loss and pain in the Japanese version. Even his whispers and his breath are music... it breaks my heart and the tears flow... and at the end everyone suddenly holds their breath, we hear Dimash breathing, then a deep and comforting hum.
    I've never heard anything like that from other singers in my entire life. Only Dimash can do that. This is true mastery.
    * The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin: Autuumn Strong - czcams.com/video/Kmi2cVijdMo/video.html

    This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!".
