absolutely overwhelmed right now - to be a part of this launch has been a dream come true. thank you so much for trusting my vision, and to everyone for watching
Incredible video!
Fantastic filming & editing @samnewton! Has that same cinematic quality as ‘Living in the age of Airplanes’ by Brian J. Terwilliger! 👍🎥💻
Incredible work man. You've put in the work to be where you are, and I'm sure this is just the beginning
Stunning!!
Congratulations brother! Amazing storytelling. Very inspiring.
I have to say that this is the best Canon launch video I have seen. This includes the Cinema line cameras.
its good but the r3 video by Keith Ladzysnky has to be on top and Brent video on himba tribe for the eos r launch
@@The_Idea_of_Dream_Vision how about we agree that they are all great? 😊
@@BryanBenoitPhoto they are impressive. Rewatchin
@@BryanBenoitPhotoI second that!
When he said "Boy is it easy to feel" LOVE IT
This film just gave me goosebumps! The visuals, sound design, direction everything is just pure cinema.
AMAZING job to Sam and the team and this project! Thank you Canon for trusting in us. The R5 helped us transform our careers and it was absolutely incredible to be a part of the new chapter with the R5 Mark II 🙌🙏
Sam made one of the best launch films I‘ve ever seen from Canon! Those images look more like they were shot with a high end cinema camera…it‘s crazy what he and his team were able to get out of the R5 Mkii. And the whole story and concept tie it together beautifully. Actually made me interested in the camera :)
This is by far the best clip to make me understand the new camera. Beyond the art of the producer, the absolutely stunning pictures with incredible colour, sensitivity, dynamic range. Now I understand what the mark II is all about.
It is the first real Hybrid Camera, Canon has finally done it. Can’t wait to make it my A Camera.
Amazing, well done, Canon! And, finally, a proper launch video!
Bravo.
It's absolutely gorgeous.
Great job, Sam and the team.
Congrats one more time.
what an absolutely beautiful piece, Sam and the team killed it!
Wow it's awesome, I love canon ❤❤❤
My cousin's brother said to me to change Canon to Nikon or Sony products but I didn't, but I waited.
I love Canon❤
I trust Canon❤
Still I'm using only canon products, camera, printers and many. ❤❤❤
The best launch film from canon
absolutely well done nice timing and transition.
Sam killed it!!! awesome short film!
Fantastic filming & editing @SamNewton! Has that same cinematic quality as ‘Living in the age of Airplanes’ by Brian J. Terwilliger! 👍🎥💻 Can’t wait to try this new R5 Mark ii @canonusa!
This. Was. Brilliant.
Hey Sam. This films looks incredible. Huge congrats to you and your team. This is by far the best looking Canon launch film I have ever seen.
Seems like quite a DR improvement over the R5 - shadows look very clean.
i need a mini movie like this
OHhhhh the ending tho!! tears
Sooo good!! Amazing job Sam
WOW, Outstanding video!!!
Great job man. This is amazing
WAAAAAAYYYY better than the C400 video. Great job!!!
Well @canonusa, you gathered an awesome team on this one. You have set the bar super high.
@bradleywentzel was definitely the right choice to include in the group. Would love to see more of his work featured by @canonusa!!!!
Amazing, i love it !! Good job 🎥
AMAZING
Such good work @SamNewton!
AHHHH CHILLS! Shout out @samnewton !!
Awesome!
Ooo very good 🎉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Could Sam give us any idea of run-time before overheating on a batteries without the grip so we could get an idea of what we are looking at before purchase? I'm sure CZcams will deep dive on this shortly anyway...Nevermind Tony Northrop provides a chart which I'm guessing was provided by Canon czcams.com/video/41QR3sQ49OQ/video.htmlsi=M6K7722VXYd25gRm&t=690
good on ya Sam 💯
which lenses were used for this video?
nice film!
Very nice cinematic video👍🏼 I know the feeling. The only thing wich does not fit the story is the helmet of the pilot.
LOVE THIS. What lenses did you use on the new camera?
We've got a BTS video at canon.us/4d8tBQX which shows the RF35mm F1.4 L VCM lens being used. You can learn more about it at canon.us/3XajrKQ
Hope this helps!
First of all, great work!
Secondly I have been using and love the R5 since it launched and have pre ordered the R5markII so there is nothing more to my question than curiosity.
I am wondeering why is there so much banding in the first 7 seconds of the clip?
I have looked at this clip in 8K down to 2K on both my laptop and my 4k monitor but it is always there.
Well done. Get yourself some period headgear, goggles for this type of subject.
Great video, the question is how much noise reduction was used in post. :D
Woww! Who is the music composer? He must go to hollywood!!!🤩
Cinema Lenses, RF or EF or a mix smile😊
Where's anamorphic desqueeze guys?
There is no possibility to record 8K 50 in any other format than RAW light, correct? Would be impractical for me because of the file size.
So I'm a bit afraid that my old R6 MK 1 has better resolution in a manageable fileformat in 50fps than this new R5 Mk 2 😐
Hi Michael,
The full specifications and frame rates are listed here - canon.us/R5MIISpecs. Our camera support team is happy to discuss any other questions at 1-800-652-2666 Monday- Saturday; excluding holidays. Outside the USA, visit our Global website at Canon.us/globalsupport.
The big question of oversampled 4k60 is stated differently across the documents.
I‘m really hoping for this feature, cause I shoot everything like this and expect a step up from my R6 Mk 1
🎉❤
Great shots but ruined by the vibration that wasn't in context. There's vibration on a static shot with him lying in bed... Also, we all saw Top Gun, the white shirt was a bad choice here.
But VERY impressed by the camera.
Show your work ! Too easy to make such critics 😒
If you’re gonna film in 8K, at least stick it up here in 4K. So much quality lost
