During this pandemic sometimes i have trouble sleeping. I set your videos to autoplay. You and Mr. Brown comfort me. Your kind and loving voices lull me to sleep. Sometimes i wake up hours later, and you are still cooking and chatting. Forgive me that i never clicked “like” while i slept. Thank you so much. Such a beautiful thing.
I’ve done the exact same thing and I’m sure I’ve watched their videos multiple times and I try to go back into my history and then click on the like after the fact because I’m sure it helps her channel.
I do the same! The comforting nature of these videos sends me off to a good kind of dreamland!
My first wedding band, 65 years ago, was $9.95 at a jewelry store in Memphis. We eloped. I’m still wearing it. My sweetheart went to be with Jesus a few months ago. I love this channel. You and Mr. Brown are precious.
Dear Miss Lori,
I’ve been baking bread, rolls, etc. for over fifty five years and have never seen anyone “pinch” rolls like you do. I can’t wait to make these rolls tomorrow and start “pinching”! I love watching and listening to you in all your videos! Thank you so much for letting us join you in your beautiful, cozy kitchen. I’m excited to see your gardens in the coming months……..unfortunately, here it is April 1st in Maine and we’re expecting a big snowstorm in two days. It’s not unusual, but we were all hoping for an early spring!🪻🌷🪻🌷
God bless you and Mr. Brown…….you’re both AWESOME!!
Love, Jackie🪷
Thank you Jackie
My grandmother and zi both worked in the school cafeteria
We would pinch? Anywhere from 500 to 700 rolls in a day
Oh Mrs. Lori don't you spend no time worrying. We all love you and Mr. Brown. Thank you for allowing God to use you.
I envy your lifestyle and wish I’d made different choices when I was younger. You (and Mr. Brown) are my kind of folks, and I live vicariously through your videos. Take care. 💕
It’s never too late to change things up and create a new life 🙏❤️🙏
@maggie60 I totally get that feeling! I often wish this or that would have been different when I see folks like Ms Lori and Mr Brown as well. I am so glad for them! Whenever I have that wistful or nostalgic type feeling, I take that as my living sacrifice to Yahweh for that day, do you know what I mean? "Jesus thank you for the choices I have made and the place I find myself this day. Here. Have my heart with all these good and bad choices that I have now to live with-- I am giving it to You." He can be trusted with it. ( I am mostly talking to myself I guess because I really got what you were saying. I will blog this so I don't forget.) It says in Isaiah 61 that Jesus was anointed by the Lord to bind up broken hearts and to give a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness, right ✅?
I'm just preaching to myself here. Thank you for bringing it up, friend! Grin.
It's never too late to be what you might have been. :-) ❤️🙂
@@jenniferboyd2200 Jennifer you're speaking to my heart as well & I'm later 60 s.
God bless your precious soul, 💜🙏🥰
I was always heard.....dont trust a skinny cook....and....a messy cook...is a good cook!!!!
😉👍 have a blessed week 🙏🙏🙏🍂🧡🍁
You sure know how to pinch off some rolls! Love it!
I was thinking the same thing, could really watch her do that all day…pretty sure when I try it…it will look nothing like that.🤣
making these today to go with our Christmas Dinner!!!!
Christ is Born! Glorify Him!!!!
you are such a sweet person. makes me feel like I am in the room with you and you are talking to only me.
My Mom was from Krebs,Ok and her birth name was Lois Southard......
@@Eunicepmb HOW UNUSUAL TO HEAR THAT THERE WAS SOMEONE WITH THE SAME NAME. WISH I KNEW MORE. pATRICIA IF YOU READ THIS TELL ME MORE. I LIVE IN TEXAS.
@@Eunicepmb HOW STRANGE TO HEAR THAT THERE IS OR WAS ANOTHER LOIS SOUTHARD.THOUGHT THAT I WAS UNIQUE WITH THAT NAME. SHE MIGHT BE RELATED TO MY DESEASED HUSBAND. HE HAD RELATIVES IN MISSOURI AS WELL AS TEXAS. ILIVE IN TEXAS NOW. LET ME KNOW MORE.
Lois Southard blessedly true...she is a piece of simple goodness in an increasingly troubled world...
@@loissouthard5619 My grandfather Charlie Southard moved his wife Esther and 2yr old daughter (Lois Mae) here to Chandler,Arizona in 1928 to farm. He later became a deputy sheriff and was elected to be the Constable of southern Maricopa co. They had a still born daughter and then when Mother was 8 they gave her a sister who is still living.
What a great idea, a kitchen scarf. What a great friend you have.
You and Mr Brown are the bomb! I always feel comfort when I’m watching your channel especially during these uncertain times! Thank You Lori!!!
I can just imagine the warm yeasty smells of your kitchen! Thank you for your kindness...it's like visiting with an old friend. God Bless ❤️
The scarf kinda replaces a lot of the old uses of aprons. Neat.
Patricia ive been trying to get some of these towels. Can you help me find them?
Jennie Maqueen
I love your personality - so relaxed, down to earth, always w/ a intelligent conversation. Loving the talks about your grandparents & your growing up on the farm; the chores your did - all the info & benefits re working the land for growing amazing veggies naturally. Your home is a dream come true - filled w/ antiques & lots of love. I’ve made your grandma’s rolls but always watch your vids at least 2 - 3456 times 😄 thank you!!
I love the pix with your grandchildren... they are all beautiful. You look so happy with that big bundle of love you share. My grandmother is still the most important person in my life, I am 75 now, and I still miss her.
Love your videos Lori. I ordered a couple of the towel scarves from Jenni and got them today. So cute and they will be well used. I have to say I love listening to your voice as much as watching your videos. You have such a comforting and kind way about you. I can see how generous you are with your viewers too. Thank you so much for letting us into your home and kitchen. I am patiently waiting for your cookbook. God Bless you and your family. Marji
❤❤❤ YOU DEARLY MS LORI.
I taught Elementary School for 36 years and we could always smell the lunchroom rolls baking all over the school! I miss that comforting aroma.... I love watching your videos ❣️
Sharon Cooper
You never smell that anymore. We could smell them 1/4 mile from the school. Lunches now are atrocious.
Lori i live in tulsa okla & lots people up around here have been hoarse off & on for about a month! And heard 40+ school districts in colorado last wk closed because of norovirus til after t-day,& couple school districts arpund here! Sure would love to live by you!!
@@shanatinnin339 Atrocious is to say the least. Garbage is what they feed my grandson. They order it in from some facility.

Microwaved TV dinners are better and there’s no smells. Library smells better :))
Sharon, my mother taught elementary for over thirty years also, and now I'm in the middle of my very first year of teaching middle school. I hope my career will last as long! :)
Thank you for filming the majority of the mixer process! I like being able to see the process so I know what to look for and when to add a little more flour, etc. This definitely gives me the courage to try this on my own, can't wait! Also, the scarf towels are GENIUS and so cute!
I thought the same thing. My Mama & Grandmama we’re good southern cooks, but the literal only bread they made was cornbread.
Being able to peek over her shoulder to see each stand is invaluable. It’s giving me courage, too!
those scarfs are great. some people have the best ideas.
WOW THOSE SCARF KITCHEN TOWELS ARE FANTASTIC.....Will have to make myself some of those💡💡💡👏👌🇿🇦
Like you I tent to leave my hand TOWELS all over the kitchen when I'm busy 😋
Memories of walking into elementary school and smelling the hot rolls! And our lunch lady lived on my block and I would ride my bike back and forth in front of her house just to smell those rolls! I will definitely be making these before the week is up! I enjoy your videos.
aww can you imagine her asking you why you kept riding back in forth in front of her house...
Our lunch ladies made homemade hamburger and hot dog buns. Those were the days.
Those are precious memories...
The kitchen / cooks were one of few good things to say about the public school I went to as a child...🤔
The food was good & the workers in the kitchen were very " kind."
We also had a great principal, ohhhh how things have changed. 🙃
I love the towel scarf! I enjoy watching you cook anything! Especially your tales of old days with history and sweet memories!!!!
These rolls are wonderful ! I enjoy your country cooking, I must say, Mr. Brown is a very lucky man.
I love the picture of your grandchildren they are so cute
What a cool idea she came up with for the kitchen towels. I’m always throwing one over my shoulder and it falls off!
LOL Me too!
Me too!
I'm always leaving my towel opposite of where I need it!
Exactly, I love the idea
Same here! Lol
Love your videos. I am now 64 and I still remember my lunch lady in the little country school I grew up in. Her name was Ms. Courtney. She was awesome!!!
Thank you Lori. This video came up on my feed. I guess I had started watching years ago and never finished. This recipe sounds really good too. Lord bless y’all.❤️✝️🙏
That is a great idea you have your dish towels with you at all times and they are so pretty
I have totally lost interest in cooking. Watching your videos has inspired me. Baby’s steps : )

I've looked and looked I cant find where I can get those neck towels. Can someone tell me where and how much they are. THANKS in Advance.
God bless you, Mrs Lori! You are sooo sweet. And just as cute as a bug's ear! ☺ I love this kind of roll! We call them yeasty dinner rolls. The aroma as they're baking is heaven on earth! I've never made them but my grandma did and they were scrumptious! I remember when I was little and Mom and I took the train to St. Louis from Cincinnati to see them and when we got to grandma's and grandpa's there was always her yummy fried pork chops, apple sauce and yeasty rolls waiting for us. I could almost smell it as grandpa's old jalopy turned the corner 3 houses down from theirs on our way from the train station! Thanks for the memories Mrs. Lori! God bless you and Mr. Brown!
awe, love that story! xoxoxoxoxox
and those were the blessed days..when woman cooked in school kitchens..God Blessings.
Oh My Goodness!!! How I Love Hot Rolls with a Plop of Butter and Honey!!!

Brilliant dough pull technique to form the rolls. Thank you for all time and effort both you and Mr. Brown take to help us all in the kitchen.
I love that scarf/dishtowel! What a fabulous idea!
I used to work in a school cafeteria. That is where I learned to pinch my rolls. Yours are beautiful.

Ms Lori i absolutely love watching your videos, and your way of living, i too love to bake and have recently retired and decided to do a little tiny business out of my kitchen, a Cottage Food Operation, and i make the cinnamon rolls with maple icing from one of your recipes that you made for a coworker at your school. They are an absolute hit with my customers. Thank you SO much for putting out your great videos and sharing your life with the world, you and Mr. Brown are a true inspiration. I also need to give God the praise for my success in my little tiny business, as i have asked him to bless it, and he has. God is GREAT! He wants us all to be happy and to bless others as much as possible, you and Mr. Brown are a big blessing ❤
What a nice neighbor for getting you the Neckline Hand Towels. They are really neat. Making the rolls this evening for a fish fry

LOL! Send him over! I still don’t have any ice, but hopefully the new refrigerator will come tomorrow, although we haven’t heard anything yet.

My hot rolls takes a good while to make because you have to let them rise 2 hours all together and you have to add a lot more stuff this one looks so much easier and faster I will be trying this.. Thanks for sharing and God Bless...
Awesome recipe as always Ms. Lori. I will be making these rolls very soon for my family. My Mo-Mo used to tell me that a messy cook is a good cook. I am a messy cook to. But I love to cook.. I am looking forward to your upcoming videos. God Bless You and Mr. Brown. Much love to you both. Hugggggs
Those look just like my great aunt's yeast rolls. She made the rolls but froze them on a cookie sheet and then put them in a freezer bag. Yum!
I get up with the chickens. Until recently, I would turn on the news. Now, I turn on your videos. I love to hear your voice in the background as I get my day started.
Oh my, if I cooked all your recipes I would weigh 350 lbs but I love everyone of them! I've heard it takes a lot of work to produce videos but I could watch yours everyday, thanks! Blessings ~Sidney
P.S. cute idea for the hand towels but I wear aprons
I watched this video today. It inspired me so much I went to the kitchen and started my wet ingredients, getting the butter just to melt. I go in the pantry to grab the flour and I only had about 1 cup of all purpose. OH NO!! How did that happen...I imagine too much banana bread lately. Out of desperation, I did a mix of wheat flour, cake flour and all purpose. Those rolls still came out great! Thanks for the recipe. It's a keeper.
Wow, your the rebel now! Lol, I'm so glad they turned out! Xoxoxo
Apple 🍎 Crisp was my favorite school dessert memory at lunchtime...mmm mmm mmm 😋
I lobe your stickers on the mixer. I love stickers. Also love the dish towels. I would like 6 haha.
I love all your bread & roll recipes! They remind me of baking with my grandma! She passed when I was 13 so I didn’t get a chance to get all her recipes written down! Thank you & God Bless!
Reminds me of Mom's hot rolls. LOVE those neck towels. I can never find where I lay mine down or our two dogs grab them off the stove door when I am not looking.
Right wish she had put info in box
You are so precious. It is a true joy to learn from you. This is the next recipe I will make. Blessing to you and Mr. Brown.

A dear friend , Pentecostal pastor, from the hollers of s. Missouri, made similar rolls, and pinched them off the same way. Our family lovingly calls them Granny Rolls, in honor of our dear Granny Cates...the absolute yummiest rolls ( next to your, of course😉)
Your food always looks so good. I always get hungry when I watch them. Thank you for doing these.
They have to be very good. I use a similar recipe. I use the dough cycle on my bread machine for the kneading and rising. Easier on my shoulders. I made two dozen recently for our church meal. Thumbs up on yours.

I bet they were yummy Grandma Sue! I wish I still had my bread machine sometimes, xoxoxo
Marilyn McClintock Hi. So you just put the ingredients in the bread machine ?
How does a person pinch the dough? She moves so fast. Could you tell me how you do it?
@@lunacadence6050 after the dough cycle ends, dump out your dough. I use a lightly floured jelly roll sheet pan. Press out in a rectangle, cut into 12 equal pieces. Take the edges and poke or punch to the center, poke and punch, then, lightly roll into a ball. Place in a well buttered 9 x 13 baking pan or dish.. let rise in a warm place, covered. Then bake.

Miss Lori I am so making these tomorrow . I have been looking for a simple roll recipe for nights when I want fresh rolls with my supper . Have you ever tried freezing the rolls ? I do need that dishtowel I am forever loosing my dish towels .
marcy chain I have a yeast roll recipe that is awesome, and it is great to freeze.
marcy chain I use a similar dinner roll recipe and I’ve frozen them baked, and I’ve frozen them after I pinched them into rolls. The rolls do great either way. I like freezing the pinched dough, you get the fresh bread smell and hot rolls in no time. I just take out however many I need and let them thaw and raise in a warms spot with Saran Wrap that I’ve sprayed with cooking spray, so the plastic doesn’t stick. Then bake them when they’re raised. It takes about an hour or so to thaw and raise them, so if you need rolls later in a hurry, bake them first then freeze them. 😉
Yes, I would let them go through the first rise, pinch them out, flash freeze, put in bag, take out put in warm place, let thaw rise, bake 400. Xoxoxo
