- Dizi Does Downhill Productions present a video identifying an issue with dropper post on Dex’s Polygon Siskiu D24X.
In the video we:
- replace the TranzX lever with a PNW Loam Lever
- Replace the old dropper cable and housing with new ones
- Identify another issue with the dropper related to tension of the actuator
Thanks for watching!

Just got a D7 for my wife. Having same issue, this helped! Thanks.
Hi Joseph. It was definitely an annoyance! I am glad the video helped. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Sorry you had this issue, I'm not having an issue like this at all but I stumbled on it and I just wanted to say " Good job Dad!". I bring my little guy on rides with me on a shotgun seat and I can't wait for him to be able to ride a bike like this .
Hey Jason, its a real blast to ride with your kids! And it won’t be long until mine are above my skill level. I’ll go down fighting but i think the inevitable will happen in the next couple of years! Have fun with you little guy!
We have the D24X and had the very same issue and had to raise the dropper up like you did as well.
Hey Ken. Sorry to hear that. I’m guessing the small frame size impacts the cable routing a bit forcing some tighter turns. Seems unless the cables are totally kink free there will be some issues. Thanks for checking out the video.
I had the exact same dropper issue on my boys new D24X. Your resolution solved our issue, thanks! Otherwise this is great bike exceeding our expectations! Keep up the great videos
It’s a great bike Adam! Glad you got the dropper sorted! And thanks for checking out the video.
I never knew a dropper post was a thing!! Great piece of kit though, can see the benefits. Looks like you got a duff dropper post, the return spring doesn't seem strong enough. Great deductive work though, nailed the problem in the end. Good job!
They are very cool bits of kit. Very useful! You remember how useful they are when you go to send a drop and forget to put the dropper post down…!
I had the same problem on my kid’s D24X as well and has to pull the dropper up an inch for the lever to return
It’s a bit of an annoyance though it doesn’t last long at kids grow so quickly! Unless the wire is totally kink free, it seems you’ll get a sticky lever. I guess its largely due to the size of the frame creating tighter turns for the dropper wire. Thanks for checking out the video and enjoy riding with your kiddo! It’s a blast!
I had the same issue, it's the cable getting kinked at the based of the dropper post and the exit of the tube.
I’m guessing the small nature of the frame results in a pretty extreme curvature of the cable at that point. It’s definitely annoying but once you get it sorted, its a great feature on a excellent bike.
And thanks for checking out the video and taking the time to comment!
@@dizidoesdownhill Yes, I think in general, my dropper might be a bit too long for my needs. It would work better if I got 150mm Dropper, but mine came with the 170mm.
what editing software do you use? amazing editing! amazing camera too!
Hey Grey - thanks for the very kind words! We’re slowly improving - there’s a lot to learn. We are using Final Cut Pro and using a Nikon Z6 and an iPhone 11. Am hoping to get better with the camera work.
@@dizidoesdownhill , I use iMovie and I work well with it. Does Final Cut Pro cost money? I want to use it. If it does not, will editing at the best level cost any
