By the way, your tp3 map is incorrect. I made the same error at the begining. You don’t have to change just the numbers between -3 to +4. You also have to change the 2000 5000 8000 10000 r/min digit an th%, tp3 digits are different than what the app give you by default. Correctly set up, i find it too agressive. Maybe good for sand track. i am a vet rider too. My favorite map is standard in good condition and i also ride slippy on second map. What about you? And let me know what you think of tp3 when corrected.
Glad you made this video. I'm 45 and wanted to buy a 250 and then I found out all the costs to change the forks and spring and exhaust and........for my height/weight. I probably just buy a 450
I had a ‘13 yz450 and I rode mostly in the woods. I felt like the front end was too light always popping up when I’d hit a rock or bump or big hill climb. I want a 2020 but I’m nervous it’s going to feel the same
@@SuperMutteri yes you are right. But i am not sure if it's better than the stock mode. That's the one i am riding now. It may depend on the type of track we are riding and our skills level. I am a vet rider.
Michael Montana what are you currently riding ? This is the first Yamaha mx bike I’ve owned. So far I really like it. The suspension is really nice. Yesterday the track got rough toward the end of the day and it ate up all the breaking bumps and other chop. Coming from the WP air fork the difference is very noticeable. The power delivery has a nice hit down low but pulls all the the way through the gear. I found 2 and 3rd much more usable. The one thing I’ve noticed is I have to pay a little more attention to my body position entering into a corner or getting in a corner rut. The ktm felt like it was easier to turn in and the Yamaha makes me feel like I’m top heavy. The Yamaha is about 20lbs heavier than my ktm. I haven’t noticed the weight difference on the track, only when I lift it up onto the stand.
Keep in mind. I’m a 33yr old. 200lb. Novice rider. If you are a A rider you should probably throw my opinions out the window. Haha. Also go listen to Keefer testing inc podcasts and read his reviews on his site. He does an excellent job reviewing the bike.
Oh i see is it a good bike for tall guys I’m 6’4 and i ride a kx450f 2014 and is the battery reliable i see my friends having sometimes trouble to turn it on when they don’t ride it in a while
Michael Montana if you’re coming from a 14 kx450f I think you will very pleased with the bike. I think the kx has that SFF TAC air fork. I had that fork on a 17 kx and it was worse than the WP. 3 different air chambers to check before riding. I don’t plan on ever owning a air fork again. The battery has never been a issue for my bikes. I have a battery tender wired up. I haven’t plugged it in on this bike yet. But through the winter it will stay plugged in. Also i always do a quick push of the start button before heading to the track, just to confirm it’s good.
@@27null99 ...I know the the button switches between maps, in the video he said the button didn't change anything so I wrote " why have a button" watch the video
I’d buy the kx450 again. The only complaint I have about the Yamaha is it feels big. The only complaint I have for the Kawasaki is the mapping options. The kx map couplers seem dated. I enjoyed messing around with the Yamaha tuner app. In the end, I can live without the mapping options and I feel more comfortable on the kawi.

Change filter. Oil in filter does no good for your bike. Its 4 stroke, not 2 so you don't need oil getting into your intake system. And don't use K&N filters on your bikes. Street or off road. K&N let's in waaaaayyyyy too many contaminants. @lilerik6616 #yamiBoyz #R6Riderz #EnduroLife
Thanks for the great advice. I have now removed the air filter all together. Would hate for any type of filter oil to enter the engine like you mentioned. Don’t even get me started on K&N bro. They totally ruined my great aunt Becky’s 91 dodge neon.
Finally someone made a good video without annoying music. Great review!
Love the honest review of your skill and knowledge, you definitely earned a new subscriber 👍
Alexander Martinez thanks. Novice rider reviews.
Like the quick huge whip text put in the at the table top 😂 good work man 👌
At 14 years old I've never been more in love with a bike. Like i NEED this now😢😂

Awesome video man. looking forward to the upcoming exhaust comparo.
Sweet man. I got mine almost 3 weeks ago. The weather turned to complete shit as soon as I got it. Dying to try it out
I can’t get over how much that front fender shakes around
Your cornering got better and better.
Hey man this is a great video and review. Thanks for making it!

Tp3 is too agressive. I like more the stock map, slippy and linear on my yz450f 2020
Tp2 is better and not to agressive

Beautiful bike mate I'd have to win the lottery to be able to afford one of these bikes 🙄
Thank Andrew, you how to download that app from outside USA ? I’m in Cambodia, they said can’t download in my country ;( so sad

I MAY HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD HIM BUT IF THE BUTTON DOESN'T CHANGE THE APP WHY HAVE A BUTTON?
the button switches between the two maps that are on the bike, the app is used to edit those 2 maps

Do you find the air filter gets clogged with dust in motos and starts back firing

How's it feel on the trails.
It’s a bear to get through the woods. Lots of clutch work. I mainly stick to tracks.
i cant stand how when your riding ur camera is pointing down the whole time
You're look too stiff on it man. Loosen up some. Sit down for corners only. And learn to downshift lmfao
With advice like that, someone’s been watching their Gary Semics DVD’s

You labor way too much in the corners buddy. Come in hot standing up, square off, elbows up clutch out.
