- Walker Fowler’s Pro GNCC Championship Winning Trail Tires the GBC Ground Buster III. Affecting acceleration, braking, cornering precision, stability, and ride quality, picking the right set of tires is the single most cost efficient and impactful performance upgrade you can make on your Sport ATV. No one knows that better than Pro GNCC Champion Walker Fowler, who relies on GBC tires to help him get maximum performance out of his Factory Yamaha YFZ450R.
Walker formerly ran GBC XC Master tires at both ends throughout the season, which we reviewed a few years back. He now runs GBC’s most recently released high-performance rear trail tire, the Ground Buster 3 at most events.
It stands to reason that the tires Walker Fowler relies on to repeatedly reach the top tier of the podium would also be a top choice for anyone looking for the ultimate trail tire for their sport quad.
To test the Pro GNCC champ’s tire setup for ourselves, we met up with cross country racer and test rider Jim Nemacheck and his very patriotic Honda TRX450R at Haspin Acres off-road park in Laurel Indiana, offering the wide variety of terrain needed for a proper evaluation.

Make more sport quad contentt!!
We have some more in the works.
Love my GBC’s gb3’s 🤘
Glad to hear it.
It’s great to see sport quad content. I’ve been out of the game for about 15 years and it’s hard to believe that tire companies are still copying the Holeshot after all of these years.
Excellent Review. Enjoyed just watching some good sport quad footage 📺🏁
Glad you enjoyed watching it. We have another small sport quad upgrade project in the works and would like to do a lot more of them if these manufacturers would just stop obsessing about $20,000 sales.
@@ATVonDemand I believe it’ll make a full circle. After a few years of owning a rzr, I ended up buying a bunch of Atvs again. Simple more fun on small terrain or short rides.
Love our GBC’s 👍🏻
Good to hear. Love hearing feedback.
i love GBC xc masters on my 86 trx250r . i placed 3rd in points for the season in the LACC . im a little on the light side lol . so if these have even better cornering traction they would be better for lighter riders . im going to give them a try next season to see
I like the looks of those. They remind me of a good ol' set of warn knobbies from the 80's. I gotta 85/6 ATC350x, and I really wanna find a nice broken in smaller set for the back. I'm still running stock size ITP's, and they're too grippy.
Nice looking rubbers!!
It's good to have rubbers you can trust.
Awesome content.
Thanks. Really glad you liked it.
Can you look at some ATVMX tires? Nevertheless, any sport quad content is greatly appreciated!
Healthy looking tires....
Sweet R....
👍👍👍
We are quite sure that Jim would appreciate your kind words for his R. He is definitely a fan of the ground Buster's.
Love my GBCs, can’t beat them for the price and longevity. I feel as if I can get 10-12 race seasons with my current setup and stamina
PERFECT PHYSICAL SPECIMEN 👌
Just mounted a set on my kfx450r last week! Haven't ridden yet though lol
We hope you come back with a report once you get a chance to try them out.
I love that patriotic TRX! Semper Fi!
Hell yeah.
If you had to get tires for a Raptor 700r and a yfz450r what would you get on each quad XC Masters on the YFZ and ground buster 3 on the raptor or the other way around??
You forgot to mention some old dude from Illinois runs them on his raptor.
We apologize.😀
Mr team 2 gils, Did you like them better than the XC masters?
@@goldenboygq9 at my skill level there has not been a major difference. Tad bit better cornering and no real loss of traction in mud. I like them for sure. If i was a faster rider, I think I would see more a difference. Can't go wrong with groundbusters or xc masters really. Both are awesome.
@@Team2Gils thank you for the reply, will you say the xc masters are taller?
@@goldenboygq9 not positive on that but I believe the tread is a little bit taller. I did not compare them.
Awesome
Glad you like.
They look good. Idk what the cost is but in my opinion the best bang for your buck is the cst-ambush. I've been running 20×11×9s on my 440ex and they eat up everything. Mud, snow, and hardback. No flats so far and $125 for 2 shipped right to the door.
Sweet.
What do you guys think about the Honda trx400ex. I’m picking one up on Wednesday. I’m upgrading from a warrior so this should be pretty good I’m excited. I do mostly trail riding, open fire roads and the occasional dunes throughout the year. Thanks for all this great content.
Throw a trx 450 carb on it with an exhaust and filter and let her sing.
Mint content you beautiful bastards!
nice vid...can I run 20x11-9 tire coming from 20x10-9??? Thanks;]
Yes. Shouldn't be a problem.
@@ATVonDemand thank you very much
haspins a good spot to test traction, that places trails are always all fucked up!
Why would you run a 2 ply tire in the woods with those heavy-ass tire balls when you could run a 4 or 6 ply and be done with it? I stopped watching when I heard that lol. I know you all understand rotational mass lol, and I never ran beadlocks for the same reason. I’m guessing the race guys run them because they knock the Hell outta one another haha, I’ll never know, they’re crazier than I am.
The West Coast is different, everything has to have the right “look” -in the mountains we just ride it home, buy another wheel lol. You guys know how to spend money to make your equipment look good, I’ll give you that.
I enjoyed seeing and hearing these bikes, wonderful editing and entertaining television as always-thank you and keep it coming 👍🏻😊
I feel like GBC’s wear down too quick
Compared to what? Just curious
I agree. I bought the XC masters with reviews saying they'll last 2-3 seasons, but a little less than a season in and they are showing noticeable wear.
What happened to the classic videos???
Come on, we are dying for:
Quadracer 250
Quadsport 230
Quadracer 500
Yamaha blaster
Yamaha Banshee
Yamaha warrior
Kawasaki Mojave
Kawasaki Tecate 3
Kawasaki Tecate 4
Fourtrax 250x/300ex
Atc 250sx
The mighty the ultimate, the absolute greatest ATV ever...
The Honda Fourtrax 250r.
Come on brothers we have been waiting for years......
Make it happen.
We have a quadsport 230 to work on for the spring. It's hard to do these because we have to purchase the machines.
@@ATVonDemand it's been like 5 years🤣. If I was closer I would let you use mine.
Do some actual sport quad builds, not just accessory's.
We plan on it.
@@ATVonDemand It would be cool to see you try and buy a used sport quad, then restore it on a budget then try and go racing, kind of what RM ATVMC did with there 5MOH series.
