SUCCESSFUL Winter Tactics UK Still Water Trout Flyfishing

In this video we headed to Dare Valley Trout Fishery to target out the variety of trout species they have to offer.
In the previous episode we had to deal with an iced over lake with the snow falling but today was the first chance to get on the lake after it thawed out.
We have also had numerous storms come in with high winds which also made it un fishable so in this video i had high expectations and boy didnt it deliver today.
We also helped with the stocking of rainbow trout all around the 5lb weight and some absolute MONSTER browns.

Your videos are always interesting and you present your own personal view on how you go about things, Dare is a good place to fish, as long as that wind dies down a bit and the rain is not going horizontally.

Great video. What type of indicator do you use. I've redently started using the Oros one, find them super to connect and cast.

I use the large pear shaped indicator nothing fancy i found them on Aliexpress far cheaper than anywhere else and in my opinion work perfectly 👍👍

Is that the vision cassette reel youre using as well and what do you think of it?

Hi mate yes its the XLV reel very smooth and quiet good drag too. And they definitely look very nice paired up with the stillmaniac rods. Its a little fiddly to start to swap cassettes but you seen get used to it and its easy then
