Every time you give us a thumbs up a Narwhal gets its horn! (maybe..) - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Make sure you set a reminder for the Premiere of the first ever episode of Ben's Vlog!!
czcams.com/video/Fefyf58ifq0/video.html
*Has been a memeber since the Re.J. Vlog.
Can you do more Hogwarts founders Sims 4?
I got 8/10 and 1 bonus question.
Classic Ben! Love it
Do y'all think that Harry was able to shrug off the imperius curse due to the fact that he had a part of Voldmort's soul in his head
Listen, I am just saying the first magical creature that Lupin introduced students to was a werewolf…they just didn’t know…
*mind blown*
…no…..
@@katie398person means cause Lupin is a werewolf
The second was a dementor but only with Harry Ron and Hermione
@Candy Heart
I assume you mean the train but that wasn’t in the class.
The quizzes are honestly my favorite videos on all of youtube.
Are you jake from mrbeasts older videos?
Did not expect a comment from you lol
The Viking watches SCB!?!
Same, i think i have watched all of them twice 😅
I do like their theories too. The quizzes are always fun though!
Just that look of sadness on Ben's face when he realized he had been studying the wrong material. Breaks my heart
Hagrid: gets in trouble because wild animal bites student
Moody: Literately uses imperious curse on students and is fine
Don't forget transfigured a student into a ferret and messed with him. And then stuck said student down another's pants 🤣
@@melindoranightsilver9298 Yeah but said student was Draco, so, if anything, Crouch was given a muffin basket.
It's been awhile since I've reread the books did buckbeak bite Malfoy in the books cuz he just sorta kicked him with a front foot so he kind of punched him in the movie
@@brandi3981 Buckbeak slashed Draco's arm with his talons in the book.
Reason Moody didn't get in more trouble was Lucius didn't pursue it as hard as he did against hagrid. Almost like he didn't want to have Moody fired
Ben: “bees are so cool… protect our pollinators!” Lol that was freaking adorable and I agree
Bees are an invasive species that kill all other pollinators in their area. Only reason the Americas have honey bees is because they British brought them over for their tea
We can still defend Bees, by killing the honey bees and helping the bees native to America
Then of course the other pollinators
@@shane7778 bumblebees are native! Protect your local pollinators; bats, birds, bugs 🌾
Bees, hummingbirds, bats, butterflies, beetles, wasps, lacewings, flies & moths. I'd love for my garden to be visited by nothing but butterflies & hummingbirds. Alas
Ben: I hope this isn't frustrating
Also Ben: *groans in frustration*
Moody’s catchphrase was definitely unforgettable. I still yell it at people before I throw things at them. CONSTANT VIGILANCE
I thought is was pretty funny how neither Ben nor J could spell it correctly.
This is wonderful 😂
Fun fact: In the movie, the book that Umbridge gives the students is actually called Dark Arts Defence Basics for Beginners, so for question 6, according to the movie, Ben was actually right
Well they don’t consider the movies canon, so not really
@@nkirukaj2384 that’s why they said “according to the movie”
@@jpgrennan they may have commented before the post was edited
@@archer5922 Nah, I edited the post right after I posted it because I forgot to actually add the part of "Basics for Beginners"
Probably the reason it was an option
Love the meta-ness of this - "how's parenthood treating you Ben"........ "I'm surprisingly well rested"........ excellent stuff. Hope all the new family are good Ben :)
This guy J just ran a whole ad while Ben was tryna think. Idk why that tickled me so much.😂😅
“Smell ya later!” Absolutely got me 💀😂
These quizes are so short these days. I remember them being like 30 questions.
it's hard to create content when you beat said content to death.
They prerecorded a lot of these a few weeks ago because Ben’s baby was born, so some of the videos coming up are bound to be a bit shorter
INFAMOUS QUESTION 17!!!!
They’re not gonna get better that’s for sure
It is irritating as a viewer to watch a 22min vid with 10mins of ads.
18:35 I was wondering how Tom Riddle cursed the position of the DADA teacher. It's not the normal kind of magic in Harry Potter. Imagine you could just put curses on everything as you wish. Could be a theory video idea on this channel to clarify.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS!! I have always wanted to understand it more too!
Why wasn't anyone including Dumbledore able to lift the curse?
That last quizmaster question was wrong. That's the professor that was retiring in Slughorn's memory. He didn't curse the job until when Voldemort met with Dumbledore years later.
Yes and they never specify the subject Merrythought teaches, right?
For some reason, I thought Merrythought taught potions....since Slughorn mentioned wanting his office when he accepted Dumbledore's offer to teach potions in HBP.....but that doesn't mean he wasn't teaching another class later on.
Why does that make the question wrong? Merrythought was presumably still teaching DADA until the "curse". Prior to the curse, they didn't change DADA teachers every year.
@@PhilBagels , but if Merrythought was *retiring* back when Slughorn was teaching Riddle (years before Riddle even came back for the job), they more than likely had a different teacher by then.
Professor Merrythought retired in 1945/46 which is the year voldemort first asked headmaster Dippet to get the job. He didn't curse the job until much later when he came back a second time to ask dumbledore so yes the question is wrong, I don't think we know who taught DADA between those dates
I don't agree about Lupin's boggart being as dangerous as Hagrid's class because Lupin always had the option to change the boggart to his boggart by walking in between the boggart and the student. Plus he had his wand in his hand and I don't remember Hagrid holding his umbrella during that class so Lupin could use magic faster than Hagrid could. If someone's boggart is a hippogryf, it's much easier to stop an attack than if a real hippogryf attacks.
Plus a boggart never really does anything but scare people
Hagrid didn't have his umbrella out cause if he used magic with it he'd go to Azkaban cause he's not allowed to use magic
I would argue that yes you’re right but Hagrids umbrella was only granted through Dumbledore and not the ministry. He was expelled and his wand was broken. If Hagrid used magic in the class we are talking about, Malfoy would be there to tell on his father. Then involving the ministry and Hagrid would get canned. It’s wise to leave your umbrella wand at home in that case.
@@pankkakez-cupkakkez i think when they found out it was riddle they cleared him for the first time it got oppened and then he was able to teach and use magic again.
@@Lord_morningstar193 oh yeah true thatd make sense
Kenneth Branagh also acted and directed what many people consider to be the definitive Hamlet in the 90s - that's what I know him from.
my 10th grade English class watched that version after we finished reading the play. I remember really enjoying it.
He is also great in Wild Wild West.....even tho most people don't like the movie.
Me too! Although I think I first saw him in Frankenstein or Henry V, Hamlet was the first time I really appreciated him as an actor.
@@benwillis5840 He might be a good actor but he is no Poirot to me.
God, now all I can hear is moody saying "CONSTANT FERRETS!!"🤣🤣🤣
I liked when Mad-Eye Moody said his catchphrase "It's moodin' time!" and then moodied all over those guys
😅😅😅😅 that's a real 😂
I always thought that when Neville says that DADA is just the dark arts now, I just assumed that it was still called DADA, but they just learned the Dark Arts
One of my most favorite Harry Potter jokes is, Hagar is talking to Headmaster McGonagall and tells her that the new group of muggle-born need to be supervised better when they get their wand. McGonagall asks why he would say such a horrible thing. He replies that every muggle-born is scaring everyone when they get their wand. Cuz they immediately try to cast "Avada Kedavra". But luckily it comes out "abracadabra".
I like this
I have literally always wondered if Avada Kedavra is meant to sound like Abracadabra or if it's just a coincidence
Like whyyyy is the most used muggle spell word abracadabra kinda related to the killing curse, it's always felt like there's something there or more to it but it never eventuated 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Abracadabra and Avada Kedavra are opposite spells. Abracadabra means'I will create as I speak' and Avada Kedavra means 'Let the thing be destroyed'
If you guys haven't already, you guys need to watch Road to El Dorado; you'll never guess who one of the main guys is voiced by ;)
WAIT WHAT?!
Oh, yes! One of my favorite non-Disney or Pixar movies. And the behind the scenes with Kenneth Branaugh and Kevin Kline is phenomenal
When Ben wrote "Electo" I got a lovely image of a superhero who fights voter fraud XD
J's impression of Umbridges "hmm" was perfect. Love stumbling on your videos. Always an enjoyable watch or listen
Dumbledore doing the same lesson as Lupin is the same problem with the younglings doing the same thing Obi Wan did with Luke to train him in the force. They took an improvised thing and ruined it to make a quick reference that otherwise served no purpose.
Sir Kenneth Branagh is an amazing Shakespearean actor and director, he was the saving grace of "Chamber of Secrets" and the character of Lockhart
Saving grace? Wouldn’t say it was needing of a fix
I am so happy that RALPH came to this quiz. SO. HAPPY.
I love that a bee came to visit the scenic route, like hey I know you can't hide the honey so I'll just come say hi.
What is Mad Eye Moody's catchphrase?
Me: Allons-y?
BEN!!! That bee was wondering where you hid the honey!!!!
Don’t mind me, just mesmerized by Ben flipping his Apple Pencil…
Ben's pen twirling at the end there was absolutely spectacular
Although I would have guessed it was professor merrythought as well. Afaik Voldemort didn't curse the position until he came back and applied for the dada job when dumbledore was headmaster, which was up to a decade later. And as far as we know professor merrythought retired while tom was at school? So surely it wouldn't actually me prof merrythought??? I must be missing something
Don’t worry Ben I can feel your win coming soon, super excited that y’all’s blogs are up and running now
Hi I just want to say Im a huge fan of all y’all do I’m a avid listener of the pop and have recently started watching yalls vlogs and can’t wait for Bens to start. I especially like your J vs Ben series. 😀
First
Ben's premiers Friday!!
Yeah I’m exited😄😄
So did you see it yet?
Yes sorry I didn’t see this I’ve been busy
This is exactly what I needed right now. I just love you guys so much!
Ok, kind of off topic, but when Ethan says ‘the man, the myth, the legend’ 3:11
Did anyone else think ‘Scott Sterling!!!’?
i would've guessed "Professor Merrythought" as the answer to Q11, not sure if that would've counted for a point.
i'm not sure if her first name is mentioned in the books, but i do remember her surname popping up in Slughorn's memory where Riddle asks Slughorn "is it true that Professor Merrythought is retiring" and Slughorn praises him for having accurate rumor sources.
I always hear it in the movie voice. The slightly warped, teen Voldy voice
While discussing the memory, Dumbledore revealed her full name.
The bee was just checking to see where Ben hid the honey this week 😂😂😂
ty ben for that wonderful rendition of the jingle
Kenneth Branagh is LOCKHART?? I just watched Tenet and he was TERRIFYING there
Ben's intro was convincing; I was like "Wait a minute, 'Hey Brother' doesn't come after the intro!"
I love that I gave y'all Ralph to joke about! Lol
I have a thought that may develop into a potential theory idea. I was watching Soul (and crying) at the point at the end when Joe is inside 22 in her ‘lost soul’ state, and he puts the maple seed in her hand which causes her breakthrough. I then remembered the bit in A Bug’s Life that Dot and Flick have with the rock, pretending they were seeds that would one day develop and grow into a ‘tree’ metaphorically speaking. Maybe not earth shattering or maybe just a common metaphor for personal growth, but I wanted to share it and see, especially since it’s a maple tree seed involved in Soul that seems to be somehow connected to when 22 found her spark.
Technically the first dark magical creature Lupin introduces to the class is himself since he’s a werewolf but of course they don’t know that yet
God I sometimes forget how good J Vs Bens are
First dark creature lupin introduced to the class was a werewolf.
“So it’s 10-8, and Ben can’t tie” - I was originally like “what?”
I know the Ben glasses are mostly an ongoing bit, but they suit him and I like them lol
Loving the energy in the intro there feels a different vibe in this video (in a good way)
love you guys, been watching forever
Haha, the bee just wanted to help you hide the honey!
Also, Addison's nursery is adorable :)
I love the wood pile, the concrete, the kitchen... Thank you Ben for the house tour!!
These quizzes just bring me so much happiness! ♥️ love you both! So glad the J vlog is back and Ben started one!! I love seeing them! And Addison is the cutest! I am so happy for you and Alyce, Ben!! Love your Girl dad hat!
And Ben getting distracted and so happy by the bee crawling over the lens was the cutest thing ive ever seen! And saying protect our pollinators 🥺♥️ yes, just yes!!!
Hey, can y'all do trivia quizzes more often? I find them very fun to watch and play along myself
I love playing along with you guys. Then I relize how much I do not remember alot of the material of the books or movies. On this quiz I recieved 10 out of 13. Thanks for all the laughs and memories of how much I love this franchice.
I had heard that Hugh Grant was slated to be Lockhart and now when watching the movie all I can see in my mind is how Grant would’ve played the character!
Always love a good old J vs Ben
I'm so excited for Ben's vlogs that I almost screamed when I saw the video scheduled in my subscriptions today. I really enjoyed the Pop with the wives last week and I always love Beth's segments in J's vlogs so I'm excited to get to know Alice a bit more. I'm also glad J's vlog is back of course.
Yay!!!
“Egyptian Prince” and “a prince in Egypt”… anagrams!!
That girl dad hat and "Protect our pollinators" were so cute! 😊
I love these trivia quizzes
The energy in this video is particularly nice. They are so on it and up.
Moody be like: goes crazy
Barry crouch: also goes crazy
Winky:ahhhhhh crouch is me best
Harry potter / fantastic beasts trivia, I love them so much!❤
Loved seeing my question being used!!! Love all of the videos!!
These quizzes are awesome. Also massive thank you for sending me a postcard all the way to Australia
Ben looks surprisingly rested for somebody who just had a baby! 😅 Was this pre-filmed before the baby came?
Yes! It was pre filmed they filmed it the same day as the quiz they forgot Ralph from wandavision 😂
That bee on the lense cracked me up 😂 love the paternity leave scenic route
cOnStAnT vIgIlEnCe! Is my second favourite quote from Harry Potter books and movies after “Nice 1 James”
Thanks for another J vs Ben!!!
Same, I watched Murder on the Orientle Express and had no idea that it was Lockheart
I was watching one of you early videos, and Ben was excited about 50 subscribers. If he and Jay only knew that it was just the beginning.
Merrythought didn't teach DADA when Riddle cursed the position. Merrythought teached DADA when Riddle was at Hogwarts and she was going to retire which is why he wanted the position at the age of 17. When he came back (>10 years after)he curses the position. I doubt she would still be teaching the subject 10 years after
You know I always took that bit to mean that Voldemort didn't actively curse the position, but he did so "by accident"
I'd compare it to the love protection that Harry's mother cast over him that saved Harry, I didn't take that to mean she did it actively, but she *did* do it nonetheless
You guys literally make my day better every time you post! ♥️
2:12 this something ive said about John Glover since he played Lucifer in the TV show Brimstone, he wasn't actually playing the role it was just the devil and every role Glover has been in was actually just the Devil playing Glover playing whatever character.
Yay new j vs Ben my favorite other then the best podcast on the internet popcorn culture
Who else automatically skips forward 3 minutes every time they see "BRB"?
I want a compilation of all he times you guys have answered the exact same questions and what different answers you've come up with haha
J and Ben: Can muggles use magical travel methods ? Can muggles fly a broom? (seems like in sorcerers stone they need magic to get it started?) Can muggles use the floo network? Can muggles travel via side along apparition or port key? Thoughts? Cheers!
I love these quizzes. Did I miss when you guys took the timer away?? Educational decree was the perfect time to use it lol
Ben's pen flipping at the end here is mesmerizing
Woot! So excited. Great Thursday
Technically the first dark magical creature that Lupin introduces his class to is a werewolf when you think about it.
I also didn't recognize Kenneth Branagh in murder on the Orient express! 😂 I was so confused when the credits revealed it
I try to play along with these J vs Ben videos, and when Ben couldn’t think of Educational Decrees, I felt that. Cuz I was right there with him! So frustrating! haha
I knew the dean Thomas one right away simply from the other quizzes y'all have done 🤣
This is the earliest I've been on a video 🤣
Jonathan's spects look awesome !
I'm new to the channel. You all are great thank you for what you are doing
The best films I've seen with Kenneth Branagh were Road to El Dorado and Much Ado About Nothing.
I haven't watched the video yet but i hope you guys stay constantly vigilant for this quiz
Aw, the girl dad hat is adorable-- congrats!
The most frustrating thing is that many of these questions have come up before in other quiz videos. J even had the same thought for the question about the student under the imperious curse
I love kenneth branagh. The first time I saw him was in 'much ado about nothing". I was in high school. Brilliant actor.
These socks are amazing!
I understand where Ben is coming from with Lockhart. I was like that with Lupin, but in reverse. When I saw him in HP, I remembered him as the bratty prince in Dragonheart.
Ben: "That was a good plug."
No.That was the best plug I've ever heard.
Noooooo, not a floork 😂
