why does your Ruan Mei only have 130% BE? shouldnt you aim 180% at the minimum to activate her ult bonus?

So as you said, my Ruan Mei has 130% BE but that's outside battle. In battle She actually has around 230%, how? It's Simple. Ruan Mei gets 3 BE perma buffs while in battle with this team. 20% BE from her own traces, 30% BE from HMC traces and a non-fixed buff that depends on HMC BE coming from the 4th eidolon (in my case its around 50% BE buff). So with all this She gets around 230% BE during the whole fight.
About the 180% BE, have in mind, that amount is the limit for the damage% increase (which doesn't affect Break Damage) coming from her traces and not related with the delay ulti bonus. The delay on the ulti bonus doesn't have a limit as far as I know and its usually recommended around 200% BE on her for +50% delay, the more delay you get on enemies the more superbreaks you can apply on them. But as you can see its easy to get +200% when you pair her with HMC and that's why its better to give her cogs LC and stick memories of the past LC on HMC. When playing just Ruan Mei you should give her memories of the past.

What was that HMC build tho? You got 4 different relic sets there and two of them don’t even activate

I didn't focus on relic set bonus as a priority for HMC. I don't have that many good break effect + speed relics, and only one (Ruan Mei or HMC) needs to use the full watchmaker set. So what I did was giving full set to Ruan Mei (substats are much less important for her) and give the relics with most speed and break to HMC. Unfortunately I didn't have enough spare break+speed relics to give him 2 pc break set + 2 pc break or speed set, so that's why you see relics without a set on him. I do have some pieces to level up that could complete a 2pc + 2pc, I just didn't bother with it for now 😅
