It's like I'll Be Your Mirror done in the style of Sunday Morning. Fantastic!
Beck never bores and this is a helluva remake.
Damn! How am I just discovering this!
very nice cover...i'm still lost why anyone feels the need to compare anything that doesn't matter. all musicians used to do each other's songs and no one cared, especially the people being entertained...a cover actually is a compliment to the original and the cover should be enjoyed in it's own right.
yes. me too
Agreed. Just be glad we have both. If somebody doesn't like a cover, just listen to the original. Personally I really love this cover, perhaps even more than the original
The only reason is the fact I would give at least one kidney to see Beck and Nico collaborate.
Beautiful version, the vocal harmonies are awesome !!!
I'll be your mirror
Reflect what you are, in case you don't know
I'll be the wind, the rain and the sunset
The light on your door to show that you're home
When you think the night has seen your mind
That inside you're twisted and unkind
Let me stand to show that you are blind
Please put down your hands
'Cause I see you
I find it hard to believe you don't know
The beauty that you are
But if you don't let me be your eyes
A hand in your darkness, so you won't be afraid
When you think the night has seen your mind
That inside you're twisted and unkind
Let me stand to show that you are blind
Please put down your hands
'Cause I see you
I'll be your mirror
One of my favourite artists singing one of my favourite songs... can't go wrong there!
My favorite song's I'll be your mirror. Beck thanks. so beautiful cover take.
I love it. It's not exactly like the original but so what? It is lovely and haunting and still touches me.
Just gorgeous.

Really cool..liked and subbed !

💎
Absolutely beautiful. People who don't like this are dead inside :P
I'm hearing echoes of "Guantanamera"! Yo soy un hombre sincero ....
I like this song but I liked how it was played in that movie Georgia
@beckmangroup
Totally agree!
I fuckin love this!
@Tweedy how can u say they didnt do the song justice? i know the original..i couldnt imagine a better cover!?
i actually like this...
lovely female voice !!
back up singer has coolest voice
Like this? Check out Susanna Hoff’s version
Nico is Nico but this is well done. Fan of both.
Кто с обзора Twin Mirror от SG?
perfect cover. captured the feeling. who is the chick singing backup?
Phoebe's brother on guitar? Awesome.
Giovanni Ribisi is Beck's brother in law. He's married to Giovanni's twin sister, Marissa :)
I actually did know that, I was just joking around. :)
sounds like beck.
This must be a very difficult song to cover successfully, Beck's done a pretty good job I think...
Godrich is a genius
v. pleasant.
@kylethompson4 you missed the bus with this comment, mate. a cover is about taking a song and making it your own, not reproducing the exact same song with the exact same conditions. if something sucks, it must be your comment
@movieonyoureyelids sry mate my bad ^^ i agree with you ^^
@beckmangroup excessive reverb and delay...to much effect (what I mean by over produced...not the time it took to cut the song).
Thorunn Antonia
@kylethompson4 I would have to kindly disagree. Very sort of 60s ethereal sounding. I'm happy with it.
Anyone know the chords Beck is playing?
Giovanni Ribisi on Guitar??? Phoebe's brother?
3
Album?
The velvet underground and nico
@@aliefhidayahramadhan1380 I know it, but i ask about Beck's version
great.
but who's that girl?
@rbfspider of course I have listened to the original...too many times to count. I cut my teeth on The Velvet Underground! The song itself is very tender...I am talking about the PRODUCTION of the music...not the performance...though the performance isn't much better than the production sound. I've always found Beck an over-rate...this clip is a fine example of why.
How did Giovanni Ribissi wind up in the midst of Beck et Al.
They used to be brother in laws. Beck was married to his sister up until a few years ago.
Similar sound to the Primitives' cover.
I'm sure Nico would have liked to have slapped Serge Gainsbourg as well for not going for her version of the Strip Tease film theme instead of Juliette Gréco's
BOOOOO all you haters... Beck is the best thing this generation has to offer. Sorry kids, but he's a lot more consistently good than Lou Reed... don't get me wrong, he had his moments... this song being one of them
Gary Oldman's there.
I'm sorry for these old verdoones but they only make me fall in love more with Taylor Hickson's version that girl sings beautiful and she is much more beautiful 😍😍❤
@kylethompson4 Kyle, have you listened to the original??? There's nothing raw about that song.
both pretty good but i like velvet undergrounds better
Eh, it's OK as covers go, can't beat the original though. Some like to criticise Nico's vocals but I think they're perfect for the song.
You are 100% right, Nico's vocals for that song are perfect, the quavering of the voice has a certain sweet sadness to it. This version for me has no emotion. Just sounds pleasant but the song shouldn't be that way imo
+moduslive I get the feeling his leaving out the emotion on purpose. I like it
+Kevin McLaughlin Nobody gives a shit that you came here to say the artist being covered is better than the artist covering it. What a pathetic motivation.
Theodore Ambrose You need to chill Teddybear. I had no malicious intent behind my comment, it was merely an opinion. Maybe you spend your life making malicious comments to make yourself feel better, I don't.
I happen to like Beck a lot, I just don't think this song is as good as the original, covers rarely are. If you don't think comparing a cover to the original is relevant, then that's just like your opinion man. Oh and several people both directly and indirectly gave a shit.
+Kevin McLaughlin There's nothing more pathetic than people who go to cover songs just to bash the artist and hold up the original. Like I said, pathetic motivation.
I don't think I ever heard a song by Beck I didn't like. And he's really diverse. Listen to "Satan gave me a taco" .. czcams.com/video/I-XuMvxi-vc/video.html
I never heard "Satan gave me a taco" which is odd because I was listening to Beck back in the 90s but somehow never listen to that album. I must have played that song on repeat about 10-15 times! I also liked "Rowboat", but pretty much all Beck songs are solid!
Should have stripped everything and recorded on a cassette player.
@movieonyoureyelids wow you're truly missing the point of makin music man O_o
Scientologists!
lolwut?
please, go to sleep ...
could be Nico if she hadn't died about 20 years ago :( or she is another Nico? hahahha
mmmm..i prefer original
Oh God - they're like insane Scientologists.
this cover sucks! totally over produced! the VU was all about raw garage sound...Beck missed the bus on this one!
Useless!
crap. sometimes just leave a song alone - especially if you can't do it any justice.
