I don't understand how I can be the first comment here but just to let you know : you saved my PS4 slim !
I applied leaded solder on the leg with very low fusion point, so I could removed it very easily with hot air.
How can we know how that chip is fried ?
I noticed with my probes that only 1V2 was delivered though the Sata port, (the 3pin in the middle), did you use any other way to determine that the IC was dead ? (all caps and resistor were good so I took a shot at that chip, thanks to your video !

Hi check capacitors and the surrounding area for shorts also check your sata plug for damaged pins
