    Looks really sharp man and you did a great job installing everything. Amazing what a difference and I'll be looking forward to checking out the remaining parts that were on back order. Every video I see of this beast gets me closer to pulling the trigger on one. Thanks for the tutorial, that carbon fiber is off the charts and will keep your stock parts protected and looking like new. 👍🔥

    Carbon fiber is stronger than steel your bike stand won't hurt your skid plate, great video and I love your bike

    I have the Tekmo heat shield and ignition plate, the latter really compliments the bike.

    I have the smc and I really like the LC4 stamped engine covers. But I would absolutely do the belly pan and swing arm covers. Belly pan is just a great idea for keeping the engine clean on wet rides

      Yeah actually I agree with you. I did really love the engine covers also! I actually wasn’t sure if I wanted to cover them but it turned out better than I expected. The bike is gorgeous stock

    You can still use a stand with the belly pan no problem. I do on all my bikes. actually works better because it's more flat. sick bike! ordered some carbon last night for my 24 sxf

      Thanks for the advice! I kind of assumed you can, Tekmo just says not to. I can’t see it causing any harm though, they’re built tough lol

      Thank you! Got a few more pieces I’ll be buying. Kind of sad because now I really don’t want to drop this bike but I just have to remind myself I can replace things lol

      @@JonesBrosGarage Exactlyyyy. You want it to look good and be ridden too. Otherwise you could have bought a diecast 701 and add carbon stickers llolll

    I'm not going to go with that much carbon myself, But damn the blacked-out swing arm does a lot for the bike.

    U should get a DNA filter and a new exhaust plus a re-map. It really wakes the bike up ;)

      My thoughts exactly. Beautiful parts absolutely destroyed by manufacturer logos.
      Completely lost me.

    I just got my 701. Taking in for first service soon. Question about the swing arm covers….. do they hinder the installation of axle frame sliders?
    I am planning on the swing arm covers but I am also putting frame sliders on my front and rear tire for riding purposes but almost purely for the aesthetics.
    I’m not sure how familiar you are with any European riders but almost all my knowledge of bikes comes from European races and channels.
    I felt so stupid trying to by a skid plate for bike because when I was at the dealership I kept calling it a ‘bash guard’.
    Anyway. I watched Querly and Grenzgaenger.
    I live in Canada. Everyone thinks I’m an idiot when I try to talk bike here.
    I don’t even want the ones that are made for the 701. I want the ones that almost look like pegs.
    Very sexy bike by the way…. Going to be getting a few carbon fibre parts now because of you.
    It’s all your fault.

      I wouldn't call not knowing something stupid since we can't know everything, what I would call stupid is not learning from ones mistakes so don't put yourself down

    How much was the kit?

    • @JonesBrosGarage
      @JonesBrosGarage  Před rokem +1

      $700 for the kit and then $230 for the skid plate. 👍

      @@CYCLEFANATIX yeah it’s not bad at all for what you get and the quality. That price also includes the exhaust heat shield and sprocket cover that are on back order for a few more weeks also!

    Hell yeah 1k for useless parts. Good job. Ive never understood why people buy this for there 701's.

    • @JonesBrosGarage
      @JonesBrosGarage  Před rokem +13

      Because these parts are durable and cheaper/easier to replace than the parts they protect. You can remove these parts after a crash and the oem swingarm/forks/stator case etc will still look new and be undamaged. The fact they’re carbon doesn’t matter because they cost similar to steel parts anyway.. it’s just preference of look and they’re lighter. They save big money in the long run if you ever plan on selling the bike and don’t want everything scratched. It’s $13k for a useless bike.. not great for commuting, not great for passengers, not great for anything practical. You pay the money because it’s fun as hell and it’s what you enjoy.. the mods are the same
