Do you guys think people should still be missionaries? I listen to Vodi Baucham talk about them and he said many bad things about them and now I’m questioning things.
You might have misunderstood VB because VB cannot contradict the Word of God that clearly commands us to go and tell the Gospel to make disciples of those far and wide who have not heard. It isn’t a matter of human opinion.
How can they hear, Scriptures, say, if no one tells them? How beautiful are the feet of those who go! In fact, we are ALL missionaries wherever the Lord has placed us. Why? Because in the power of the Holy Spirit, we obey Christ’s Great Commission + boldly go, share the gospel with our lost neighbours, some of whom have genuinely not heard the true Gospel at all!
We all to some extent also prayerfully teach His teachings as He commanded (Scriptures) to one another which is another aspect of the given mission in the Great Commission: (1) go, (2) preach gospel, (3)baptise and (4) teach all Christ’s commandments for His glory.
