  • Villagio Broomfield was signing people up to move into the memory care facility right before it was sold, and everyone was told to get out.

This is disgusting and should not be legal. Nobody in America gives a damn about older people anymore.

Especially after they worked all their life and they contributed to the local economy and now treated like crap

I don't care what is considered legal. The behavior should be considered criminal when dealing with those with this particular need for care.

It doesn't sound like "public knowledge" if the employees weren't even aware. And seems to me, if they are stating "don't worry, this will always be memory care", then someone (owners) should be sued for not informing residents officially sooner. Fuck the 30-days notice. That's fucked up.

Medicade spendown is a horrific thing. Spend every bit of money you may have saved up until they will do anything.

So right, they should all have been notified the facility was up for sale. That could not necessarily be a problem if the new owners continued the facility as a memory care center. Everyone is disposable in the USA with this currently 2 generations now

Something has to be done. I pray for the residents and their families, and I pray it doesn't happen again to more families.

This should not be allowed! 30 days is not enough time. Greedy you-know-whats!

The residents should declare themselves as squatters. That way they can stay as long as they please. Disgraceful behavior on the part of the building owners.
