    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
The Jackal (Bruce Willis) gets a mission from his Russian client (David Hayman) to kill someone high up in American politics.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
In Moscow, after FBI deputy director Carter Preston (Sidney Poitier) and scarred Russian intelligence officer Valentina Koslova (Diane Venora) bring down a key figure in the Russian Mafia, they are threatened by the criminal's powerful brother who swears vengeance on the FBI and immediately hires a professional assassin, the Jackal (Bruce Willis) to kill a leading American political figure. A master of disguises, the Jackal believes in total perfectionism and demands $70 million for the job. The FBI suspects the Jackal is aiming for the FBI director, so they consult with former Basque terrorist Isabella (Mathilda May), in Virginia, and Isabella's former lover, IRA operative Declan Mulqueen (Richard Gere), serving a prison sentence. Promised leniency, Mulqueen agrees to help. Meanwhile, the Jackal prepares false passports, secures a customized computer system to run his Gatling gun, and heads toward his target in Washington, D.C.

Notice how, despite his seeming lack of words, the Jackal actually dominates the conversation. Mind you, he is talking to a Mob Boss.
The Boss himself comes in with big words, trying to appear the gracious and intelligent host, but the Jackal quickly shuts him down by speaking in the Boss' own native tongue. While the Boss then talks about revenge and eloquently describes the fate of the Russians responsible for his brother's death, the Jackal maintains his expression of patient neutrality.
When shown a picture of the target, a quick response was available. This again serves to add to the character's confidence and abilities.
After this, the Jackal starts laying down terms and conditions of his service. Not a please or a courteous word, only strict precise points. It doesn't matter to him that the man he is speaking to is a top Boss of the Russian Mafia. His expression doesn't flinch when the Boss laughs at the amount he states as the fee for this job, and the Boss eventually realizes his intimidating fake laugh won't work on this guy, so he agrees lamely.
