    As mentioned in another video. I live a few miles from Swanick. Id love to visit for a tour oneday James. Being disabled ex Army Maritime Veteran. I loved being at sea. Being virtually flat bound, and numerous upcoming surgeries. I'm struggling to function. Once done, my life still is at the disabled level. So laid up a lot, I enjoy watching Superyaght videos. Be a Busmans holiday for an old Mexedog to have a look around some beautiful vessels. I'm never going to be able to work agajn. So only chance to owning a beautiful superyaght, would be a Euro millions jackpot win. So appreciate your site might not allow me to have a look around. Unless I was a customer, or a walkthrough video person like yourself, Aquaholic, and many more. I leave that to you guys, cause You All make very entertaining videos. The knowledge you guys have is phenomenal. Keep posting, and I'll keep enjoying them sir.

      @@TheVirtualYachtBroker that is ever so kind of you sir. I have a broken back degenerative disease disability, Sciatica, OCD, PTSD, Aspergers, Anxiety, Stress. Which are my normal unbearable pain levels. But almost died in Nov 2018 from Gp locums medication mistake. 2019 I had a full medication review, which took til Oct to get use to, especially the morphine patch, which I take same level as a cancer patient, and still need more meds on top. I also had multiple issues occur in 2019, some our gone, but As I Type, I'm dealing with the above Normal unbearable pain issues, plus: First time thoirid issue, swelling gone but pain intense, My left side hip needs operation, my right knee also when hip done, three fillings that after an abscess and boil in jaw which still hurt - so now need one filling, two removed, but my bones stronger than my teeth, so need surgery also, with the intense ear, head, and tooth aches, plus a possible Gallstones issue that's just happened. All this pain all at once as I type. So where my body all over the place my weight and bmi is terrible. They can't operate til weight down. So being placed on tier 3 weight help from NHS, that might need gastric band surgery. Not helped with ESA phone calls trying to force me into work, when Everyone knows I'll never work again, esp after the first 17yrs of nhs neglect. Its been a 27yr ongoing nightmare James. So it I've got the biggest battles of my life coming up, not that its bern been nice prior lol. A minimum of a year to 18months, if I can make it before my ops start, or in between ill try, or after All done. My mottos which are proudly tattooed next to my Army Tattoos are: "Forward Forever - Backwards Never. Adapt And Overcome. Never Give Up Or In". I won't ever let it beat me James. I wanted to share that if it was ok to. So you know why I laid up so much. I miss the Sea so much, so Walkthrough videos are very therapeutic for me. Plus very enjoyable. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I would love a tour, and Thankyou for making one a potential reality.
      Many thanks

    Hello James, I currently live in Florida and want to buy one of these sunseeker 50 yachts. I was just wondering if you can travel around the world with this boat and does it support activities like fishing, wake boarding, etc. I am shocked by the pricing it doesnt seem to bee too much for a boat of this size. Would I be required to need a captain to operate this or can I drive it on my own with a boating license. Whats the maitnence cost on this particular boat. Please help me so I can take further action and proceed to purchase this marvelous vessel.. Thank you

    • @TheVirtualYachtBroker
      @TheVirtualYachtBroker  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi and thanks for your interest. Yes lots of our owners are into a little sport fishing and general watersports. Theoretically it's possible to wakeboard behind something of this size (indeed I've done it in my younger years!), but much easier behind the typical Williams 325 jet tender, that would be housed in the aft garage space. These modern jet tenders are capable of nearly 50 knots, so plenty of power for pulling a skier/wakeboarder. With regards to fishing, I'm currently installing some very smart removable rod holders for another client project on his new-build, just for a bit of occasional usage.
      All countries have different licensing laws with regards to driving boats, but the reality of something this size, is we can get you up to a competent standard within a couple of weeks. It's a great pastime, as all the family/friends can get involved. Learning roles from capt/helm to throwing lines and helping to anchor, is what the fun is all about. She is very much in the class of what we would call an 'owner-operator', definitely no need for a captain. (having someone to take care of the boat when you go home/back to work - general maintenance and upkeep is a different story, and most of our owners would use a management company to keep everything turk-key in between their visits.
      If you'd like to chat a little more, drop me an email James.lumley@sunseekersouthampton.com and I'd be happy to guide you further.

      Yachts like this take about 100k a year with maintenance, marina docking, insurance,, etc. Yachts are for people that have lots of cash flow. I wouldn't even consider buying a yacht like this unless I had half a million annual income.

      They're 230v tube storage heaters just to keep the ambient temperature above freezing (basically keeping the damp out).

    Hey James, you might mention to Sunseeker that their website is utterly useless. I was thinking I might find more information on this boat from the official Sunseeker site and alas, no, it seems to be nothing more than a dealer locator and even that does not work. Bad look for Sunseeker. If Sunseeker can't set up and manage a proper website then what else are they unable to manage?

    Wouldn't that glass partition have been much easier to build, and less expensive if it just moved up/down instead of that flap up/down business? What a yawner to wait for that thing to open/close. Somebody's overthinking it.

    • @TheVirtualYachtBroker
      @TheVirtualYachtBroker  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi, we use the up/down mech in some of our larger models, but on the P50, space is at such a premium to squeeze the full beam master cabin in below decks.
      The high/low design requires approx 10in depth front to back for the unit, so this takes valuable space below deck when dropped down (effectively the head board in master cabin would be another 10in further forward, which in turn would push the bed forwards and suddenly no floor space for walking around the bed.
      Every single little bit of space is 3d modelled to maximise volume.
      The ram does appear slow in the video, but in real life it takes around a min to open. It’s only something you generally do morning/evening, so in practice isn’t so bad.
