Thank you. It has Kooks long tube headers with catted Kooks Xpipe and a Vararam intake. BTR stg 2 cam with supporting valvetrain. Other than that it’s stock.
Nah man I never did find out exactly what it was. I did an oil change not long ago with Amsoil signature series 5w30 and for whatever reason the ticking noise isn’t as noticeable now, but still there. That ticking noise on cylinder one has been there since the day I bought the car and at that time had around 35k miles on it and was bone stock. When I had the cam installed I had the heads pulled to do a valve job and also had new lifters put in, noise was still there and much more noticeable. It was so bad I took it to another shop and they pulled the motor back out and tore it down. They sent the heads to another machine shop to be checked and I ended up putting in another set of lifters as well as different valve springs and valves. Got the car back and the noise was still there but nowhere near as loud as before. Since then I got new oem rockers with the BTR trunnion kit and also tried a different length pushrod…. Noise still there lol. So i’ve done pretty much everything I can and thrown all the parts at it that I am going to, so I’ll just have to live with it. The only thing I can think that it could be is one of the lifter bores on cylinder one is slightly out of spec causing excessive movement in one of the lifters. It’s annoying but my oil pressure is really good and the car runs great so I’m just going to live with it for now.
Yes there is. I’ve thought about taking it back and having it retuned because at low speed low rpm’s there’s a decent amount of bucking, especially in second gear
@@bwill03z76I’m considering getting the same cam for my 2010 C6 base. Do you think that the bucking you describe is due to the tune? I’ve heard that a lot of this can be “tuned out.”

sweet ride bro !!, u using your stock converter ? on this cam set up?
Thanks man! And it’s a manual trans
Where did you get the x pipe from? I’m looking at building my LS3 but Kooks only offers Longtubes system.
It’s from Kooks. I have Kooks long tubes with the matching Kooks X pipe
I want to go with BTR when I do my L83 Silverado. Sounds great just enough chop.
Nice chop, is this the stage 2 v2?
Thank you sir. It’s the V1
This sounds good! FBO? Or just cam? I also live in Va with a 07 Base. Planning on a sloppy mechanic stage 3 with full exhaust and CAI with tune.

Any other updates on the ticking noise you were hearing bro? 🧐

Did you swap just the cam itself or did you do lifters as well. Sounds good💪🏾
Thank you! Did new lifters as well because the heads were off
@@bwill03z76 awesome! I’m gonna cam my Camaro soon. Already got long tubes, CAI, injectors, coilovers, coils, & a tune.
@@LPATRON19 do it man it’s awesome. Nothing like a cammed LS/LT! Have you picked out a cam yet?
@@bwill03z76 I’m leaning on the BTR s3 NA. My car is kind of a daily lol
@@LPATRON19 the BTR stage 3 is really popular, sometimes I wish I had went with it. Shouldn’t be a problem to daily it with the stg 3
is there any bucking/surging at low speeds with light throttle?

You need a stall and you knew it.
@@mattmo8611 no it’s a manual, not an auto
