Back in 1984 when I first heard the Transformer scratch, everyone said it was called that because it resembled the sound from the Transformers cartoon when they would shape shift. Not sure if that's where it got its name, but that's what it always makes me think of, especially when it is used on the Fab Five Freddie/Beside "Change The Beat" "AHHHH" vocoder sound.

james gordon you should just get a unmark mix track pro 2 if your just starting or go with pioneer ddj sx2 one time cause it comes with four channels and has xor and quarter outputs

You can always find a used pair of technics or find some other brand (stanton, numarks). Craigslist, eBay, music stores or pawnshops are good places find used tables.

Yes, you can. Turn the crossfader curve all to way to your right.
