This video contains How to write Outstanding Personal Supporting information to get a job in NHS fast in 2022 with a live example.
When you are applying for a job in the NHS one of the most critical areas of the application is the supporting information section. This is the area where you basically demonstrate why you are the right person for the job and that you meet the criteria for the job. You have to sell yourself in the personal supporting information when in your NHS job application.
Hiring Managers/employers make this their main focus when shortlisting candidates for interviews so It's important that you've made your case.
The format to use for Supporting Information:
a.Introduction.
b. Qualification.
c. Experience.
d. Automation used.
e. Skills.
f. Conclusion.
So what are they looking out for?
1. Enthusiasm - show that you are confident in your abilities
2. Some awareness of what the job involves - try to show that you have read through the person specification and job description. You can do this by referring to skills, abilities, knowledge, and experience you have and would benefit you in the new job.
3. Some knowledge about the organization - do some research on how they operate and their values and try to refer to it in your application where relevant.
4. Details about how you can contribute to the organisation
5. Engage the employer - make them want to meet you. Tell some stories.
6. Keep it to the point - be mindful to not make your application form too long to read.
Remember to proofread everything and check the spellings before submission using Grammarly. Also, note that you have to keep tweaking and editing your supporting information with each application made. Whatever you do, resist the urge to plagiarise.

My tip is to also match what is in the person specification. If you don't meet one of the requirements, eg a qualification, say how you meet the equivalent via work / personal life. I was lucky enough to land a NHS post recently. In the person spec, a recognised management qualification was an essential requirement, I do not have one. I did however possess a basic teaching qualification (PTTLS.) I planned and delivered basic IT courses in the local community centre. Planning, people skills, behaviour management, assessing, reporting all equal management skills.
Many thanks for sharing your experience. I believe it would be useful to several person. Congratulations on your new role!
This video is such a blessing. Thanks for the enlightenment.I will come and testify soon. I am so grateful,it is so educative and simplified.

Thanks a lot Christie, you are doing a great work.but I'm bit confused, I'm about to prepare my CV, where exactly do one put the supporting Information in the CV?
Hi dear, I am glad I came accross your channel at the point I most needed it because I was already stuck on my application. Thanks to you I could find the detailed attached cheat sheet about the job..lol.
My question is there are some applications that asks to "give evidence of how one have gained each of the essential criteria and a situation where one has used them." Does this mean we should give a sample situation of how we used the essential criteria in our work place? I am quite stuck
Thanks
You're welcome, in such cases they require you to give examples from your experience

Hi Christie! I was wondering how you incorporate stories into your supporting statement? Thank you!
That quite easy just add one relevant story from your personal experience in each paragraph. You should have 4-5 in total
Well done Christie, please what is the name of the app that helps correct spelling.
Grammarly
Hi Christie,, thank you so much for the video. It's quite informative and came handy. Please i'll like to clarify, if I should address a particular person in the introduction as you stated in the video, what happens if the application is reviewed by some other person?
Address the contact person makes it more personal and it's most likely that person would be a part of those shortlisting for the interview. If you address nobody your application begins to look generic and that's exactly what you want to avoid
Hi Christie, Thank you again for this its really helpful

I have submitted many applications through Trac jobs and NHS sites, I only got one interview since December. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please I need your help.

Hi Christie,
I am a pathologist from India with full GMC registeration through PLAB route. I have been trying for jobs since last 8 months but till now not attained a position. My question is what are my chances to get a speciality role as a histopathologist with Frcpath part1 which I am attempting this September.
Hello Dr, you chances are good. However, I suggest you apply massively... 100 applications would be a great start depending on availability of course
I have been applying and I only had 2 invites. One denied me virtual interview and the other wasn't successful. Since then I've not gotten any.
Pls review your SI using the guide on this video, apply for much more to increase your chances (10per day)... Don't be discouraged, soon u too will be googling and trying to decide which of many offers to choose as it was in my case... God's grace
@@christiespeaks I've gotten 2 invites. One was after I applied your schemes. God bless you for exposing salient points. I sense you are chemistry major. I need guidance
@Christie Speaks thanks for clearing my doubts regarding supporting information. I have a question. Since you shared a format and a few lines to start a paragraph or add to each paragraph. Would this also be considered plagiarism if I add them to my supporting information?
No, you can rephrase and 90% of the essay would be your original work
Pls Christie, do I need to add my experiences during internship(name on the hospital and what I do in each one)and nysc while writing my supporting information
Yes pls add them ... And whatever information that makes you stand out... Are those the only experience you have?
Yes, together with my recent place of work
Hi Christie..can you help with few tips to apply for IT jobs in NHS.
Are you within or outside the UK?
Outside UK..
Hi Christie
I have a career break of over a year, but during that time I have been volunteering. Is volunteering relevant experience to add in my application and how do I make it clear that I am still interested in working in the laboratory?
Hi, your volunteering experience is relevant especially if it's in the field advertised.
Hello Christie. Thanks for this video. Do you think it’s possible for international applicants with just Care Certificate and other CPD accredited training courses (no nursing qualification) to get a job with NHS?
There are care homes that that recruit people with care certificates. See the other videos on care recruitment
Hello, how did you get your care certificate?
@@chiomametuh2471 I got it at Care Tuition. Just google it

Hi Christie, thanks for this video, I have followed everything you said in this Video but do not have an invite yet, pls can I share my SI with you if u could possibly review. Thanks
Hello, ull need to send lots of applications (a least 10 per day) ... And not be discouraged by rejections. Unfortunately, I currently have lots of requests.
@@christiespeaks Thank you
Thank You very much

Please do you have a video on CV?
Hello dear, I may consider it, however in pls know that you only need the SI to apply for NHS jobs
Hi Chistie
Would you mind share your full supported information that you used and allowed you to get invited for a few interview please?
Thank you
Hi, I took the time to create this content as a guide so you can write your own unique SI... Instead of just sharing the one written by me to avoid mass plagiarism.
am sorry to sound so rude, but see christie I graduated years ago, and I could not get on with life fast because of my location. Most of my sets are already in Europe, some people never thought I would go far in my professional development, Thank God today I have it all in Nigeria. I need to move to the UK not just because of money......yes something much more than money, but for over 8 months now since I got my HCPC and have been applying for jobs, all I get is an unfortunate reply from the employer.
I cant see what I am doing wrong or is it that NHS/HCPC is now a scam? ...which maybe I just wasted my money.
please I need help to get over this obstacle in my way. please time is not on my side
You're not alone. I know several persons who have been tried for over a year but finally got it in the end.... Are u getting interviews at all? If no you may need to review the format of ur SI ... What the video on that on this channel
Thank you
Hello christie, nice one! My question is, should I use the STAR method while highlighting my skills, secondly do I need to demonstrate that I have a strong dentification with their trust values.
Indeed, you can use STAR or PAR in highlighting you unique skills but keep it summarised as ull have the opportunity to expantiate during your virtual interview. Yes, pls always state that your values align well with that of the Trust in question.
Thank you Christie for the information. I am BMS but I don't have much practicing experiences. I have only internship and Nysc. What do you suggest? I am currently an application specialist. Do I go ahead and apply for a band 5 BMS? And how do I structure my supporting documents.
