I'm not sure if anyone knows this but when Evan said "I hope this game does well, and inspires more cat like games" At the beginning, I remember there was an article that I read that said this game was THE MOST wish listed game EVER in the history of steam, and from what I've seen so far, I think it'll do amazing.

I just realised another ingenious aspect of this setup: we can't understand most of the signs in this world, preserving the element of surprise. In-universe, that's easily explained by the post-human nature of the world, but it's perfect because cats don't understand human writing, so we become more sympathetic to the "pawtagonist's" POV.
When the backpack went on the cat and she immediately went FLOP, I had to pause the vid because I was laughing so hard
I've played this game *and* watched a ton of content creators play it, but my favorite reaction to that moment has to be from Jacksepticeye.

I felt sad when the cat fell and started to limp. I cried a little. Being the mum of 3 cats can make you feel protective.
I was playing this yesterday too and the fall and the scared and lonely meows and the limping all combined made me start uncontrollably SOBBING. Could just be all the pregnancy hormones but I just could not stop crying 😅

@@johannalilja1368 none of my cats were nearby when I was crying. And then a few minutes after I started playing again once I regained composure, one of my cats RAN into my room, jumped on my bed, and shoved herself into my face and then laid on my chest. She wouldn’t leave me alone from then on lol. I love cats so much 😭❤️

Everyone is playing Stray right now, but there is no one who I want to experience this game with more than you two, because both of you truly appreciate the CATNESS of this game! :D Loved the first part and can't wait for the next one. And no, I totally didn't cry with Katelyn in the beginning...

For mine too... but the game made up for it very quickly! Looking forward to the continuation! I love how satisfying they made the scratching experience. I feel like no cat parents can ever be mad at a cat scratching furniture ever again, because now we know how good it feels. :D

Yeah, weird how cats do that. My cat B.O.B sometimes wants to be human, so he tries to mimic what we do. It doesn't even involve him watching cats on TV. He will just watch TV with us and probably asks "Why do hoomas do this?" He will even sometimes jump on the counter and asks if he can have some Hooma food. Such a sweet cat. I'm going to show him this to see if he reacts
When animating the game they had to base it of a actually kitty for movements and stuff and that cat was called Oscar so I think you should call him Oscar

Actually the catagonist is voiced by a cat named LaLa, modeled after an orange/ginger named Murtaugh and the animations were performed by Oscar a Sphynx.
@@M.R.B18ck quite smart of the devs to be using a spynx cat for mocap. the more fluffy the kitty, the harder to learn about movement and etc
They actually had a TON of cats(and a few dogs) in the office during production and they are all listed in the credits

I’m gonna be totally honest, when I was playing and the cat fell into the sewers, I straight up ugly cried.
I saw the notification for this stream while I was playing the game yesterday! I decided to play it myself to avoid spoilers, and I loved it. I definitely didn't play the whole thing in only a day. I hope you guys enjoyed being a cat as much as I did!

i love this game, glad to see u fall down the catdrain too. imagine a multiplayer vertion. the first 5 mins of the game is the happiest ull be. i was lowkey crying then too katelyn. heartbreaking that u can hear the others calling for u. love how it started with katelyn playing.
Watching you play this game is why we love you guys! Katelyn holding her heart while Evan comforts her while watching a fake cat get hurt. The empathy and sweetness of you 2 is just wonderful to watch in a world seemingly filled with so much hate and anger. Keeps happy, loving, and gaming.😘

I mean humans can and have used the skin, fur, and bones of other animals for various uses including clothing in the former cases. Maybe they consider components from other models of device that are not their own in a similar way primitive human societies tended to with other animal life.

Female orange tabbies are less common because you need to pair an orange tabby boy with a calico/tortie/orange girl. While to produce a boy, all you need is a calico/tortie/orange girl.
This game was so good considering that it’s not a “blockbuster” title. I hope there’s a Stray 2!
if they make a stray 2, they should make it a prequel. a cat wandering the city watching the madness unwind and seeing mankind decay.
Most of the orange cats I have had it is the male ones that aren't that bright. The female I have now is fairly smart. I also had an Orange Manx when I was younger that was fairly smart, so maybe it is certain breeds.
My sweet orange cat Garfield is smart, at least I think so. He's just an average cat, doing average cat things like sleeping eating etc. He is my brothers cat, my brother likes to take him to bed and Garfield will go in there before he asks him to. I think sweetface that's the nickname I give him is so smart, I honestly think all cats are. He's the KING of the house, of our other cats we have. And for a good reason. He doesn't mess around, and he owns the place. He looks exactly like the comics.

I've never clicked faster on a video! You guys were the first people I thought of when I saw this game for the first time.
Knew this was coming, didn't even bother suggesting it! >°•°
Finally someone who meowed at the cameras, I was so disappointed from other videos that never did it.
This game is totally reminiscent of a game called 'Rain World.' It's a pretty cool game animated by AI, and it has lots of story to it if you search hard enough.
It also has the theme of an abandoned civilisation, and exploring it trying to find your family (though i don't think our slug-cat's story is as awfully tragic compared to that first scene haha)
There's a DLC coming out where you can locally co-op a campaign and have more modes.
I recommend it a lot, however sometimes you're stuck in a cycle of death until you find a new way or get lucky- though there are ways to un-stuck yourself if you're totally trapped.
I had an orange cat. Saffron was a girl cat, which is super rare for orange cats. She was very smart, and could open the cabinet door under the kitchen sink by putting her paws on top and walking backwards. As a kitten, she would climb my leg to get picked up.

i like the story and the way the game looks as much as the fact as the game's main characters are a cat and a drone. the graphics are gorgeous as well as the story being very fit for fans of the dystopian genre like me. conclusion, get it asap. it has something for everyone

I have two orange girlies, a year apart in age. The youngest doesn't like leaving the ground much and the older one flies - the only cat I've lived with capable of taking down drapes and blinds from the top. Both are clever enough to achieve their preferred latitude.

The himbo of the cat world is more accurate. They're not the smartest, but every orange cat I've owned has been emotionally intelligent in that they always knew when I was upset and either got really cuddly with me or would act extra goofy to cheer me up. I love orange cats so much.

The farm by my house had a cat who could climb straight up a vertical ladder in the cow milking area.
When the devs made this game they used those small white motion capture balls that used to be connected to a full body suit when ppl does motion capture but here they somehow managed to keep those on the cats and record every motion the cats made.

There are a lot of good games like this. That is not long but long enough that you can play it again and again and never get bored. My favorite is Forgetten Anne, which is good too. If you wang to go check it out.

What I've been doing the last two nights is playing a little bit of stray and then watching up to the same place on the stream :D It's interesting to see how other people play games. I'm NOT a gamer and I don't even have a game pad xD I was using the keyboard the first two times I played and finally switched to joy con and it was sliiiightly better. But either way I still suck at games so I'm slow and keep panicking and dying every time the creatures come out
So fun! 😁👍 Why do I feel that the cat will end up being called Cheeto? You know, cause it's orange and Evan was snacking on Cheetos during the stream? But maybe not because you have the modded MC dragon. Frito? Dorito? Cheezit?
Hmm... Of course, you could go with something like Nacho or Cheddar (as in the cheese). Or perhaps Sunkist, to continue on a different side of the food theme, lol. Cayenne, Tabasco, Paprika or Pumpkin Spice if you want something spicy. 😜 Maybe go with Honey, Mango, Apricot, Mandarin (as in the orange), Creamsicle or Fanta if you want a sweet name. How about a nice golden Tater Tot? 😂 Or Sweet Potato? Maybe something Tangy? Someone is gonna say Ginger but I say that's too generic! Gingersnap is slightly better. Snickerdoodle? 😂
Maybe you want to stay away from the food related names this time. Maybe character names? In this case, you have decided the cat is a girl somehow so I'll skip over Oliver (which might have worked but this orange kitty isn't really orphaned) and go to something like Merida (because Brave girl, lol). Crookshanks would also have been great if you hadn't already decided she's a girl. Same for Puss (as in Puss in Boots) but also because that name might be trouble, though Boots might work. 😅 I like Charmander too but also more male name. Tigger too. Oh, Sandy! Though she's not under the sea, and not a squirrel, lol. Nala is a pretty name but maybe too obvious. Ariel? Misty? Xena!
"Random" girl names that fit Amber, Topaz, Dinah, Daphne, Annie, Lucy, Fiona, Carmen, Tilda or Tabitha (the tabby)?
Honestly though, I think you should go with something gender neutral like Blazer (as in trailblazer) because that's what brave kitty is doing! Penny might work too since the robots were searching for valuable pennies in the trash piles. Oh, Sunset, Sunshine or just Sun (as in leading to finally see it) or Flame! 😅 Maybe Scorch? Sahara? Inferno? Firewall? Firecracker? Sassafras (the sassy), lol. Magma? Citrine? Dandelion? I've wandered off into just orange things.... 😅
BTW, Kumquat would be a funny name too!
