Rowan Atkinson based the character of Mr Bean on a nine year old boy and what a nine year old would do, so you could say he's a nine year old in a grown ups body. In fact Mr Bean is an Alien visiting Earth if you watch some episodes in the opening credits there is a beam of light as he is dropped down from what could be a spaceship.

I think the order in which the episodes came out are the best way to introduce people to Mr Bean, just like it was intended. The Exam is a perfect example of his behaviour and also the inventiveness of the scripts. There's some really good stuff in the 90's series.
What I don't like about "clips" is that they don't show you the full sketch, which are always full of set ups and pay offs, they might work as individual bits but there's some very clever stuff in which the sketches end.

My late Dad loved Mr Bean. As English wasn't his first language he could understand the humour as it was more visual.

I love Mr Bean series .he is NOT the typical British man, and we don't padlock our cars. Mr Bean is a very strange person, not too bright, Rowan Atkinson who plays him is a brilliant and intelligent and hilarious actor. The other church episode is great as is the exam one, changing on the beach one, and the one wear he is a line up to meet a royal. it's meant to be embarrassing and also what would you do if you were in the same boat as him. I love lots of USA comedy shows, friends, Big Bang Theory, Scrubs, Frazier, Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons the list goes on and on.

Bobbies are the affectionate word that the British public has for police constables (derived from Robert Peel who started the police force). We are proud of them, because almost alone in the civilised world, the ordinary policeman carries no gun.
