kaleidoscope needs a subway system to cut through the map and the data center needed to be a concert hall or be replaced by a market all structures that lead to a moving subways that can move and be destroyed. Just my $0.02
Please check out subway systems in Seoul. They have shops and concerts down there. Even a police department.

I don't dislike the specialists because they weren't dirty enough.. Having multiple copies of a very recognizable character running around is cheesy and lame. Their lines were cheesy and lame. Sticking an rpg on any loadout is cheesy and lame. Never once while playing previous titles did I think 'man I wish my soldier was more personable'. I like Battlefield to feel grounded, and I think that nameless faceless characters under the previous class system worked great for a grounded feeling game.
exactly. the new game should just improve what the last one had to offer. no need to change the classes if that's one of the reasons people love battlefield. by now they are trying bring back something dead and broken. after battlefield 1 they shouldve made battlefield 2 in the world war era, and then maybe 2142, in a futuristic setting with titans. That's my dream, but probably wont happen

Good to see BF4 assets being implemented within the game as well as a more classic bf style control points. I think the hazard zone mode truly broke the map designs when it comes to real modes like conquest and breakthrough. Also bf was never intended to have it’s focus on the soldier but the battle that was happening around you. That’s what made bf1 so great. You were just a nameless soldier fighting for your life. It’s so simple just to group the abilities as gadgets and just allow people to immerse themselves. No one needs any quips at the end of rounds. We just want to see what we unlocked, ribbons, medals, scoreboard…And bring back levelutions.

If I wanted to play a game with 'specialists' I'd play Overwatch or Apex (None of them I liked at all.)
In truth though, I'm not even sure it's about being stubborn. Everyone hates specialists but they’re going to be stubborn and keep them in the game. Pathetic. They refuse to admit they were wrong; their fans (BF fans) were right.

i am calling it right now, these sandbag and shipping container textures are going to be used so much that they are literally in every single corner of the map and every map will look incredibly the exact same when it comes to cover
That’s exactly what I was thinking. They are to lazy to actually rebuild maps from the ground up so they put these reusable bags and containers because they can just put it wherever people say they need cover

I think at this stage it's not possible to remove them without rewriting the whole game from scratch. This is why i think it's not going away.
Wait we have to wait for season 2 for some map changes? Where they fortified some positions by putting in some sand bags and containers at some positions? Why does this take so long??? Ah I forgot they have to re-learn the ai for the map changes by iterations a few million games...

I was kinda waiting for more map destruction and weather effects... Also much more guns. It kinda seems like the game launched way too early and was pretty much in development upon releasing.
Appreciate the updates. However most of the updates I saw to the maps is that you "invested" heavily on sand bags.
Honestly, how many of you "battlefield veterans" have ever created a game by themselves? Whether its Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, Battlefield 4 or 3 people always had something to complain about. DICE is working 2 years + on each title, this is lifetime they won't get back. Maybe we don't have classes anymore and seeing the same face over and over is lame, i agree. Although having the same game with the same classes year after year is lame too. Maybe appreciate a bit more what we have and complain a bit less about what we don't have.
It would be different if this game was actually playable at launch, the product was far from finished and they charged people full price. They promised the community so much and delivered very little. They literally had to ADD features in like a scoreboard and voice chat like wtf.
The smartest thing they can do is drop Metro remastered. It would bring a lot of people back. Also I would love to play Close quarters like BF3.

I appreciate the work you've been doing for stability issues, for reducing players on certain modes and adding boxes and sandbags etc for more cover. But the specialists are for hazard zone, battlepass for call of duty and skins for fortnite. This is meant to be battlefield after 8 months after release this isn't enough and you've lost me. I'm glad you haven't gave up and I hope you don't and ignore the ceo and ea pleasing and make the game you clearly want to make. At this point a bf remake for 3 or 4 could help your player base.

The blueprint for what players wanted and deserved was already well written in the DNA of BF3, 4, 1 and even 5 but they made a conscious decision to release this fuckery upon the fans.
They deserve the backlash and every bit of outrage that comes their way for ignoring the fans and essentially abandoning the core values, attitudes and attributes of what made a BF title feel like it has.
IMHO, it's lost it's identity and with it the players that populate it and keep it going. Years ago and even with BF3/4/1 and even 5 you couldn't turn on YT without seeing clips and montages of people doing amazing things and having a good time doing it. Nowadays, not so much. EA should hand out refunds , sweep this debacle under a rug someplace and give the game back it's identity, the player base will come back once given what we rightfully deserve out of this franchise.
And what we want is: Battlefield!

@@dionl4292 I felt exactly the same as you,your right it lost all the core elements that made it so good,but trust me it’s almost back where it should be,it doesn’t need abandoning because they’re investing in getting it right,it is not a shadow of the game it was when it came out,amazing things that blow you away are happened multiple times in every game now,the combat and passage of fight with team and squads moves like games of old and the redesigned maps really feel like slots gone into it with more coming next month,whether you like it or not they’re turning this title around and people are coming back in there droves,I bet you didn’t know bots are taken out now,there’s so many more vehicles.some elements are surpassing BF4,you stand at the edge of the game now and look across at all the mayhem and broken buildings and think this is battlefield trust me,give it a chance next month season 1,there’ll be many like me shouting their praises in the end,there’s good times to be had

Its most amazing that when I was a kid they would take their time and with no internet it had to be good before release. How much better some of those games could have been is up for debate. But they sure as hell didn't look like student programs, despite sometimes being just that. Now we have entire studios that make are completely amateur hour. One has to ask if they played the game, do they even understand the universe(Looking at you Bioware andromeda/EA), what about this game differentiates it from its peers, will this change be better or worse overall and how does it relate to the games core.
I am no longer a gamer. I can't say that as games no longer give me a rush and sense of excitement. Maybe age catches up and you feel like you have already played this many times. Being original is hard. But you can always dig up an old game slap some new graphics(MAKE THEM WORK) add some extra content and you could repackage it for a lot of money, but you have to make sure you don't modify what makes it great. Langrisser was reskinned and it was awful. Looked like hot garbage, sound was terrbible, they even allowed you to play with a more classic 16 bit version but they had changed the core game mechanics-WHY? Its entirely why someone plays a strategy turn based game(Sorta like Fire Emblem but with troop control.) Then you piss off the original fanbase that could have elevated it and don't acquire the new players to move forward with. Lose lose.
I want a straight up team deathmatch 16v16 or 24v24 no objectives just a straight up murder fest.
This game was like they got a group of boomers who had never played a video game before (let alone a BF game) gave them a loose idea of what a battlefield game is, and this is what they came up with. Really regret paying 40 bucks for this mess.
Get rid of the specialists
Add destruction to the maps
And add at least 2 new maps on season 1

Please please Battlefield i've been fan of your game listen to us your customers, This Battlefield 2042 is lacking on Attachments look the SFAR no more attachments the SFAR has only Grenade Launchers why not Laser sights, or recoil control, Specially the Battlefield 3 has no reward skins but 2042 has rewards skin after doing the Task give the Guns better attachments, If not probably me and my friends play Call of Duty

I just don't understand the lack of content. If multiplayer is supposed to tell the narrative that a Campaign is for, why aren't the weapons as diverse as the characters? There's no maps and no Metro or Locker equivalent. Why go straight to 124 players and not 90 or 100?
In the future I think an A symmetrical Battlefield could be cool. Militia Vs Army where Militia make up 2/3 of the players and while having access to modern guns and vehicles they lack the tech of the Army team. When it comes to character customization I think giving people the ability to pick their plate carriers, tactical vests, helmets, headgear, and boots still gives you lots of options for spray painted and different camo skins. Even having different vest layouts giving you different buffs.

Hazard Zone was so lame they never really told you what the objective was, I found it rare I ever came across other players and if you did pick up Intel or whatever nobody cared
I’m not gonna lie I don’t really hate the specialists but I don’t really like them either but instead of specialists they could just put their abilities into like an equipment tab instead of them being on a certain character and if they won’t get rid of specialist at least make Russian and American specialists because honestly playing as an American specialist on the Russian team feels very stupid
That's true, its pretty hilarious to be an American on the Russian side, but I do like the ability to choose any gun for any player. It takes away from the old classes style. But maybe they could add something like classes to save you perfered layout without needing to change each thing each time you want a different layout.

Sandbags and shipping containers as cover. Are they too lazy to remake the maps from the ground up? This just seems like an excuse to not do any actual work
Actually it's just the easiest thing to do without putting in a lot of effort. They actually do it to save time. Creating from scratch would have taken a lot of time like deciding capture point's, making sure it works with portal and other game modes, ai pathing and lot more. I think most devs are either on next ea projects and bare minimum teams are working on the game.

Dice doesn’t deserve the hate. EA ruined everything about this series they rushed the company to push this game out to compete and pushed for specialists so they can sell skins and we all know ea loves money…. I’ve got an idea of how to fix specialists. So most peoples problem with specialists is that it makes the game like a hero shooter and everyone has got like an identical clone. What would be a good idea is giving 5 to 6 different varieties of bf specialists and removing the names. The names would be changed to be like “The pathfinder” instead of McKay.
Or you could just remove the names fully

Yeah, apparently this game was build from the ground up and they totally reworked the engine unlike the Previous BF games, so hence the amound of bugs and glitches. Hopefully they can fix alot of the bugs they are abit annoying.
