    I like the way you cut out the bad wood and put in the piece to replace damaged area.

    I have the same problem and already was cutting out the bad spot. You gave me some more ideas to work with.

    They didnt just go away. They have moved on to other house parts.

      Termites work their way from the ground up..if that was termites there is more damage somewhere.

      There are different types of termites. The ones that come up from the ground are subterranean termites. These are dry wood termites. They never go below ground but spend their whole life in the wood except when migrating.
