Prichard Colón Meléndez (born September 19, 1992) is a Puerto Rican former professional boxer, honorary WBC World Champion, and gold medal winner at the 2010 Pan American Youth Championship in the 64 kg (141 pounds) category. After a 2015 match with Terrel Williams, in which he was repeatedly struck in the back of his head, Colón collapsed in the dressing room and remained in a coma for 221 days due to a brain hemorrhage. He was then in a persistent vegetative state and unable to speak. He was eventually released from the hospital, and is currently receiving physiotherapy and is now able to communicate through the use of a computer.

TERRIBLE FATE OF THE FIGHTER - Shocking and Tragic Moment… The Story of Prichard Colón - Sport
THE OTHER GUY SHOULD BE JAILED FOR THIS, HE MUST BE FINED HEAVLY FOR THIS MOVES THAT DESTROYED THIS MANS LIFE
Yes 100%
One of many sad stories in boxing history
Unfortunately, it's true... thanks for caring though. Much respect man🙏
That ref should be included in the lawsuit. He was incompetent. Blatant shots to the back of the head multiplt times, but he calls the groin shot that arguably was accidental. Disgusting.
He allowed so many punches before taking a point
@@alexander_dimitrov Yeah, it's f**kn BS
Yeah, even borderline criminal. The ref should be investigated for any gambling activity he, his family, and close associates made on that fight. Definitely _disgusting_ is a fitting word to describe this televised injustice.
Thank you for making this video. I hope this helps to raise people's awareness about the fragile beauty of life, the impermanence of our good health, as well as the risks that comes with competing in combat sports.
Blessings to his beautiful family (that includes his friends and supporters). Be strong, and of a good courage, because Prichard Colon is in there. You will see him again... in this life, or the world to come. Nevertheless, *your efforts are NOT in vain* 🙏❤
