This pair is really good! Higashino should be in the women’s doubles since she is good at the front, has jump smash and is experienced in defending jump smashes from the men in mix doubles.

Fukushima should take a look at the way takahashi used to play the shots out of the back. Takahashi rarely played a straight clear. She would often start with a short drop to the right side which was cleared back or played short. She would follow it up with a clear to the opposite rear court which the rear court player had to chase. The return was often weak or short and she could smash the shuttlecock directly at the hip or the space in between the players. They were often not set to return it.
