- Make your own craft storage boxes to hold those 12 x 12 papers and other craft supplies! These boxes also make great home decor pieces. This is a super easy DIY and an ORIGINAL DESIGN.

IF YOU ARE USING 12X12 PAPERS, IT WILL REQUIRE YOU TO JOIN MULTIPLE PAPERS TOGETHER TO MAKE THIS BOX, AND YOU WILL HAVE MULTIPLE SEAMS. YOU WILL NEED 36 X 15 INCHES FOR THE OUTER SHELL, 12 3/4 X 31 1/2 INCHES FOR THE SHELL LINER, 40 X 12 INCHES FOR THE BOX BODY AND A PIECE TO COVER THE FOAM BOARD BOTTOM INSERT. This project is more suited to larger sheet papers, but can be done with 12x12s.

PLEASE tell me that you are planning a variation that opens on the 6” side so I can access my paper pads without lifting them up to see what I have, or standing on the short side so it is more like a file box! Good morning Sherry and happy Sunday! There was no doubt in my mind that you would deliver greatness. Just love this box making style! I have attempted the choo choo train box making in the past and that can be challenging. Yes I have noticed that imitators are prevalent on CZcams and they don’t link your channel, some conveniently “forget where they got the idea” from. Shame on them, they can never be in your league though and just shows that they have no class, ethics, or morals. Thanks for being so generous!

Sherri I had asked you why you use the spatula and bone folder in another post instead of your fingers. After making these boxes from foam board I now understand completely. I ended up using some foam board to help me in making them and it made such a big difference in my edges and my spine. I wish I could send you a picture of my boxes, I made 4. Your instructions are wonderful and they turned out great. I can not wait to make my next item. Thank you for your thorough instructions that are easy to follow. Have a blessed day

This box is incredible. I can think of many things I can store in them. I tried getting the paper at TM, but they told me they had clearanced it out. I do have a lot of rolls I got at HL when you used them before, however they have discontinued them. I absolutely love the dragonflies. I'm sorry for the negative comments you have been getting. I want people to know that your lovely blue nails are your trademark. I always look forward to seeing them. Can't wait to see your new upcoming purse design.

Great box. Dollar tree sells foam core for a dollar. Lots of people make boxes using foam core. Very strong for construction.

Hi I gave up on those 3xthis, 8xthat.....cut 6 of these and 9 of those. But trim your whathaveyou lol. This is beautiful. I bought material and still did not decorate 1 box for storage closet. I went to the dollar store and bought the wall or shelf paper to put on boxes from Walmart or amazom....I love this idea of foam board. The crafty organizer made a paper organizer and drawers. But did not embellish or cover. But the foam board allows you have uniformity....Then to cover or use beautiful paper is everything. Done. You can make it your own. Waiting to see your next project! ♡
