- I have the Apple Studio Display and I wanted to test the Webcam and Microphone built into this thing so I grabbed a couple of MacBooks, the new M1 iPad Air and an Anker C300 Webcam and tested it against each other! If you enjoyed this video then please hit that like button 👍

Your studio display image seemed pretty good to me. Much better than the image quality seen on other channels. Perhaps your monitor isn't affected by the bug other outfits are seeing?
Great video bro 👍 keep them coming 😄
Studio Display looked pretty good to me
The current web cam I am using is the built-in camera of my 27” iMac from 2012, and any of the cameras in this video would be a huge step up from that. I am actually waiting for Apple to ship the Studio Display that I ordered forever ago, and I suspect the quality of the web cam, despite all of the negative reviews, will be more than good enough for me. Thank goodness that the most frequent complaints about this display are only the web cam and the non-removable power cord, neither of which is a concern for me.
I find the performance of all webcams in low light pretty impressive, except for that creepy Anker thing. Also considering the amazingly crappy image quality of your studio camera.
During the whole video, I can't help but have only one thought: ohh, seriously this person is CUTE!
I still love my M1 MBA ❤
I like your video, just keep refining and making videos, you will have more subs!
1. MacBook Pro 14" 2. Apple Studio Display 3. iPad Air M1 4. MacBook Air 5. Anker 300
Great video. Thank you for showing us some results without all the 30-minute preamble that other videos impose on us!!! So, yes, I was actually impressed with the Studio Display - sound and video were fine, certainly good enough for a meeting or even a presentation. Gear heads sometimes fail to realize that many of us are actually in the business of creating content - not youtube videos. So we don’t need all those high-end accessories - like a big microphone on an extension arm, fancy speakers on speaker stands, or a ring light on an adjustable pedastal. I’d really rather get rid of all that stuff. So the Studio Display solves a lot of problems. I can have a meeting where my mic and video quality are respectable, and I don't need all that gear cluttering up my workspace. When I want audiophile quality, I will send sound to my high end gear (which also does not clutter up my workspace). I love to diss Apple (really you should hear me sometimes) but they so often get things right - righter than anyone else does.
Your voice sounds excellent through the microphone and the webcam is also perfect from the Studio Display.
Aw man, I can't believe I almost missed this post! Great comparison - I am equally disappointed and surprised, but not surprised at the same time. Apple seems to concentrate their camera tech to their phones, and not so much their display related tech which seems odd in this era where most face to face communication is performed electronically. Great content as always - missed your posts of late!
The iPad Air looks the best! The 14” Pro looks good! I wonder how the 24” iMac compares as I plan to pick that up.
Indexing?🧐
Good idea for a review, but I disagree with your summary. Yes, these webcams need to be better in 2022, BUT to call them terrible when they are clearly far better than a standalone Anker is perhaps inaccurate... Even compared to whatever camera you were using for filming, they surprised me with the video you got. What camera were you using for filming?
Fair enough! I only say this because our phones (even cheaper $300 ones) have better cameras, better exposure transitioning, better colour renditions etc etc, hence my summary. And I use the Sony A7IV for filming the AROLL and I have a Canon R5C for some Broll.
@@Techkhamun thanks for the reply. It frames your summary nicely. 👍🏼
M1 IPAD AIR is the best.
Anker C300 - disappointing quality...
I only use the Ipad Air's camera for online meetings. My Air's camera looks terrible and is frankly embarrassing given Apple's reputation.
