GR is the sweet spot in the whole Technics sortiment IMHO. It´s closest to the older SL-1200 including visual style (which was lost with GR2 - i really don´t like the G styling as matching everything in one color is weird for me and i really prefer classic styling of GR with black details). With only real downfall being the cueing lever which is lacking that big brass damping cylinder and it´s very similar to the Audio Technica OEM turntables with piece of plastic from lever directly raising/lowering the piston so damping works only when lowering and it also makes cueing lever feel a bit clunky. But other than that, GR is a huge step forward in all other aspects.

갖고 싶네요 1200g...테크닉스 턴에 대해 다시한번 배웠고요 친절한 설명 잘 보고 갑니다.
내가 제일 애용하는 1200수십년 사용해도 고장나지않고 항상 나의 귀를 즐겁게 해주는 턴테이블 하지만 스핀들에 전용 오일 도포해줘야됨

저는 1200mk2를 1989년에 구입해서 아직까지 쓰고 있습니다. 근데 최근에 나오는1200시리즈는 왜투명 아크릴뚜껑을 제품에서 빼버렸나요? 왜그렇쵸? 사용하지않을땐 뚜껑을 덮어두면 먼지도 덜타고 좋은데요~

두 제품의 가장 큰 차이는 가격. 권장소비자가 기준 G는 약 630만원, GR은 280만원. 물론 그 가격에 파는건 아님.
