- EDIT: 2/2/2011: TALES OF GRACES F COMING OUT IN NORTH AMERICA: ataleoftworicha...
I won't remove the Echo version, but this is the unedited version of the presumed English opening.
I do not hold the copyrights for the song or the game displayed in this video. All content belongs to the Avex Group Holdings Inc. and Namco Bandai Holdings Inc.. This video is for viewing purposes only. This video's audio should remain because of the Fair Use trademark law of the U.S.
Boa is so amazing...love her voice even when she sings in english!
BoA has such a beautiful voice! She also sang Every Heart, an Ending song from the anime Inuyasha.
The best tales opening IMO the second would be tales of the abyss and third would be tales of xillia
I quite like tales of vesperia's opening. ring a bell is pretty good. this is nice too.
@mkolpnjitales Yea, this is really good though. I didn't even know that they had an ENGLISH version of the song yet. So, you just made my day, thank you :)
Love love love this song :3 And so glad they finally localized this game, it's awesome.
Yes, and I (and probably most Tales fans) am really hoping that the fact an english version of the song was even made is a hint that a localization announcement is in our future. You know, since Vesperia's opening also got an English version.
OOOOOOOh, they freakin NAILED the concept of a good tales of antagonist with that scene where the hero holds out his hand, and the guy just walks on by. Is...it weird that I can already tell I'm going to like to this game?
Tales fans rejoice. I'm glad they listened, I was one of the 50,000 fans they mentioned that asked for this to be localized, too.
For all the people confused. The theme is by BoA who is fluent in Korean, Japanese, and English. In the past, BoA has released songs in 2 or all 3 languages. So it usually was not unusually for her to have written an English version. 4 different version of this song was released before the game a year ago: the regular one, Tales version, English version, and Karaoke version. The user probably used the Japanese opening animation and then replaced the audio with parts of the English version song.
Nice to see the opening with the English version of the song :) Thank you much~
Wow! This opening theme is really amazing!! :D Full stars.
It's been pretty much confirmed that we will be getting Tales of Graces F, as Bamco has been doing this wierd puzzle thing, and the blurriness get gradually clearer each day. It looks like a wierd deformation of both Graces' and Vesperia's logos, so we might even be getting both.
The game came out in 09 in japan for the WII, We are getting TOG-F (Tales Of Graces F) This updated version will have more to it.
hey guys, dont argue about when this game is coming out and stuff. these are the facts: The game has been realled in Japan, but it does not mean they will not release it anywhere else. Also, there hasn't been an official announcement by Namco whether it is coming out anywhere else, but Nintendo Magazine stated it for Europe in the summer. I recommend that we just hope it comes out in English, but it isnt certain, so dont bet ur life on it.
Mate, no wonder, all the Tales of are like that !
I actually played :
-Tales of symphonia
-Tales of symphonia - Dawn of the new world
-Tales of Vesperia
-Tales of phantasia
-Tales of Eternia
They are all good ! WONDERFULL BRO :3
@AhLadiesman217
Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean that you have to flame them like that.
Also, a Tales Studio executive was interviewed, and when asked about Tales of Xillia and its chances of getting localized, he stated that fan enthusiasm was what got them to localize Tales of Graces F, and that if there's enough enthusiasm for Xillia, then they will localize it.
You're right. It's a very happy-oriented opening.
The thing is that doing that costs money, and the artist must create a piece that matches perfectly with the intro.
Yea, I had to edit it myself.
That's because the song that plays in the opening is a different version than the full song.
Thanks :D
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT! It's expected in the middle of March 2012. Hopefully won't be pushed back, but I know I'm treating myself on my birthday ;D
@brendude95
When BOA released Mamoritai ~White Wishes~, she also released an English Version of it.
Namco is probably going to use the english version for the Localized game. As of right now, though, this is only the presumed english opening.
A long time coming. Finally! Finally!
I cannot get enough of this series! JRPGs > WRPGs!
At first I didn't care for the English version of the song. Now I cant stop listening to it!! >:D
oh man, i love to play this game right away, i played tales series since tales of phantasia... i hope namco release this title to us soon...
"No matter what I know, our aim is true"
Kinda resonates with us Western Tales fans, even though we were kept in the dark we kept faith!
The next step is buying 5 copies for ourselves.
I think the correct lyrics for this part is "I believe you love, I believe in our love. No matter what I know, our end is strong."
I got shivers all over my body while watching this
Nobody ever said it wasn't coming to the US.
Tales of Symphonia took roughly a year to bring it over to America.
@AllThatAwakens
Additionally, Namco has already stated multiple times when letters were sent to them that they have NO PLANS at all to localize both games.
This made me remember that I was waiting for this to be sold in my country. Just checked it up on Finnish gaming store site and it was there!
I've not actually played it myself, but I've watched my roomates play it since it got here. It's an EXTREMELY beautiful game, with awesome characters and an incredible storyline -- not to mention plenty of twists and action to keep it exciting and fresh. The story is definitely the main reason to play it, and it seems great fun too.
The plot itself is a little hard to explain, because there are so many individual stories. xD You need to experience it to understand. Definitely worth getting!
OMG this looks amazing!
This game will finally see a North American debut and hopefully a debut in Europe as well. Hopefully, this will open the door to more Tales games to be localized in the future as well.
There is a fan translation being made for this, and it is progressing very rapidly at this point, so it will be in english eventually.
@NotTrollingAtAll The English version of the song has been around since '09. This was made using that and the Japanese opening from the game. As the description says, this is the PRESUMED English opening put together by someone.
I swear, the tales games have the best opening music/intros
and for the better too. The extra 10 hours or so of new story actually give the story a sense of completeness. The original ending felt incomplete.
check the DLC category in the item menu (it's on the far right) and use it. That will give you the costume titles for Asbel/Sophie. If you're still in the childhood arc, just wait a bit and then check. Using the item unlocks the titles only - you'll still need to get to level 3 of the titles to use the costumes.
I LOVE this game. I'm almost finished playing through, myself, but I'm right at that point before the final battle where all of the sidequests are open, so instead of finishing I've just been moseying along collecting costumes. X33
Yuri, I can believe--he's awesome. And Troy Baker did an amazing job voicing him in the US version.
@Conjulo But that whole site was to announce the release of graces. Each updated photo was a pictures of graces getting clearer and clearer as each day passes. It still had a resemblance to Graces so I personally feel like he has no reason to lie. I've heard unofficially from other places that Vesperia's probably not going to make it over here because it's just a remake. So if it does make it over here, I'm glad but I'm not going to hold my breath because it's been so long.
@MagatsutheCalamity Well Namco Bandai is actually promoting Tales of Graces F with some posters at Gamestop. However, we fans should still play a role in trying to spread the word as well.
First outfit sets are out on PSN for Asbel, Hubert, Malik, Pascal, and Sophie. Each character gets 2 outfits one is a regular attire and the other is a swimsuit. Each set is $1.99 and I've already purchased mine. Help Namco support Tales of Graces F.
@TobiDDR
This isn't a practical joke, read the description, I say its the presumed english opening.
But I uploaded this only a week after the game was released, so I wasn't sure if it would be localized or not.
At this point though, I've lost all hope.
@Gratch12826
No, the Namco Tales Studio is the one that makes the games, its located in Japan, and is a part of Namco Bandai.
However, its considered financially a different company.
Good point. Either way, ToS was an unexpected international success on the RPG-starved Gamecube. With this slice of history in mind, Namco must have the sense to realize that they can capitalize on RPG-starved Wii owners whether the game is a traditional RPG or not... I hope.
It came with as a disc if you pre-ordered Tales of Graces, I just inserted it in with WMM.
favorite opening by far
Such a beautiful song ;w;
i played the japanese demo... it was amazing D:<
cant wait for it in english X_x
cannot wait for this one
I see myself watching this every time im getting ready to play the game lol
got this game imported, absolutely LOVE it. I am so buying the rest
The "Tales of" series is very old. The first one was Tales of Phantasia when came out for the SNES about 15 years ago. They've made a lot since then. Tales of Graces is the 12th games of the main series. This doesn't include the "Tales of the World" spin-off series, Tales of VS or even the failed MMO, Tales of Eternia Online.
@bpckplay92 It's the game Tales of Graces from the Tales series, made by the Namco Tales Studio division of Namco Bandai Games.
man i need these games iv beaten all the tales that come over here all great i need more namco bring it now pleasee
@Kiasko as long as were finally getting a new tales of game shouldnt we all be happy
I can't stop watching the intro XD I love the song too much XD
@Cell1511
Read the description.
This is just the presumed english opening if Namco ever decides to localize this.
(Extremely low chance at this point)
I love JRPGs and I've seen the battle system now and already pre-ordered it with the collector's edition box from Amazon for when it comes out in the UK. I can't believe that I have to wait so long for it though (1st September is the dispatch date)...
@RinJackson BoA sang both the English and Japanese versions of this song. Very talented woman!
Well, if you looked at gameplay videos, you can see that the battle system shares roots with Star Ocean. I can't spell it out, but if you're a fan of JRPGs, this game, and the series won't disappoint you.
This song is AWESOME!!!!
Please release in US soon!
0:19-0:40 describes how the Tales fanbase and I felt about Tales of Graces f during the time from the game's original announcement to the announcement of the localization. XD Can't friggin' wait.
The gamer-generation today needs more games like Tales of Graces f.
Sophie is too cute.
If this doesn't come out in english i'm learning japanese just because of her adorableness.
I've also done a little research on the magazine. And they also apparently announced the release of Mother 3 (The game where Lucas from Brawl is from) for EU. And everyone knows that its only in Japan. :/
From what I hear Graces›Vesperia and that has me amped. Time to release this in NA!
@CarmineRabb Yes it is Boa singing ^^
If you look at the back of the game case of Tales of Graces F you will see who sang the song ^^
All over the place? The game starts off telling you the tragic story of a few kids who like adventure. Tragedy happens and you see how in seven years even strong bonds can be broken. Asbel loses everything he's ever held dear, encounters Richard, and helps him take back the throne. Get's fucked over and almost loses Sophie again. It's not bad, and what is being portrayed is quite good.
Tales of Eternia for the PSP only got released in Europe because it never got the original version.
I say that Graces will still first come to America.
@Leovenardo
It was announced in an official Nintendo Europe magazine that it was coming Summer 2010.
However, this was the same magazine that said that MOTHER 3, a GBA game, would come to Europe.
It never came.
My body is not ready for this.
ITS COMING IN ENGLISH! SPREAD THE WORD! it was delayed because of the game-breaking glitches on the Japanese disk, it also will have all of the Japanese DC for the long wait!
All Tales fans should join "Project Lhant" and "Operation 13." Both movements are dedicated towards the success of the Tales series in the West.
"Project Lhant" wishes to increase the awareness of Tales of Graces F in order to raise its chances of having successful launches in both North America and Europe.
"Operation 13" hopes to increase fan demand to increase the chances of Tales of Xillia being localized since the Tales series producer stated fan demand would be the determining factor.
You must also remember that Nintendo PAYED Namco to localize Tales of Symphonia in America. They originally weren't going to localize it.
its definitely worth a buy - extremely engaging and as usual the battle system is great. Not to mention every copy sold increases the chances of Xillia getting localized! :)
@dobadobadooo
That´s cool! I just got mine yesterday. I promised myself that this gem of a game will be the first game I will play on my PS3 :D
I'm playing it and my god, this game is amazing. At first, the story starts slow as you begin as a childhood, until 7 years passes by and Asbel becomes a knight under training by Malik...things started to pick up.
For some reason, Sophie is very mysterious girl. I do not exactly where she comes from and who is exactly her. My curiosity is killing me that I spent lots of hours in this game. O_O
@ArceusDX You failed to realize the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia got announced way after the 360 version was out in North America and Europe.
The anoucement of Tales of Graces F on PS3 means it's not getting localized on Wii. If it is getting localized, it's gonna be the PS3 version.
Vesperia was on both systems in Japan, for whatever reason the english version for the PS3 was canceled.
Besides that 360 got a pretty much half finished game compared to Graces because it didnt have more the half of the alternate costumes and other content (Like Patty for example) that was included in the original Vesperia games in japan
Aw yeah, it's finally coming out!
YAY! My copy came in the mail today!!!
@willardhwright I wish Working Designs was in charge of these Japanese to English song translations. They had that ability to keep the message of the song intact, yet still have the song fit in the English language.
This song describes EXACTLY how i feel about the game coming to the states :')
I can't wait to play this game. Although there is no word on an european release yet, I can always import one. So things are looking great!
Most of us can agree that this game kick ass to the fullest.
Actually, the guy with dual pistols can combine them to form a swordpole-thing, you know, two sowrds on a stick. Which is even more awesome.
It's coming in the US, and Bamco is nice enough to localize it!
100 hours....no not enough to COMPLETLY enjoy this game :D
why would they put this on 360, Tales has a hard time selling as it is and putting it on a console where these type of games are less popular is absolute MADNESS
Yeah it is. The game was originally a Japanese game. So naturally the singer is Japanese. It ends up starting a little strange because she's still saying everything with a hint of a Japanese accent. I mean its a lot better than most but its enough for most people to notice it.
simply beautiful *O*
@Yopazzz
The fact is that all things need to make a profit quickly. When a book is initially released, the sales that initially happen within the first few weeks is what matters. Many famous authors these days wrote books that initially didn't do so well initially, but sold at a steady rate. However, the author was poor because he wasn't able to make an immediate profit.
And I never said that companies shouldn't release games here, I'm just saying why it could be a potentially risky move.
COME ON TALES OF GRACES! GET HERE ALREADY! I'm getting anxious, waiting 2 months. ; w ;
Search "In the mood glenn miller", get Tales of graces. I don't even... But I now am looking forward to a game that I didn't even know was coming out in the US this soon, SWEETS!
I was so excited when I saw Namco announce for English release. But I was hoping it would be for wii. Now I'm considering getting a PS3 for this.
@TobiDDR Well to add to that if you wait till the end of the video you see that the start screen is still in Japanese. And it's been 6 months since any solid information has been released about a English release in the U.S. I just more convinced now that this was a simple audio edit.
Mkol, what I'm saying is, I know 10 people who play it, and I don't know very many people. Oh and by the way, thanks for uploading =)
@zemos345 THanks, I'm about 6 hours in, just loving it!
I hope Graces is more in line with Vesperia and Abyss, more adult-centric, unlike Symphonia 1/2. Abyss and Vesperia have some dark freaking tones lol
I remember when Yurri murdered that guy in cold blood in the desert or something. I really like how they can go from extreme silly to extreme serious!
