Yes! Let’s rock this, I love that it’s not easy, and no, that once we break the barrier, our lives can change. Don’t give up let’s do it I believe in you.
It will work. I am almost 9 months. Keep learning. Keep pushing thru all the tough parts. There will be more difficult times. It is worth it. I cured my NAFLD, Diabetes, skin issues, arthritis and sooo much more. I would eased into it slower if I had to redo. I went feom 215/220 to now 155. I don't take any pain reliever as I have cancer in my liver. My best advice is listen to your body and listen to other podcasts to get different views.
First nor all I applaud you and your efforts to reach the point you’re at. I dove right into this as well, kind of my nature not too mad at it, just wanna battle through lol. I listen to so many podcasts now it’s insane. I am constantly trying to learn new things and techniques. I’m so glad you’re here, and will continue to support you and wish you the best. Thank you for your support as well. It means a lot.
I also literally just started full blown carnivore five days ago. Like independently blind. I’m trying to heal my psoriasis. You’ve been carnivore for 9 months that’s an accomplishment I must say. Day 5 for me and at times I’m tired/fatigued, diarrhea all the time. At times nauseous and then other times I’m fine. I have been addicted to sugar and carbs my life. How did you make it to 9 months? What do you eat on the carnivore diet? When did you become fat adapted? And did any carb addictions finally subside?
@lukesmith3283 there were MANY ups and downs. It's almost impossible to remember all of the twists. Here are a few hints I would have. Eat fatty red meat. Hamburger is good and 70/30 is good. Need fat. May give you diarrhea but you can back off and increase it. I kept some of the crap food and ate a bit at a time. I wish I hadn't but I didn't want to throw away. My worst time was after dinner, wanted ice cream. I did find a regular ice cream with just milk, cocoa and sugar. That's it. Like 20 gram per 2/3 cup. I would have like 1 to 2 tablespoons after dinner. Like 45 min after I ate. Took me a couple of months to quit altogether. I went for like 25 to 35 carbs a day. Like only heavy cream, no milk. My condiments on my meat added one or two carbs here or there. A bite of cream cheese. They add up. I figured if I kept it at 25 grams I wud make it ok. And I did. The snack I ended up with(I wasted a few bucks on keto type snacks..all BS.) THE snack I eat after dinner now is bacon. I cook 3 packs at a time outside on the Lodge and put in the fridge. It's like heaven. I have cancer so I keep my sugar now down to zero . Like I buy some relish to go on burgers with NO sugar. Tastes ok. Lately I removed mustard and the cream cheese and black pepper. Salt is 99% with a little relish on burgers.i could go on forever. I made it. You can. My skin is like a baby's now...sort of. Even my aging spots on my hands are fading. My hair is getting darker. My skin doesn't peel on my feet. Allergies gone. Snoring all but gone. Psa dropped to great. My wife complains about my sex now..I am like I was when I was 20. Like I took 2 viagra
@independentlyblind5816 even after 9 months I still listen to about 2 to 3 hours a day of youtube info on carnivore and cancer. I got a CGM for my diabetes and it helped a lot!! Helps me keep my winning attitude thru better numbers on my cgm. It's like getting a test back from the teacher, I knew how I did in an hour or two
Thank you so much for this. I just recently came across Carnivore, and I am going to do it but I am still trying to learn more about it and how to ease into it. I appreciate you sharing what you are going through. Lots of good energy and good vibes coming your way!😊
That’s great! Keep in touch, and keep me informed on your progress. Look up, Dr. Chaffee, or Dr. Barry full of really good information. I also like listening to steak and butter girl, five minute body. There’s a lot of good channels out there.
I actually have been listening to all of those except steak and butter girl, I will check her out. Dr. Shawn Baker was the first I listened to. I'm glad that you recommended the ones I've been following, I feel like I am listening to reputable sources. Right now I'm reading up on how bad oxalates are for us. It's all very interesting. I will keep in touch. I will tell you that I will be doing it gradually though, trying to avoid oxalate "dump" and some other side effects. Thanks for your help!@@independentlyblind5816
@@independentlyblind5816 absolutely! I'm not losing, though sticking to it religiously... I think my body is busy trying to heal menopausal damage still. But I feel alive and am overflowing with energy, to the point I get manic if I can't DO something like go for a walk or fold laundry or whatever. I have limited mobility and I can't seem to physically do all that my body needs to do to expend this energy. Might by a stationary bike or something. 😂
If you take something against a headache do not use ibuprofen. It’s terrible for your gut. If you use anything use paracetamol. It’s not as bad. But still best avoided.
Yes, I normally don’t do ibuprofen. It was all that was at work. I rather take nothing, but I could barely keep my eyes open. Thank you so much for the advice. I will definitely keep it in mind, and hopefully don’t need it anymore. I appreciate you.
Hey there, This is a marathon, not a race, band you CAN do this. Take plenty of salt with your meat, it will help a lot! Go to bed early. Drink water more than usual. Snack on fat Ibuprofen isn't your friend. More salt and water! I'm excited to see how you do. God bless you and stay strong.
Thank you so much, for all your encouragement and advice. I’m feeling pretty strong to be honest a lot more than I thought I would lol. I usually don’t take ibuprofen, my Crohn’s usually reacts to it. I just had to finish work and couldn’t open my eyes. It’s very eye-opening. How addicted to sugar and carbs I really am. I appreciate you so much. God bless you and yours.
I am on day 6 when I start getting a headache I drink an LMNT or eat and the headache goes away immediately. For ibuprofen, don’t take on an empty stomach. I gave myself a stomach ulcer by doing that. 🙃
Yeah, the headaches have been the biggest thing for me right now. As far as the ibuprofen, I normally don’t take it because of my Crohn’s disease, it was the only thing that was there wishing you the best we’re all in this together, and I appreciate you being here. Thank you.
Im on day 3 right now. So far i just felt extra tired today but once i ate my second meal I was fine. Im guessing I may have more symptoms while my body transitions ill be looking for some electrolytes very soon
That’s awesome, I had never heard of that diet, and had to look it up. I’m glad you find something that you’re willing to try and make a change. Keep me posted on how it works for you and how you like it. The first step that we need to take to find something we’re comfortable with, and see where it leads us you never know.

I'm 8 days in, no "flu" to speak of (yet). Let's rock this journey!!! 😊

I'm on day 2 of carnivore. Ironically, I just went to the store to find mix packs of electrolytes. Body armor flash IV is what I purchased.
