  • This Screen Gems segment starts silent. When the sound begins, Mr. Truman speaks about learning of the success of the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima while coming home from the Potsdam Conference on board the USS Augusta. He ends by saying the bomb did go off, it ended the Japanese war, and “that’s all there was to it.”
