- Introducing the brand new BMW G310R featuring a single cylinder 310cc engine. It is fitted with an Akrapovič Exhaust which gives an improved sound and presence on the road. Unfortunately my iPhone doesn't fully replicate the amazing sound and feel of the bike. Enjoy......
It is a very beautiful bike and the exhaust note is amazing. Waiting for it to be made available in India.

Great idea. Unfortunately I sold my G310R and bought a BMW R NineT. The 1200cc boxer engine is a gem!
I love the motion sensor alarm in the bike. Definately noted, i was thinkin of usin a bit of super glue where the starter connects the the battary. Cause they tend to hot wire that area??

Pozdrav, može li savet, instalirao sam isti takav auspuh na G310R i dešava se "popping sound" iz auspuha kad dam pa pustim gas. Tek sam instalirao, da li trebam da nešto odradim kako se to ne bi tako čulo ili je to normalno? Ili ECU nauči da daje dobru mešavinu Vazduha/Goriva? Pozz
Imao sam i ja malo “popping sound” ali ništa strašno. To je sve normalno. Nažalost prodao sam motor prošle godine i kupio 2018 BMW R NineT. 1200 kubika brate!! Uživam da ga vozim ….

Thilo Stroehler The Ninja 300 is a sports bike with a higher revving engine and a little more horsepower, hence a higher top speed. It's maximum torque is developed at 10,000rpm while the G310R develops max torque at only 7000rpm. The G310R will accelerate easier on the road because the torque is lower down the rev band. Riding positions will be a little different. Expect the G310R to be a little more upright. It all comes down to personal preference.

NAH!! I agree with you, 4bangers & Harley twins are a dime in a dozen down here in squidville. I prefer the roar of a duc L-twin or KTM twin. The thing about G310 is that it doesn't matter what you slap on it, the engine has no grunt & spending $600+ on an expensive tin can will not improve the sound.

This will be a very late comment but wanted to ask you, I thought this exhaust wasn't road legal, at least regarding their website. However, you bought it and got it installed from a bmw dealership right? Wouldn't it be weird that they woul allow that? Thanks
I think it is legal but if you remove the baffle then it becomes too loud.

Back in July and August I was averaging 3.4l/100km and in the last month or so it's dropped to 3.2l/100km. I'm very happy with sound, ride-ability, consumption, slight power increase...

neutral can be hard to find initially until you get used to the gearbox :)

Not too loud. Sounded great. Now I ride a BMW R NineT :)

Not really, unless you accelerate hard and release throttle and do some engine braking, there might be a little popping.

0331 akira I haven't tested it's top speed and I don't think there will be too much of a change because the bike is capable of reaching it's redline in top gear. It would be nice to have a taller 6th gear.

Do you used auto tune for full system exhaust?
The BMW dealership installed the exhaust and serviced the bike. It runs perfect. The colour in the exhaust pipe is grey, so I assume the mixture is just right. Not running rich or lean.
Have you had problems with the bike? I want one but i dont find good info about it
I've had no problems yet. It's covered over 7000km averaging around 3.1 litres per 100km of fuel consumption. I purchased the bike brand new 11 months ago and all is good so far :)

Lalit Jung KC I bought the Akrapovič exhaust from my local BMW dealership and had them install it on the bike’s first scheduled service. I also kept the original exhaust just in case I want to go back but I don’t think so. The bike sounds and rides better since the upgrade.
And how much they charged for it, I've booked RR310 sports version by TVS...
This bike or the Yamaha mt-07??
MT-07 has twice the capacity, heavier, faster and more expensive than the BMW. Your choice......

Full exhaust attached to the head.
It seems to be more driveable low in the rev range, especially when going around a bend in 3rd or even 4th gear. There is no chain clatter when in a high gear at low speed. I feel that torque is slightly better everywhere and a slight increase in power at the top end.

I feel a slight increase throughout the rev range, especially when going slow in a high gear. The torque and drivabilty is better.

I have been averaging 3.2l/100km which is 31km/l. My average speed according to the trip computer is 38kph.
