Craig is definitely a rebel. His rebellion against the late night show was impeccable
But we miss him
Craig was one of the best late night talk show hosts, his monologues went on forever and were hilarious. he made the rest of them look lazy and predictable.
Compared him to Seth Myers lol
And ..... he's soooo easy on the eyes if you don't mind my irreverence..
I miss Craig.. I hope he does another talk show..
I miss Craig so much but am happy we had him every night for as long as we did. I enjoy Seth and Amber’s Shows now but no one has a skeleton robot sidekick. 😋💜
@@shay2218 He originally planned to leave after 7, 7 1/2 years, but was persuaded by the CBS brass to stay on a bit longer, thus his decade-long (01 of 2005 through 12 of 2014) stint. Glad he had as well.
I still watch reruns of The Late Late Show. The funniest, most irreverent TV ever. Miss you Craig!
Jay Leno Fly?
@@blazodeolireta lol nailed it
One of the worst "talk" shows ever produced...mercifully, it's gone
@@tommyriam8320 we mercifully hope you're gone soon, too
Love Jay Leno fly! Forever! ❤
"Ah, smell that clutch."
"Not my car."
I freaking love this guy.
I busted up laughing as I'm sure many others did likewise at that moment.
Love and Respect for Craig... oh and some of both for Jay too LOL!
Every time I see Craigy Ferg he just makes me happy. What a dude.
“What a dude”
A couple of years ago..
Bumped into Craig. Here in Australia.. in a place called the rock's.. said hi. And we had a couple of beers..
Just after that he new he had to stop drinking..
Yeah Craig Ferguson is a nice guy.. and so when he makes people laugh even in the slightest, they think he's hilarious because he's nice.
I always expect to see Geoff Peterson when Craig is around.
Jay's visible anxiety over the health of the clutch kinda killed this segment. Ever the pill next to Craig's sunny hilarious self.
"Jay it's David letterman let me in" killed me
Craig's show was so underrated. He was my favorite
A genuinely funny and likeable man and a giant of late night television. And Jay Leno.
Team Conan
Dreyno: Yep. I wish Conan or David Letterman was in the car with Craig instead.
Conan failed..... total fail.@@trutle88
Leno was the late night giant... not CF lol. Hilarious.
@@bobabooey4537 I can see why you’d be a Leno fan, what with your wit and astuteness 😐
Craig was the last of the really funny late night hosts and it was a darn shame he walked away
from it (I know, he wanted to).
TV sorely misses him now, but you can't blame a fella for wanting to enjoy life either, so...
It's good to see him in good spirits and sharp as ever, though.
I think Craig seen the “woke” mob forming and decided to bail, his show would get canceled today
WEll said. He was hilarious. I still watch his CZcams vids. They're the best :)
Thank Letterman, too. After all, it was his "other" show.
We did have Conan too
He’s got his new game show the shautle
Miss his show! Craig’s monologues were the funniest ever in late night❗️ sorry Jay😁
Probably no funnier television than the handful of times Robin Williams came on CF's show. It was literally the two of them just going back and forth and CF was probably the only talk shown host that could keep up with Robin.
Jay knows he's not funnier than Craig.
Mujibur and Sirajul, with the help of Dave's Mom drop a safe onto a Buick.
Who could make Larry Bud Melman into a Superhero?
Dave who? .. Say his name.
@RU PLUS TOO? Your take is dumb.
@@mindeloman Chalmydia to the white courtesy phone!
Craig took 5 years off that clutches life and 15 years off of Leno’s.
And his reply was,"I think your judging me" classic Craig!
No synchromesh
Like a man shanking the handle of your axe.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
@@RichardPiper01 It had in the original .Its just Craig .
"Smell that clutch." "Not my car." Gütt Vônne!
Sorry...but it was not funny to see him drive Jay's vehicle so carelessly...
Craig's interview with a pregnant Kristen Bell is the finest late-night celebrity interview I have ever seen. Just pure genius from start to end. Add in his legendary monologue on Britney Spears (which was heart-rending and powerful and the time, and incredibly prescient now), and you understand why many regard him as one of the greatest late-night hosts ever.
Whenever Kristen Bell was on I would be like "Yes! This is going to be good" :)
And about 100% unscripted...which is brilliant.
“You wearing denim? Denim pants, denim shirt? Are ya?” Hahaha 🤣 I miss Craig
It's funny. Wearing double denim like that is referred to as a "Canadian Tuxedo" but Jay is as American as they come, lol.
Craig and Geoff , best comedy team EVER !
BALLS!
The 0 to 60 in 33.2 seconds is pretty funny. Do they really need the 0.2 at the end at that point? Lol
It' so you know you can totally smoke the bloke whose car takes 33.4"
Slower than a Ford anglia… thank god 😂
My late brother had a Minor, and used to drag race VW Bugs at street lights...he usually lost!
These two together were just great. Craig is the funniest talk show host to have ever hit the tube. I still don't understand how a man could be that good-looking.
And I do not understand, how a man given his great looks and talent, could have seriously contemplated suicide as a younger man--it must have been the alcohol. So proud of him for beating the addiction!
He was the GOAT , literally the only late night show I ever watched consistently. I miss him so much
Just his ability to "not" read or study cue-cards on his desk or anywhere is the "closest" we've seen to Johnny Carson. He is/was soooooo funny and such a joy as a talk show host. Truly . . . . one of a kind, unlike all!!! So happy to have enjoyed him the years he chose to hold the position.
I started to tear up as soon as I saw the Much Loved Guy Craig! Man Craig, I miss seeing you every night. I'd be happy seeing ya a few times a year Bucko.
There is no replacement to Craig. Each late night show host brings their own spin but Craig was on another level.
He, and conan, remain the most unique, and funniest hosts ever on TV.
That was a beautiful line- " My dad must have been smaller than I remembered him." All the good ones were.
Craig is the best. I still watch episodes of his late late show weekly on CZcams. The man had a way with words and with people that few posses. He is sorely missed! Glad to see he is healthy and happy.
This only being 10 minutes long is a crime, but I loved every minute of it
So nice to see Craig and hear his laugh again.
Jay and Craig REALLY play off each other well. It's magic! I want to see the movie! Get to it.
LOL...the look on Jay's face when Craig was grinding his clutch was priceless. :)
I was just checked Jay's older episodes and ran across this true gem.
Craig Ferguson is one of the naturally funniest people alive.
Much like Jay.
I was happy to see Craig had given up drinking in 1992 which makes his late night show stunts all that much funnier.
9:08 Craig and Jay agree on one of the fundamental truths about engineering, flying and cars.
Two true legends of comedy bonding over the suffering of a British gearbox in a lovely Morris Minor station wagon.
Life really does not get better then that.
Man, how I miss Craig! His talk show was just edgy and a blast to watch. He’s kinda like Robin Williams, you never know what you gonna get every time you see him. Leno and Craig, two of the legends 👍🏼👍🏼
Boy do I miss Craig’s show! He was the best talk host..loved his show.❤️❤️
Craig Ferguson is sorely missed. James Corden is about as funny as receiving a javelin to the eyeball.
What a shame he’s no longer doing his show. They should have given him Letterman’s show when he retired (although Craig was paid off handsomely)
LOL Now that is a well placed jab! Ouch!
LOl i find James the same its why im glad hes gone to the USA hehe
@@SnakeyUk08 Take him back or we'll send you John Travolta and Tom Cruise.

they're all terrible now. Craig was genius.
I hate cars, I don't even drive, but I'm still watching this because watching Craig's been one of the few things that cheer my day up lately.
Craig would make a brilliant Dr Who.
I'm still bucking for the twins who played Fred & George Weasley in Harry Potter n(twin doctors!!), but Craig would be great!
@@VAXHeadroom No Richard Ayoade would be the perfekt doctor.
I want Craig to be a companion. But not a character. I want Craig Ferguson, *the actual person*, to be a companion of the doctor.
He would be but they would not allow him to be as funny as he can be.
Craig’s “not my car” comment reminded me of a joke I heard not long ago. What’s the difference between a rental car and a 4x4? There are just some things you won’t do in a 4x4.
The really old one; how do you fix a rental? Turn the radio up.
The rental car will go anywhere
I'm careful with rental cars. I just can't abuse a car, even if it's not mine.
What car goes fastest off-road?
A rental car.
I have had four Morris Minors in the last 50 years: two in Britain and two in North America. Brilliant little car.
I’m an MR2T guy. There’s just something about simple/raw/mechanical.
So did they do left hand drive? I was wondering seeing this or if Leno remade it.
@@bowdencable7094 Yes , plenty LHD minors out there .
Man, Craig is a legend. He was my favorite late night host and I used to watch his show every week. Good times, and I miss him being on TV! One of the funniest and realest guys, ever!
I watch reruns of Craig's old show and I enjoy them much more than current shows, a rebel indeed!
I loved the food joke. Brought back memories.
In my residential college at university this stunning slim tall blond sat next to me in the TV room.
After talking for a while I asked her back to my room to have a cheese toasty.
We have now been together for 50 years. :)
Craig was the best on Late Night. No politics. Just pure humor and the best interview skills. Especially with women!
He actually had politics on. He had monologues about politics. But not exclusively and at a less political time...
This brought a tear to my eye. Two of my favorite comedians of all time back together again. Oh memories 😭😂.
JayCraig!
I miss both of their late shows so bad. 🥺
Ah there goes the funniest late night comedian to ever grace the television having given me years of laughter, and of course Jay leno next to him
Man I've missed Craig Ferguson
he has a game show...
I like how Craig tried to blag Jay's car from him. A true Scotsman.
Didn’t the Scots invent the copper wire when 2 Scottish guys were fight over a penny 😂😂😂
@@Shane-zx4ps Yes, but before that the one who had it first dropped the penny. He bent down to pick it up and it hit him on the back of the head.
@@markscott554 good material here, I’ll use that!
A true Scotsman wouldn't ask, he'd just take it and see how much Jay wanted it back :-)
@@Shane-zx4ps No those were the Dutch people from the province of Drenthe...
Love The Jayleno Fly and his Craig compilations on youtube
Minors were used as taxis back in 1990 here in SL. We still have lots of them still running like new.
Interesting.
I saw those in India. Known as either a Hindustan Ambassador, or Padmini Premier.
The Ambassador was based on the Morris Oxford, a bigger car than the Minor, the Premier was based on the Fiat 1100
There are many workshops in Sri Lanka renovating and rebuilding Minors. Basically, they can keep them on the road indefinitely. When a UK company that restores Minors for the UK market wanted new body panels it actually set up a factory in SL to make them. There's also a great fast forward vid on YT of a young Sri Lankan engineer disassembling and rebuilding the A series engine.
All these guys praising Craig, and it's deserved. But Jay is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME ❤😊
I’m glad to see these two as friends. From Craig’s final Late Late show with Jay Leno as guest to driving antique cars while telling family stories :)
Jay must really like Craig. I've never seen him let another person drive his cars.
Jay and Craig are very good friends. Jay was Craig's final guest on the late late show
Jay's mother was Scottish so they have that connection
Actually, he has allowed Dennis Gauge of My Classic Car to come over and drive his cars on for his MCC show though he often starts out in the drivers seat then later allows Dennis to take over driving. One car he has never allowed anyone else to drive is the is his McLaren F1, largely due to insane value these cars hold today (one recent,y sold for $20 million at auction). So it’s not strictly true no one is ever allowed to drive his cars other the him with the exception of certain special/vary rare/unusual cars in his collection.
@@Charlesb88 I remember watching an episode where Jay tossed the keys to one of his Duesenbergs to Dennis. Dennis's jaw just about hit the floor and then they took this beauty out on the road. Can't imagine driving a 2+ million dollar car amongst the idiots in LA.
@@darrelljourdan3687 In the case of My Classic Car, the producer of that show always prearrange what cars Dennis will get to look at and whether he will be able to drive them. That way he never ask "Can I drive?" and gets a no in response. If he can't drive the car in question then either the owner drives it or they just look at it but he can drive another car instead. rarely does he not drive at least one car unless it a car show episode where he just talks with the owners about their cars and has then show them off. When Dennis acts shocked, that most likely him pretending to be shocked as part of the act so it looks like the whole thing is unplanned. There may not be a script but their is general plan for the segment prearranged. So I'm pretty sure Dennis knew if Jay was Ok with him driving that particular car before the cameras rolled and just fake surprise. It's too risky to leave this sort of thing to chance with this type of show.
Craig Ferguson, the most underrated talk show host ever to appear on American television.
Everyone in this thread is saying how great he was on his top rated show. What part of that suggests to you that he was underrated, moron?
@@markfox1545 Why did you have to call me a moron?
You’ve gotta have conflict for real comedy and these two are perfect together. They’d be a great team.
Morris Minor was the first car I ever drove on the road, the starter and the exhaust sound brings back memories.
My first car was a mini
Love it. Craig goes straight after Jay with no Fcks to give. "Can I have this car". Love it. Everyone else is in awe of Jay and kisses up constantly. Craig treats him like one of the boys and then drives Jay's car like he stole it. Pure comic genius. Best thing to tell the ultimate car guy, "I'm into airplanes".
Two very quick and talented people that seem to do it effortless love them both thank you for the show.
Craig's show was a blast, super funny
First (and probably last) time you'll ever see someone leaning on one of Jay's cars. Love Craig. Miss him and his skeleton sidekick.
And Secretariat! :-)
I had a 1953 Morris Minor, absolutely cracking car, perfect for pre motorway (highway) driving. Cheap to run, you can fix everything yourself, comfortable and economical. And it would do 60 mph.
love ol Craig and loved his show!
Holy crap. I was in Sri Lanka in 1991 and this is absolutely true. Morris Minors were everywhere and lovingly maintained. There were also lots of classic British bikes there too…. Now back to watching the video 😜
Ferguson & Leno together, UNSTOPPABLE! And funny as you can EVER ask for!!!
LoL
My two favorite comedians of all time!!! I miss Craig Ferguson and his humor on late night TV SO much! But WAIT!!! WHY isn't Jay wearing a denim shirt?
He had a premonition that Craig would give him some crap about it.
Craig was the realest host ever in Late Nite history. The best part about being real is that you need to hide your identity.
When I first moved to London from Scotland , I actually bought 5 of these at once. The Saloon, van, traveller, truck and a customised one. I had the van as it was the only UK vehicle you could fit a drum kit in in the 70s
Craig is perhaps the quickest comedian today 👍👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My Dad had three of these in his youth in Ireland. He had them all at the same time. One which ran, kinda, and two donors, which eventually disappeared. Simple times.
Craig is such a class act!
Craig Ferguson was a boring comic and now he’s trying to rook jay leno out of junky British car
Love seeing these two guys together. Both are so funny and down to earth.
Never thought I’d see Jay [and Craig] in a Moggy Traveller. Mini Moke, Austin Maxi & 1800, Hillman Hunter & Avenger, Vauxhall Victor, Ventora & VX4/90 FD/FE and Triumph Dolomite Sprint, Spitfire & Stag next please. 😋🤘
Highly entertaining! I suppose our REAL look at this vehicle will come when you and the crew rebuild the clutch after this drive.
What a lovely restoration of a moggy minor.
Lived on the street one over from where Craig grew up in Cumbernauld, I don’t think that car had enough oooomph to get up that hill 😃
This was cool to watch.
Ha, sunny Cumbernauld, one of those towns people couldn’t wait to grow up and leave as soon as humanly possible!
Last time I saw Craig, he was trying to get an increase limit on his overdraft in the Bank that used to be at the beginning of Great Western road, he got a knockback, 🤣🤣
Craig ferguson is hilarious. His talk-show style was so uniquely playful yet relaxed.
Two comedians in a 1960 Morris Minor, gotta Love It!
My family had one of these when I was young, 50 years ago. Great car, used for carrying scavenged wood for the fire, deer my dad shot, and my three sisters and me. I usually ended up in the back. No car seats then. When it finally gave up the ghost dad sold it to a farmer to use as a hen coop.
Great to hear that unique Morris Minor burbling exhaust note (in between the gearbox crunches😂)! Love it! ❤️
I LOVE & MISS CRAIG FERGISON! Such a funny man. Any chance of doing a follow up with the Ford Bronco Craig gave Jay a few years ago?
They did a video on it awhile back. If I am not mistaken they put the new GT500 engine in it amongst other restoration details.
A classic old car. An era when you where never in a hurry to be anywhere and never in a hurry to slow down either! Every 50's and 60's car dictated that fact!
Yep, Dad had a 53 Desoto. I was thrilled when he let me drive it in high school in late 60s. Even parked with Vettes and GTOs at the drive-in.
Fun odd fact, the Sri Lankan Tamil Tiger insurgents made single shot ‘shotguns’ using the Morris’s steering columns.
Chinese used Bamboo as the first Gun Barrel..
Whoa never knew that 😳
@@graemejohnson9025 Similar to Captain Kirk's mineral shotgun he used against the Gorn.
My grandmother had a Morris minor. Dad taught her to drive when she was 65, and she wasn’t very good at it (mainly forgot to use the brakes). It was the first car I learned to drive - I was 7 years old and a better driver than Nana. 😎
6:54 "In England you just need a biscuit" - still true to this day. But don't skimp on the biscuit.
My dad had one of these when I was a kid. We loved it and there was always a fight between me and my siblings over who got to travel in the boot.
I so miss Craig. Not the same without him
That demin bit is hilarious
One of my aunts had a Morris Minor convertible in the mid to late 1950s. It was the model before the Minor 1000. Split windscreen. She used to drive it most of the time with her right foot fully planted on the accelerator. They weren't very powerful, but they were a good car.
My first car was a Morris Minor, not the woodie though.
The Morris Oxford is still alive and well in India: lots of 'Ambassadors' still running!
The Ambassador was based on the Morris Oxford series III model, first made
by Morris Motors Limited at Cowley Oxford from 1956 to 1959. Despite its British origins,
the Ambassador was considered a mid-luxury Indian car.
As soon as I saw Jay had Craig on, I stopped what I was doing to watch it. Loved every bit of it, hated it was so short!
Same here. These two were the best late-nite hosts, period. Very different styles, but both genuine, humble, good people.
@@grizzlygrizzle Yep, it’s sad they are gone. I’ve stopped watching late night because the hosts out there now are terrible.
That moggie reminds me of a Dame Edna show years ago, she wasn’t the street talking about historic England and pointed to a Morris Traveller and said look a genuine half timbered car.
MORRIS MINOR!!!!! What's better than these two in a Minor?
When I was a very little boy, my father bought a Minor 1000. That was like 1962. Love at first sight! If you want to take me back to my childhood and Hearn me coo like a baby, being in a Minor.
Would someone please buy me one of these?
My dad's first car in the late 60s was a split screen 1953 Morris minor. Impressive enough for my mum when she met him lol.
Craig resting on the car, Leno must have been going crazy inside.
Picking up my FJ at my service guy’s shop and saw him about to lean way over the hood to put on the center windshield wiper blade (there are three) - I jumped outta my van and yelled “you better take off your belt before you do that!” 🙄😁 He knows better…
Leno does the same thing all the time - I don't think he cares, but it drives me nuts.
@@eurekamarijka haha! I thought that too, and I’m sure Craig did it completely on purpose….
Jay does it all the time and he's always wearing jeans lol. It bugs the crao out of me when people lean on cars like that
Great video. Craig F is very funny. It runs in his family. About 17 years ago I was on a long-haul flight next to his aunt and uncle. She was very very funny, especially after a few little bottles.
The Morris Minor 1000 was the luxury version of the Minor... My father-in-law has a Morris Minor 850 - one less chipmunk than the 1000. His example ate its transmission and he got a "new transmission" from a scrap yard, of course, but it was the transmission from a 1000, which didn't quite exactly match up with the 850 motor. We had to make a big hole in the bell housing to allow the flywheel to turn. I remember him getting cigarettes off me as we worked on the car - he told his wife he had quit, so he had to be really careful she couldn't see him. It was seriously childish, as he was in many ways... He also couldn't go home to the city he was born in because some of his old mates thought he'd murdered someone without sufficient reason and got off on a technicality, which they would have remedied with extreme prejudice. Still, I have plenty of good memories of these cars.
OMG! By best friends dad had this car! This brings back So Many GREAT Memories! THANK YOU.❤️😢
I'm impressed...Jay didn't bounce him out of the seat after the clutch odor permeated the air...great video, as always
The look on Leno’s face while Ferguson smoked his clutch a ground the gearbox. Ferguson might be good with the ladies but not British cars!
Mos mos je bent n Vos.
@@sjefhendrickx2257, Dutch?
To be fair I look like that when Jay gets handsy touching the paint all over all these old cars, right in front of the owner. Can't tell the King of car guys anything though lol
As soon as I heard that crunch I knew he'd tried to put it in first while the car was moving--no synchromesh on first gear in these cars!
It was so nice to see Mr. Ferguson again. That car brought back some fond memories. Thank you.
That’s a beautiful woody. When I was a kid my mates dad made a business out of restoring/ rebuilding the wood frames. They went forever. One passes me every day on my commute in Dublin being used as a daily driver.
I miss Craig Ferguson. Some people are just Funny being their selves. Sony or somebody needs to throw Craig a Blank Cheque and let him do his own show, on his terms........
Yeah, but you know it wouldn't be as good. It just never seems to work that way.
Didn't Craig start a radio show out of his shed or something tho?
At least put out a boxed set of Craig's shows on DVD at a reasonable price.
Never realized Craig was taller than Jay. I can't figure out who's more chill.
Jay is of average height...5'10".....Craig has said that he is 6'2"....that seems about right, when they are standing together.
I had never heard it put that way about planes and cars (engineering in general for that matter).
I think I shall adopt that as my answer. "I like because you have to be honest. If you lie, people can be injured or killed."
That attitude was formerly applied more commonly in interpersonal and social contexts, and will be again, I hope. The survival of our Republic depends on a moral populace, but leftists, especially since the advent of postmodernist notions about the nature of truth, have relegated honesty to an appearance, a posture designed to deceive people. CRT is one of the outcomes, and given the violence that approach to race relations has spawned, I guess Jay and Craig's observations about honesty in engineering actually applies to social settings as well.
I'm watching the old clips, Jayleno Fly, of the show with Craig & robo Geoff, to funny, so so good, I got a smile on me face just typing about it. Miss Craig Fergusion's style.
