- Everybody likes cooling off on a hot summer's day & getting wet on a rapids ride is a fun solution, especially when it's themed as well as this one.

The best part of the ride is that you get to share the experience with strangers and t's kinda awesome how you see other peoples reactions.
That's why I love this ride
Flench I like that part too! but sometimes it's uncomfortable when someone looks so miserable or angry on the ride especially after getting wet? as if they didn't know it was a water ride and they were probably going to get wet.
10 kids from my school including me went on this ride yesterday and oof soaked
This is the only ride in the whole park that sprays you. The other rides go so fast it gives you a light drizzle, but this one when it hits, gives you a TIDAL WAVE. It's like someone dumps a bucket of water on your lap. It's amazing.
And the Jurassic park ride!

I've been on a bunch of these raft rides at various parks, and this is by far the wettest, and therefore best, one I've ever ridden. For sheer wildness and drenching it blows Disney's Kali River Rapids right out of the water.
Once they let us ride Lake Compounce's Thunder Rapids straight through three times without getting out of the raft. That's a good raft ride, but that experience got us as wet as just one ride with Popeye and Bluto.
When i went on that today, a wave of water went above my head. So i was completely soaked. I wasn’t prepared to get THAT wet. Some rides say you will get soaked, nahhhhhhhh all the water rides in uni orlando, ALL OF THEM. They will soak you with no mercy. So for the rest of the day i got to enjoy the squish squash of my socks!
Hahaha! I know that feeling, the socks.

The scenery of Universal's parks with there rides are gorgeous!
Did this immediately after dudly do right. Wife and I were so soaked between the two we had to take a 10 minute break to wring out our clothes and use the blow dryers in the bathroom to dry shoes out. This is from my experience the best large tube ride around.
Awesome ride, though I can't help but think that the pre-ride warning "You will get wet, possibly soaked" was incorrect.
"You will get soaked, possibly drenched" would've been more accurate.
This is my favorite rapids ride so far, because of the theme. My second favorite would have to be Thunder Canyon at Dorney Park because that's the one I've gotten the wettest on each time we went!
When I went on this, I was wearing a white shirt. Worst. Mistake. Ever.

Mine & My Hubby's FAVORITE ride! My daughter thinks we are completely insane for loving it so much. We rode it three or four times last time at IOA. Best part is getting on with someone who is totally dry before the ride, and watching them get soaked.... awesome!
I went on this ride as a kid years ago and got soaked. I loved it. but now as an adult? nah lol
I love this ride. I went to IOA during Christmas of 2008. Weather was beautiful and there were no lines. Hell, I didn't even have to get out of the raft. I went about 4 times in a row with NOBODY in line.
The most I have ever ridden Popeyes in a row is twenty eight times. I'm aiming for fifty this summer! :) if you haven't ridden it, RIDE IT. Seriously: It's awesome. Great video, mate
The awesome thing is, you don't have to ride it that often to be more soaked than on any other water ride in the US. Once is usually enough. Such a great ride.
And you get to see other peoples reaction when they get wet

I went on this thinking I would dry off after a while. It didn't help that it started thunderstorming RIGHT after the ride ended -.- you get SO wet but its SO worth it. Best water ride EVER!!!! ^.^
Last time I went to USO I went on dat ride and I + everybody else who rode dat ride got STRAIGHT-UP SOAKED. Just like a water ride
this is how a river rapid ride SHOULD be, lots of white water, lots of turns, lots of waterfalls, lots of waterjets and lots of fun. other theme parks should look up to this

My Dad and I love this ride! In about 2 weeks I'm going there with the fam and this will defiantly be one of the first rides we get on! Woot Woot! I love Disney/Universal/Islands so much! It is truly the funnest place on earth!
This ride is so fun as you get to interact with everyone on the raft and it’s always so fun
You have to love how social this kind of ride is! Laugh when they get wet and they point and laugh when you do!

I love this ride! you get really wet and there's a convenient table-like thing in the middle of the boat with a plastic cover on it were you can put your valuables so they don't get wet

There was practically no wait when I went, so we got to go on at least 5 times in a row every day =D i miss it so much =(
funnest ride ever! i've been on it like 14 times. it never gets old
haven't been to Universal Orlando in years... just before they shut down the Back to the Future ride. going back this summer and may then return next summer depending on when both London/Diagon alley and the new hotel opens
Loved this ride!!! i went on jurassic park and ask to be in the front row then my family got mad at me lol. Then they made me sit in the front for ripsaw falls. Then we said we might as well go on the last water ride which was Popeye and there was no line!! Everyone gets DRENCHED on this ride but its so fun!!
OMG watching these types of videos gets me so excited. my class is going for an end of the year trip in MAY!! just thought id put that out there.... everyone else who is going have fun its an amazing place ive gone 2 times i promise you every ride there is one youll never forget!!

Well when you get soaked on this ride, just go on The Hulk after and you're dried off completely! This was so much fun. Went with band and they let us ride five times in a row!

This is EASILT the best 'river rapids' ride I've ever been on. Me and my family were in hysterics every single time. I fear with Jaws gone this will be next :(

i went there last week! there was surprisingly no line when i went on that ride. but when we just got on the line got bigger lol. Everyone gets soaking wet on this ride. its like the best rapids ride ever though. haha

I remember going on this ride - loads of fun, it's an absolutely excellent ride. Also felt *really* nice to get wet after walking around in the heat all day.
It's in toon town and kind of off from the main strip. So I could see how someone could miss it. It's not too far from Rip Saw Falls.
This ride is the most fun because you get to pick on the others as you try to turn the boat
I remember when I rode this when we got to bluto's boat wash and little kids was crying next to his mom and then stopped after the big dropped and then cried again when we got off the ride

when they said you get wet I didnt relize it. LOL... my camera was wet from jurassic park then got soaked with this ride. It only reads files now the lense still has water in it. I went back home to California and are trying to fix it but I dont know if I can the lense is a zeiss and might need fixing from another place. It cost me 2k when new 2 years ago. Florida was fun though :) glad you got this on camera!

I remember going on this ride in February,2013 gosh it was so cool this was the last ride we went on for the day because we knew we were gonna get soaked and we go soaking wet.Warning if you are planning on going on this then just know that they don't have any lockers for you to put your electronics or stuff in.So they will get wet and when we came off they had like this people dryer that we had to pay $5.00 for and it didn't dry us at all lol
I was on this ride...in the front row...by myself...while it had technical difficulties which made it go faster than usual

this looks like a cool ride and i love rapid river rides but this ride seems like it douses you with water for no reason at points but i am going in about a month so i might go on this ride
You get absolutely soaking on this, make no mistake. But it is a fantastic ride.
People laugh harder and are more apt to talk to complete strangers on these kind of water rides. There's nothing like them in that way...

You will get soaked from Head to Toe on this ride! There is no getting luiky on choosing a seat and possibly not getting wet, everyone was soaked after this.

This is great. The parks in the us are epic compared to the uk. This ride would have finished after 2 mins in the uk
4:14 it couldnt be over, popeye hasn't ate his spinach yet ;)
If you are ever going to ride this don't wear an ponchos cause they have this heating thing outside of Popeye and it really gets u dry fast
