OK, I invoke a 10 year ban from the Oscars for the Oscar Bosses who were behind this, and a lifetime ban for Lady Gaga who enabled their nefarious plot.

That night really showed how revolting Hollywood and the Academy have become. When that audience gave Will Smith a standing ovation, it was as amoral as cannibals dancing around a pot. Personally I thought Lady Gaga’s “I got you” comment was condescending, and if she really meant it she would have said it privately to her a moment before, and not in front of millions. Obviously. Liza Minnelli is such a nice person and this makes me upset on her behalf.

Several years ago @ the Academy Awards "Ellen" made a total ass of herself (at Liza's expense) when she (Ellen) blustered her way around the audience. What might possibly have been appropriate would have been for Ellen to simply indicate that Judy Garland's three children were in the audience that night. End of sentence. Instead, she had to mouth off about some nonsense of how someone had really gotten good with the Liza makeup & out fit that night, indicating that it was a drag queen, rather than Liza. Why did Ellen not have the profession expertise to leave them alone or approach that moment with the clarity & dignity it deserved? A nervous bit a laughter happened, but none of Judy Garland's adult children were amused by such a dreadful encounter. The Academy Awards deserves better & Liza Minnelli , Lorna, & Joseph Luft -- deserved better too. The Academy needs to get the emcees to stop with the cheap, low-end, roasting of talented people. They work hard to get there & even harder to stay there. Stop with the sabotage of people who attend the Oscars. It is tedious & hardly for the benefit of all concerned.

Of course Liza was forced. It would not have taken rocket science to get her in a directors type of chair behind curtains with Lady Gaga & then opened the curtains to allow them to do the presentation. Any stage manager should have planned ahead for something like that!

I'm sorry, but this is BS. Minnelli has had serious balance and mobility issues going back almost a decade (e.g., there's a video of her trying to stand unassisted on the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars that's pretty alarming). It's also widely-believed within the industry that she's suffering from dementia. Feinstein is just trying to continue the charade that there's nothing wrong with her, and that she just "hurt her back", or that "she strained a muscle after a dance lesson", or whatever other excuse is trotted out after any of her increasingly rare, generally frail public appearances. We're supposed to believe that a person who's spent a lifetime performing in all kinds of conditions and situations suddenly gets rattled because of how she's seated? OK, I appreciate that Feinstein is trying to look out for his friend and protect her image, but not if it comes at the expense of blaming hardworking, well-intentioned people who did nothing wrong, other than trying to give an aging icon a nice moment in the spotlight.
